This is a great message and true. I’ve seen (and come under, sadly) 2 extremes in churches. One is a miracles, signs, and wonders focus on God and feeling God is near and the heck with your neighbor. The other extreme nearly killed me. It was serving your neighbor and teaching and baptizing and being hospitable in an extreme way. Meanwhile my own lawn needed mowed, laundry done, etc. My body finally gave out from exhaustion and I went through a season of serious illness. God loves us and we are to love Him and others. Yet this is to be from a place of peace and rest coming from walking with Christ. The past nine years of my life have been amazing once I began walking this way rather than either extreme.

Both covanents always operated within this promise. Genesis 8:21-22 "Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood". He also says, "And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done". Finally, God promises that "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, will never cease".

Grateful your kindness and love to humanity with the hard work you have put into this presentation. Obviously the hypocrisy of all churches without exception is highlighted by the facts you present. Christianity in essence has nothing to do with the bible but everything to do with the Christ. His repurchase of us thru his sacrifice now allows us to walk again with God as Adam did. I think before we can touch this subject we need to really break down what it means to "love" from a scriptural perspective. Like does it mean to have gooey feelings? Does it mean to BE empathetic? Or do you also need to FEEL the empathy? Someone can act on what they THINK is right but not necessarily have an emotional response to something (mind vs. heart) type of deal. What does it mean to love. also, "your works are like dirty rags" bit cracked me up LOL

@@ShadeStoneMusic for the record I think you did a great job with this video and really nailed it. Love is certainly something that the modern "church" has a big problem with. I myself being guilty of it. In my area, gun ownership is a big deal even amongst Christians. But I always argue that we as Christians are supposed to give a testimony of peace and love and mercy and not meet adversity the same way the world does. If the worlds response to evil is to involve weapons, we should be doing the opposite and meeting it with compassion, love, mercy, and faith in Jesus to deliver us from it. I look back to the example Jesus left us when he restored the ear of the sentry after Peter had hacked it off. Unfortunately, people often look at me as if I have 3 heads or "unamerican" for even suggesting such a position.

Shade, this is where the rubber meets the road, thank-you for this discussion. I agree with you 80% though. I differ in that the Samaritans were in fact of Israel though they were off on doctrine. They were not gentiles. So our brothers are our fellow believers though we disagree with them about some things. And that is why the world should know us by our love for one another. If we as Christians could love each other with agape that would be a marvelous testimony to the world indeed. Unfortunately when Christians are not real disciples of Christ, the abounding sin in the church makes hearts turn cold.

@YeshuaReigns22 ай бұрын
Excellent! This type of love, agape, trancends emotions and feelings. It's more of an action as I see it. We're called to love our enemies. To love the unlovely among us. The good Samaritan did not know the man he was helping. But his works were works of that higher love we are talking about. When we love like that, God is there. The problem with mainstream christian religion is that it contains the spirit of the old covenant mindset. The churches may not have sacrificial rituals, but they made up their own rituals & creeds & while they claim that works do not save, they have creedal works that they say you can't be saved unless you do those works. So, who are they kidding? Very easy...themselves! They stab themselves with their own sharp tongues. How ironic! But love is the ingredient missing from the mega boxes. And also these fringe groups like the white Israel movement that pretty much teaches that God's message is only for the Caucasian descendants of Jacob/Israel. God only loves them. Nobody else. So, organized christianity in whatever stripe are all to a greater or lesser degree entangled in an old covenant mindset. So, the controversy started in the 1st century on the old vs. the new covenant continues especially starting in the last 100 or 200 years. The restoration of the true teaching that you are promoting shines a bright light on the shortcomings of orthodoxy & their illegimate offspring. And that's probably the reason that you've personally experienced the pushback you've intimated. And the beat goes on brother. Be blessed man!

