ABS, ASA,... are supported. They are just not recommended as you need a enclosure + the AMS lite that also is not enclosed. There are hardened steel hotends for the A1, they even come included with the Mega bundle. The focus of the A1 mini seems to be more plug&play and the not recommended filaments need some more attention like a active filament dryer. With the X1C there is an option to use the heated bed inside to dry the filament.

Now that the 🐈 is out. The intentions of BL are clear 🤑. The target market is click happy newbies to 3d printing, who don't hesitate, to part ways with their money, in return for colorful blings. There is some innovation, but primarily to cut down cost and to gain user acceptance with the given form factor. The active noise canceling(surely, it would drastically alter performance as a compromise) and real time flow rate compensation(due to fluctuating hotend temps of an unpredictable ambient environment) are due to the same. The fancy touch screen is just for the appeal. The camera is cool, as predicted, got a hd wideangle tilt view for ai functions. The market place also happened as predicted. Now since the camera can view much more than a P1P😊, so the namesake cover!. Cloud is a must to function, and camera needs to be uncovered for essential functions!. Not sure if this is a right move. Basically, they leveraged the AMS to make more money in material sales. But having no control on refuse material, and allowing any filament on a open printer is asking for trouble(choking hazard, respiratory hazard etc.). So, the modus operandi for BL has pivoted from innovation to making more profits. Typically what happens with companies once, as innovation slows down, payroll increases, competition catches up. Not sure how the future will be redeemed going forward. Hope the fanatical BL fanbase, are not left with a paper weight, the size of a rock, named Wilson, sitting on their desks, smiling at them! Same business model as inkjet printers market. BL wants to sell filament to customers. Their makerworld is functional to sell filament, the online slicing service will route customers to use their filaments.

@@V3Precision Yes, they will do, but for most users will be simpler to buy the filaments suggested (or approved) by Bambu Labs for their printers. Personally I thinks that Bambu Labs business model reference is the inkjet printer market. Most of inkjet printer's manufacturers profit is from ink sales rather than the selling printers (margin is pratically 0 on the printer). For 3D printer market could be the filaments, "nozzles" (extruding block), accessories, ... and % on 3rd companies' produts sold on manufactures online "ecosystem".

Agree with comments below. Too much poop. Also, to big a foot print with poop receptacle. The AMS support stand really looks flimsy. The whole design looks like it would in early stages. Would be much better fully integrated like X1 and P1S. The poop issue is a killer for me. Why can't they make a 4 nozzle print head with all the great engineers they have. Finally, a bed slinger? I think at one time they advertised no more bed slingers. BL has so much going with the great features in its products, but this one really needs to be re-thought. Not for me.
