Just to clarify you can order a S1000XR with M package with low chassis and low seat on the configurator but you have to enter the options in the M package no cost options not later on just double checked and you can hope that helps your sales Ash

I rode this bike at Lind a few weeks ago. Great staff there. Bike was great but i felt like the seat was tipping me forward into the tank. I've not ridden the old one. It's a very energetic bike wants to be reved.

I just picked up one of these, Gravity Blue TE and the heel hitting the center stand is a thing. Mine is not lowered. But the bike is such an awesome machine that it is soon forgotten. Awesome bike!

Ordered mine a month 1/2 ago, getting it tomorrow ! M package + all other packages & options. Road test vs. GS1300 and Tracer 9 GT: the best for my needs and taste (as well as the wife and kids) was the XR ❤

Got it yesterday night! Of course it was raining, so was not 100% confortable with brand new tires under the rain 😂 150km since then, it’s all I hoped for now ❤

Yes great bikes test rode it ordered it but I see you are running a high seat on a low chassis model which you can’t order on the configurator ( right hand bike) ? I’ve just ordered one and will have to buy another seat to get a high one ? Ash

I tested the BMW M1000XR yesterday awesome bike.. But i am 5-9 i would like to lower it 2 inches or more do you know lowering options on this model ?

You can get the low suspension with the m pack

How tall are you guys, that would be a useful fact. I'm 5'8"(174cm) and can't seem to decide on whether going for the regular or the the low version... I'm just afraid the low version will scrape the pegs in corners too early. I was on the balls of my feet on the 2022 model with the old regular M sport seat. Thanks for your answer.

There's no point in getting the m package because you'll never exhaust the 170Bhp on track or road for mere mortals. Unless you have more money than sense.

I currently own a 2016 S1000XR and just traded it for a new 2024 S1000XR, which is being delivered Friday. I almost bought the M1000XR instead, but a few things changed my mind. The biggest one is that you can't get luggage for it. For me, that was a deal breaker. I constantly use my luggage. No center stand. It's just too much trouble to oil the chain without a center stand. Although the MXR has 205hp vs 170hp, the power isn't there until 14,000 rpm vs. 11,000 rpm.

Have bmw made it more grunty low in the revs as my 22 plate was gutless in the bottom end

it would be nice if not camshaft and gearbox that need replacement every 30-50k km (but its fun to watch all those paid clips)

The question is, is it worth 4.5k more than a slightly used 'older' XR TE Triple black 2023, 3k miles.. I have a back to back test ride booked for the older one and newer one.. I already know the price isn't worth it, but the seat does look a lot better..

Yes that’s always a difficult decision whether to buy new or nearly new you get the latest tech and full term warranty with new With used you save all the vat and duty and dealer mark up so it’s down to how the bike rides and is the latest tech important to you These two models are not a drastic change in spec let us know ?

@onaroad4505 The differences are seat, 5hp, colour change, and 3 year warranty. 2023 XR TE, 4-5k cheaper. 2 year warranty, not 3, -5hp. Exactly the same tech, so the 'older' model makes more sense, a custom seat can be made, a tune is highly advertised from the guys over in the UK XR page.

I've had a else made custom seat done on my gen 2. Totally transformed the ride!

@inked-96 yes I had a 12mm raise on the front of the seat to stop sliding towards the tank. Comfort gel inserts and retrim. His work is outstanding!

For some reason those ant headlights doesn’t appeal to me-looks too thin perhaps and angled too low… 👍

The vibration is terrible, don't buy one without riding it for two hours minimum. I had to sell my XR it crucified my hands.

@wl660 They keep saying it's fixed but in my opinion, it's not. As I said give it a good ride. 5 to 7000 seems to be where it's worst. Right in the sweet spot
