The Clive Cussler book "Atlantis Found" (1999) starts with an asteroid impact into Hudson Bay 9000 years ago causing the crust to shift. It also puts Atlantis in Antarctica. I firmly believe the capitol of "Atlantis" was the Azores, but far flung empire outposts in a warmer Antarctic coast isn't out of the realm of possibilities.

Oh man, forgot about it being tonight. Continued last weeks lesson about the Watchers/sons of God/elohim and the Nephilim/Rephaim/Anakim in church again today. Next week, will get to when Christ went to the mount of Transfiguration and was revealed in glorified form, He was actually on Mt Hermon, on their home turf, showing His power in their face. Like Gandalf the White revealing himself to Theodin/Sauraman. And Jesus noted how when demons are cast out, they go to the desert, since theyre are the dead Nephilim killed in the Flood. Book of Jasher indicates Canaan went to the top of Mt Hermon post-Flood, found tablets by the Watchers, restarted their genetic experiments, and recreated the Nephilim. Other scholars not the "when" in Genesis 6 can be translated "whenever", which seems to indicate this event happened more than once. Not too sure which one I'd come down on. Dr. Michael Heiser, Dr. Ken Johnson, and a few others have some good info and research done in this field.

@@cosmictreason2242no, you're correct. Sorry, I was getting my 2 year old out of the shower and my 5 year old in at the same time I was typing (hot water was starting to run out). Can't multitask like I used to. Was trying to say when Jesus talked about demons being cast out, they go to the desert, they find 7 others worse than themselves, they go back to find the "house" swept and in good order (Matt 12:43-45). The fact that they wander through the desert makes sense; if they were killed in the Flood, it seems appropriate they would avoid water, and thus go through the arid places/desert.

For Adam Crigler. If you like Heinlein's writing, do "Stranger in a Strange Land" or "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" next. Both are damn good, Moon is my favorite, but tons of good stories there. "The Past Through Tomorrow" is an anthology of original stories (The Man That Sold the Moon kicks off the moon stories). If you can get past "Requiem" without your eyes leaking, good luck. "Time Enough for Love" is a great read, but you want to get a few stories in before delving into Lazarus' life story. Also, that book starts out stating there have been so many thousands of words removed, but that is part of the story so don't think you have a censored version waste your time searching for the uncensored, it is how it is written.

It should be understood that there are two arks mentioned in the Bible. 'Ark' means basically 'container'. One was the one that Noah built to save land animals during a world wide flood. The other was a box that the Israelites built, covered in gold, that had a representation of the Mercy Seat as the lid of the box with statues of two Cherubim overshadowing it, in which were the ten commandments on stone and Aaron's rod. This box was used for drama in Raiders Of The Lost Ark. The Ark in Ethiopia is patterned after the box, not the boat, and has nothing to do with the flood.

@14:55 The Micro-nova is both a flare event and an impactor risk event, because the impactors themselves come from the Sun's surface ejecting outward after crusting and darkening prior to the nova. This is why the cyclical uptick in impactors makes sense historically where otherwise it wouldn't because asteroids don't work that way.

As far as the flood goes, the Bible mentions the water above the waters. I’m curious why no one seems to wonder what that could mean, especially since so many people agree on the asteroid theory. How thick a layer was it and did an asteroid destroy it which caused a flood?

If it was atmospheric, the amount of water would increase the pressure on the surface just as it would if you were underwater. So 10' of rainfall in vapor form would be like being at the bottom of a swimming pool as far as pressure. No way miles of water is held that way. Besides that it would also obscure the sun. If it was orbital, then it would need to be slowed to fall out and it wouldn't happen at once. Again, it would block out the sun like being on the bottom of the ocean. No mechanism exists to make water fall out of orbit. It wouldn't come down like rain either since rain requires condensation nuclei and nothing is creating dust that can escape the atmosphere into orbit and condense the water vapor. The best interpretation of the waters above is by Russell Humphreys, a phd who predicted the magnetic fields of Neptune and Uranus before voyager measured them, 10,000x more accurately than secularists, using his Biblical model. He posits that the waters of Creation were literally water centered around the earth and thus the waters above are what was used to create the rest of the cosmos. The expanse contains both the atmosphere and outer space because from the point of view of the solid earth, it's all "not-earth." Reading Genesis 1 with this lens makes it all make sense. He points out that the psalms imply the waters above are still there. If a sheet of water stretches around the entire visible universe then thermal radiation from this can explain the CMBR and also causes the universe to be galactocentric. During the expansion phase, he initially posited (has since moved away from this but i haven't seen any new theory from him) that the stretching of space placed earth inside an event horizon and froze it in time while the rest of the cosmos was created outward at light speed as the stretching and event horizon followed it, receding from the outside edge of the universe at light speed so that from the perspective of earth, all the stars popped into existence in a second on day 4 without any time passing on earth, but the light from Andromeda has been traveling for 2.5 million years of Andromeda-local time. This works in general relativity. The major challenge to this mechanism is offered by Danny Faulkner phd, currently with AiG, who points out that colliding galaxies clearly needed millions of years to collide, and so whereas in Humphrey's original proposal, we see everything in the universe, at every distance, 6000 years after the creation, but faulkner suggests that seeking mechanical explanations ultimately needs to stop at some point and let the miraculous be acknowledged. He thinks m everything in outwr space was created in an instant on day 4 too but ["magically"] sped up, and points to the fact that this would have had been necessary for the trees on earth after all, so such a process is already assumed by the scripture. Nevertheless i think the waters above are the outer cosmos including the moon and planets, whether or not there's an ice wall (lol) surrounding the universe, and are not the formerly popular idea of a vapor canopy that has fallen out of favor. The text only says that Eden was watered by springs and it had not rained yet on day 6. It doesn't say it never rained before the flood, and as long as there was any dust in the atmosphere, even pollen, there would've been condensation nuclei for rain and thus clouds and rainfall

