Those all used the IMA hybrid system, which was much simpler and less efficient and only helped the car get off the line. The current Honda e:HEV hybrid is a two clutch system. Very similar proportions and styling, vehicle weight, expected powertrain figures. I’d like to hope Honda can create a lively hybrid powertrain that can comply with 20 years worth of emissions and fuel economy regulations. I’m fine with the car losing top end torque. Sans the 11g Accord, the new Civic Hybrid seems very promising in terms of fun, too. More power and torque than the old L15CA, and a great chassis to begin with. Honda knows how to make their cars fun to drive in general, I reckon. I wouldn't be afraid of the Prelude not being fun. The 11g Accord Hybrid I heard handles well in the corners, it's just the lack of power that made it more of a miss than a hit.

If I want a prelude I'll buy one that exists already, but thanks.
