as a german, i can say, we don't have that problem, especially in tech stores where the employees seem to be hired based on their hiding skills. also the ability to ask silly questions such as "can i help you" would never be a sentence ever to come out of a german tech store employee, the most given answer to any question in such stores here in germany would most likely be "not my department". therefore, people just browsing shelves in the store and leaving without buying anything, is perfectly normal.

I have talked to sales people trying to help me find something specific even though I tell them I am just browsing. You find a lot of cool stuff by going into stores you don't know about, also somehow find out there are a lot more XXX stores than you would think, because a lot of times they don't broadcast they are that kind of store.

Well usually they actually explain the problem or something and he goes into problem solving mode, and his instincts to always blame the employee come into play. In this case, Brit just says the problem is "THIS MAN", so the only thing he can do is *get rid of the man*. Because he isn't capable of rational thought, he doesn't even begin to consider the possibility that Brit is the problem (which, just to be clear, she isn't), so he isn't able to go into "blame the employee" mode.

Personally, from working at a cinema, it's infuriating when people come in, especially during busy periods, with no idea of what they want to buy. Especially when they also don't check the limited menu while in the queue and wait until they get to the till to take 5+ minutes to look it over and come to a decision while ignoring all your prompting to try to help them figure it out. Bonus points if they complain that they're spending "so much" money despite having just bought multiple meals and snacks.