Those Grand Tour rock formations mostly resemble sedimentary rock which were one time joined together up to the level of the mountain tops [note they are at the same height] and then when the sediments while still soft a large amount of water washed through and cut channels and large open spaces, similar to the erosion caused by much water cutting out the Grand Canyon. These formations, found in many places in the world, are not the result of a little bit of water over vast amounts of time carving them out; it's a large amount of water over a short period of time that did it. Just look at those mesas in southwestern America - widely separated but all having the same clifftop height. Clearly they were all one connected sedimentary plain once upon a time until a lot of water washed them out.

Randall have talked about a hypothesis of his that when the comet Encke entered close Sun orbit and broke up to become the Taurids, some of the biggest chunks fell into the sun and might have caused giant solar flares. This is due to new discovers from solar watching sattelites that show that when things fall into the sun it causes solar flares. Dont remember what episode it was but then he went on with his double whammie analogy that when Encke broke up some of it caused massive solar flares and som of the smaller chunks fell to earth and caused a double whammie. Mighty electrical storms at one point and then the broom stars hit. The Trinity glass/Trinitite found in the black mat layer could very well be caused by mighty electrical storms hitting grond and melt the sand and rubble within the soil to cause Trinitite to form. And there are this big chunk of Trinitite in the northern Saharan desert that the ancient Egyptians mined for jewelry. Also something they talket about on Kosmographia. Sorry but I dont remember any of the episodes where this is talked about. Great thanks

I think a way to connect all this atlantis/pre-civilisation/sun flare stuff is that there was a sea faring civilisation waaaaaaaay back when. They survived a solar flare and after the event finished they realised a huge amount of life on earth was wiped out on the surface. They decided to take it upon themselves to go fourth with their knowledge and teach other survivors on land who'd lost their civilisations about how to protect themselves from the next disaster (meteor strike) and in doing so left these cultures with stories of giant men from a secret city in the sea who came with the gift of knowledge and tought them things they needed to progress. They built pyramids and monnuments to their future demise (snake mounds, meteor imagery and other art is found everywhere because of this) and once the meteor hits, we get the inspiration for our modern flood and judgement day stories along with those stories like of noah who use their knowledge to save a chunk of civilisation. Whether chinese whispers muddied the tellings of this over time and splintered off into other religions and tales or not is up to you to decide. But it definitely would fit...

Why does no one and I mean no one speak about the subterranean chambers that burst forth and spread water around the planet. Also if we had a sheet of ice in the upper atmosphere that shielded the world from suns rays and it was bursted by these water spouts with a flare or asteroid that it would cause a meting effect that would cover he earth in water until the subterranean chambers filled back up with water.

Were there giants? I dont know. Is it possible there were giants? I believe so. The possibility shouldnt be dismissed. We know there were giant versions of animals that still exist today - sloths, bears, lions, etc. It makes sense that there could have been a giant version of human as well. Then again, maybe we _are_ the giant version of human. Maybe we are at the top end of the spectrum of how big humans can get.

No cause look at the small versions. If you know how size genes work in populations it's totally probable that it was just a rare phenotype like pygmies and died off the normal way, inbreeding, lack of production of posterity, and ostracism/violence

But the biggest you can reasonably get is 12-15' with 9-11 being most likely

There's an awful lot of "I think" "I think" in the comments, as if opinion adds up to proof of fact.

Wow, I was so hoping this show would be worthwhile but I just think they’re using us for clicks and $ now … most of these episodes are them talking about movies or themselves - or referencing The Why Files. They don’t ever have anything new to add which makes this whole thing click bait.👎🏻