I have disagreed with many of your videos, but this one is easy to agree with. People argue on these KZbin videos over their faith, but at the same time don’t demonstrate what it means to be a Christian. This to me is the same of taking the name of God in vain.. maybe not the way the Ten Commandments meant it, but to call yourself Christian and misrepresent Christ is an offense to God, imo. As the video went on I got a lot more out of it to answer my question. I don't mind anything else you may add to making the tie even tighter.
@ShadeStoneMusic2 ай бұрын
Great Question. So here are some thoughts for You to consider...First note that Romans 10:9 is the 'fulfillment' of the Deuteronomy 30 prophecies that he lists in Romans 10:5-8. I don't think most people catch that Paul is referencing a fulfillment of Scripture...The intent (in my opinion) was not to create an 'alter call' out of that verse. The following verses appear to support Paul's position that there is no difference between Jew & Greek which then quickly leads to Paul saying that 'the word of God' went unto the 'ends of the world' in fulfillment of Psalm 19. So I would reiterate, Romans 10:9 does not appear to be something that Paul intended to be an 'alter call for salvation' in a Sunday building. I think this had much more to do with Paul communicating that Jesus was indeed the Christ and the Mediator of the New Covenant.
@jimingvaldson70762 ай бұрын
@@ShadeStoneMusic Good good points. Thanks. Colossians 1;23 Paul states that the gospel had already been preached to every creature under heaven. Those two commandments aren’t new. They are found in the Torah and they are the greatest commandments and actually are what all the commandments hang on. They are not new commandments. They do not replace the commandments either. 1 John 3:4 sin is transgression of the law!
@ShadeStoneMusic2 ай бұрын
Thank You for sharing. I appreciate Your point of view...That said... In John 13:34, Jesus says: A new commandment I give you: Love one another, just as I have loved you So I agree that they always had that law...but they didn't do that law the 'way' Jesus did that law...they didn't lead with that law; so I simply can't see how the law of Moses in totality will fit into this unless the instruction, or the heart of the matter fits into 'love others as self'.

I live my week loving my neighbor, I go to a party and one guy gets under my skin and I react. My love neighbor stopped for a moment. Did the apostle Paul say. It is no longer I that sin, but sin that indwells me. My sin was not coming from my heart of God. It came from indwelling.
@ShadeStoneMusicАй бұрын
We wrestle with the ego my Brother! I think that's what Paul means by 'operating in the flesh'...or that 'sin that dwells' in us...So I would agree that even though God is in our hearts, we also have an enemy that lingers in 'our flesh'...'our ego'. Fast food evangelism does not work. I led both my kids to Jesus Christ and they learn day by day how to be like Christ. You cannot just walk down an aiske, say a orayer, and not cultivate your faith or grow in Jesus Christ. The sinner's prayer is a start, but it's not the finish line. Faith growing in love is like a fine wine. It takes years. Hard work. I think this is where the Evangelicals miss it. The Assemblies of God does a better job. I know they got issues but our family goes to AG Church because the one we go to actually operates in love!!! You walk in the door and you just feel it right away. I've been un many churches and this is one of the better ones. Why? They don't do fast food faith! My church has a deliverance ministry, reaching out to human trafficking victims, the homeless, food shelf options, clothing drives, and more. They put an emphasis in the children and the youth and the entire family unit. More. I drive onto the property, and I feel like I just entered Heaven. This is a church in more rural Minnesota. They do teach without love, your faith is needing an evaluation. My church does not do fast food evangelism. They meet sometimes physical needs before the spiritual Salvation message depending on the person. Yes, my Church hilds to the Creeds and more, but the leadership always says without love, it means nothing. Hopefully more churches will begin to follow this model.

If you don't like it, apply to work one shift a week to fix it. We have a shortage employment problem in the nation in the service industry. The other issue is that kids just up and quit. Could this be a parenting issue? Be nice to all servers. If the wait on drive thru is 20 minutes, its because two people did not show up for work. Stop blaming the poor employees and manager who are working extra hard doing their best. I've had guests make me cry!!! How much do you want to bet they were church goers? Yes it's always the lowest wage workers that get the complaints. The ones at the top are always sheltered and don't want to pay a decent wage or give good working conditions. And it's often churchgoers who support those very people sitting at the top

There’s no new law brother Jesus doctrine is not his own it’s his Father and he teaches all of the commandments of the law .. look up the word NEW in the Greek and Hebrew it doesn’t mean a new Law 🙂 A prophet can not make his own laws up or he would be a false prophet. Jesus is the Son of God and a prophet so he is commanded to teach the hole law and not add or take away so if he made up new laws or took away from the law we would not listen to him brother 🙂 YA bless brother good channel

Thank You for the encouragement and sharing. I will look up the word as You recommended. Just for my own clarity...to You mean that essentially the 'love God and others as self' was really always the law? Again...just for clarity. Thanks in advance!

❤ does smoking 🚬 make me unholy?
@ShadeStoneMusicАй бұрын
I do not see any Scriptures that say 'smoking' is a sin. So no, it does not make you unholy. Matthew 15:11 says: 'it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” By the time we get to verse 19 Jesus says these defile a person: evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornications, theft, false witness, slander. Some say smoking cigarettes is unhealthy...The same folks say that Doritos, Big Macs, Pop, Mayo etc...are unhealthy as well...I'll let you decide if that is true in the physical. But in the Spiritual setting, they mean nothing.
