you make it hard to be civil but to be fair, destroying a great show, the best show ever made into the worst is RTD's fault to not be civil. AWFUL review, awful season, awful scripts only Dot and Bubble and Rogue maybe. Bloody brilliant? No, no and no.

@@charlesmento5968 I'd hardly consider it his fault for "destroying" the show. There's definitely been a decline since 2010 but I'd say that's been a real group effort.

I’m just sick of Doctor Who’s mishandling. It truly ended with The Doctor Falls. A true end in my eyes, not even Twice upon a time. I’m happy to truly end it there

Exactly correct. They had already started "wokeifying" him but he was still recognizably The Doctor. Since that the west has gone fully insane. What is a woman? It's now a suit of clothes a wig, some lipstick and a demand to share space with actual women and young girls. Now the only thing we know about the doctor is he/she is NOT a Gallifreyan and, as Gallifreyans are Time Lords, he/she is not a Time Lord either. Just a regenerating time machine thief.

I honestly think RTD missed a trick by subverting expectations with the finale. I personally loved RTD's tried and tested methods of planting seeds throughout episodes which aren't really acknowledged at the time but come together at the end. It makes me feel like its been thought out and is one of the reasons I loved 10th Doctor's era. I genuinely liked a lot of The 15th Doctors season... except The Empire of Death. It felt like it was being woven together and it was going to be some huge amazing cataclysmic thing... and then it just deus ex'd it with a memory tardis, ruby is actually ordinary and her mum named her by pointing at a sign (lol what????), and a dog leash. It was honestly stupid. I feel like it was just an insult to the audience and he was sniffing his own farts thinking 'ahhhh see you expected something mysterious and clever but actually she's just ordinary so its about EXPECTATIONS'. Bro stop acting pretentious and just write a good story again

He can't do endings properly. He said so in his book. But worse than that, he doesn't think that a cobbled together unsatisfactory ending is a problem. A good ending on a mediocre story can redeem it, a bad ending on any story ruins it.

Regarding sutekh killing every world the doctor has visited, you can see a theme common with it's sin, Rtd's show on the AIDS epidemic : "the sex I love is killing me". Remember that RTD is a queer man that had to live threw the trauma of burying friends to this, and survivor's guilt is very present in his writing. The positive being that the Doctor wins because of queer joy

You might be able to justify the Doctor's constant boo-hooing, but it's simply not appealing to many viewers, including me.

When I was growing up, there was a child actor who appeared in several films and cried in each. He was famous for it. I remember people saying "Ugh, he's in it, so it'll be all crying again."

correct me if i'm wrong. but didn't Tennant marry RTDs daughter? and that was the Jenny who was the Dr's daughter.? If so maybe that caused RTD tramua and his writing went wonky :)
@TheObsessedWhovian95Күн бұрын
No, Tennant married Peter Davison's daughter. Davison played Dr no. 5. With RTD, I believe the wonky writing was down to him trying something different. Unfortunately, not everything landed like the first time round.

This show is just embarrassing now, watching it costs too much cope and there are piles of better things to watch instead, including the classic series.
