Ty Landrum teaches the relation between yoga philosophy and asana practice in the most inspiring way! Particularly, I also liked that Ty recommended some literature, as I was really not knowing where to search for some references.

Dont get too caught up in philosophy. These are practices that allow you to have your own insights instead of relying on the insights of others, insights that cannot be put into words. At some point, you have to let the ideas go.

Shiva is one of the five demigods of Hinduism. He is the creator of Yogaasanas and pranayama. Shiva's devotees pray to him like GOD. In Yoga tradition, we consider him like a teacher.

Demi God? Lol, he's the God of Gods. He's limitless, formless, shapeless, divine entity. He can wipe out whole existence including all Gods. He's most powerful

These stories aren't metaphors for Hatha Yoga practice... The mythology surrounding original Yoga practice is extremely alchemical and Shamanic. Soma was real, and it was THE core element of Yoga... We have lost this respect of nature and psychedelic entheogens. Keep doing your asanas thinking you'll experience God... Soma isn't in your head, it's a psychotropic substance you consume in order to experience this union of Nature & Consciousness.

West want to de-link yoga from hindusm. Western ego is so big that it don't want to acknowledge hinduism. They also hv preconceive idea about hinduism and india.
