Further to my previous message. This is how I learn this excellent strumming pattern. I look for obvious patterns to reduce my muscle memory loading. Bars 2 and 4 are identical, I learn them and now I have achieved 50% as a quick win. Then I learn 1 st Bar which is fairly similar to bars 2 and 4. I then play in sequential order Bar 2, Bar 1 and Bar 4 to appreciate the difference(s) as previously stated. Bar 3 is a standalone due to its unique dynamic, and its the only bar that uses "e" so I don't get confused half way through learning. I hope this did not bore you

This is an excellent site for learning guitar. A nicely presented strumming pattern building up the viewers confidence by adding the strokes. On the sixteenth notes my music teacher taught me to imagine the "e" and "a" were a surprise startle reaction that forces you to make an upstroke in response. Try it, certainly worked for me. Once I learnt this ( I become less animated :-)
