My wife & I came to Israel in 2005 & 2006 on a christian tour, we loved every minute of it! We even got to go shopping in Bethlehem at a biblical gift shop which was surrounded by hostile neighbors. Thanks guys for your great work. Just subscribed. I lived in Israel for 2 years in the mid 1980s. One Shabbat (Sabbath) I visited a small Israeli settlement called Susiya (about 100 families) in the southern edge of Judea. I had been hearing that Israel was constantly building right next to and on top of Arab villages. There was a chain link security fence around the settlement. From any point in Susiya all you could see was empty rolling desert hills. In only one direction there was a small Arab village several hilltops (and several miles) away. So much for building on top of them. On a subsequent 2 month visit in 1997 we kept on seeing on the international news especially the BBC and American news outlets that there was constant protest in East Jerusalem over Israeli building. We were staying in Jerusalem and went to the Old City and into East Jerusalem once or twice a week and never saw or heard the sounds of construction. We finally figured out that they were talking about enlarging an existing suburb of Jerusalem, Gilo on the southern outskirts between the city and Bethlehem, no where near the Old City or East Jerusalem. Amazing and disheartening to see the disingenuousness first hand.

I can see the security fence from my living room, and, on one hand, I'm happy because it is a game changer that protects my family from the "zombies" that just want to murder.
