Otis, it's a little bit harder because the OT video spans hundred of years through many generations. Most of the data points on the timeline are people's lifetimes. The NT video basically spans 50 years and only one or two generations. It would basically look like Jesus -> Apostles -> All The World.

Thanks for the overview: I'm a little confused Mathew 15:24 then Jesus replied, "I have been sent only to the lost sheep of the people of Israel. If jesus himself saying that he came only for jewish people. How can a consul of mere humans decides to change his words. if it's word of God why this contradiction? If John is claiming Jesus as the god of Israel the same God who sent the other prophets before Jesus then how do we konw that it wasn't the same god every time coming in human form as prophet? what is the significance of coming to earth at that specific time in history? Is there any witness to Paul's visions of Jesus encounter? Despite these questions i think you did a great job

The bible is a collection of many people's tales/witnesses of events and there are excluded books (the apocrypha) that tell other tales, some contradicting the events told in the bible, which makes sense because people will tell stories how they perceived them and no technology meant that it took a guy to witness something alone and tell it for no one to fully confirm or deny it ever happened. But I think we can all agree that: - Old testament is about God's relationship with people and keeping them on his path. - New testament is about a messenger trying to bring evervone together under God regardless of race/colour/creed through his actions.

There is not. The OT timeline covered centuries and the PDF only indicated roughly when people lived, and books were written. Pretty much the entire NT occured in one generation, so an attempt at a timeline PDF would be very different. It would basically look like this: Jesus - Apostles - Revelation

Thank you for this quick overview of the Bible I'm an atheist but i try to study religion and why cultures developed their respective religions and how they came to be in the end no one really knows if god is real or not since there's not enough proof in any religion i can think of i personaly believe that religion was a combination of various ideas of physics and no explanations for a lot of natural things also people lived in fear so they needed an idea to protect them and make them feel safe but i respect everyone's religion but i can't pick one until i get some sign or proof

actually I change my mind. On a second view, he did make it quite good. I would have like a little more details on acts of apostles, since there were many significant events such as Paul blinding a false prophet, he gets bitten by a snake and doesn't die. A little facts from outside the Bible describing the time and circumstances under which the books were written but even then it is a good video.

Sort've. The first 4 books (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) are individual accounts of Jesus' life an ministry, the next book (Acts) is an account of the history of the early church. The next 13 books are really just letters that Paul wrote to various people and churches. The book of Hebrews - we don't actually know the author. Then James, 1&2 Peter, 1,2,3John, & Jude were written by them correspondingly, and Last of all Revelation was written by John. I get it, it's a little all over the place. In one sense it's not really a book, it's a collection of documents formed into a book. But in another sense, it is a book because it was uniquely formed and designed to tell us all we need to know God.

Jesus Christ Resurrected and was on earth for 40 days after Resurrection. Then in 40th day Jesus Ascended into heaven and sent His HolySpirit on the 50th day(Day of Pentecost). His HolySpirit is with us forever. He will come back to earth to rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and Priest of Priest forever on Earth. When He will come He will judge all , Jews first and then the Gentiles. He will burn the chaff with fire as John the Baptist said. He will baptise the world with fire like once He baptised the world with water in the days of Noah. He is waiting patiently for world to repent . He has given time for world to repent. He has delayed or postponed the firy judgement by staying away from earth. If He stays on earth then He has to judge. He is patiently waiting for world to repent.

Jesus claims Himself to be a full equal to God when He calls Himself the “I AM” and the NT letters tell us He is the creator of all things and was here before anything was ever made. But He is also the Son of God so its a great mystery. All we can do is pray to God for understanding and read our Bible. God bless

@@jominksimon9296 Kinda… Yahweh in Hebrew means I Am Who I am. When the Old Testament was translated into Greek (Septuagint) they chose the word Kurios to represent Yahweh. Kurios translates to Lord (or in other contexts “sir”) in English. English translations often try to distinguish the meanings through capitalization (Lord vs LORD) but that can be confusing to folks until they get a bit of the history. In a recent translation (so I hear) John MacAurther is issuing a version of the NASB replacing LORD with Yahweh in the Old Testament citations (there are many OT quotes found in the NT) Seems like that could be a helpful tool, though since the NT primarily quotes from the Septuagint rather than the Hebrew I have to admit, I’m conflicted about this change. 😁

The new testament was mostly written by someone name Paul it was written far after the time of Jesus. Paul was Someone who literally said I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service Corinthians 11:8 . and also said, To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law 1 Corinthians 9:20. So ya make sure that you don't follow the new testament as its for sure not a book from God. Only the Quran is trust me.

Jesus is a God, because he is the only begotten son of YHWH. Neither Jesus nor any of his followers said anything about this man made invention called the Trinity which was formulated over 3 centuries after the resurrection of our savior & future King of Heaven Jesus Christ by the Catholic Church, which by the 3rd century was tied to political leadership, much as the same way the Pharisees did with the same Roman Empire only centuries before. Jesus made it beyond clear, that God is Greater than all. John 14:28 (New American Standard Bible, the most accurate English version, to the original language, without try to twist stuff to fit this Trinity invention by the corrupt Catholic Church (don't tell me that Priests only started doing inappropriate things to choir boys in the 20th Century), all you have to do is look at pictures of the artifacts in the secret vault in the base of the Vatican. 300 years after the resurrection of Jesus, Peter, Paul, Luke, Matthew & John were all distant memories. To put it into modern perspective: The time gap (325 years) from Jesus's resurrection until the invention of the Trinity, would be the same as the birth of the famous composer Wagner until the present day, and look at how much information has been hidden, disguised & rearranged since then, and we have infinitely better record keeping & information collection now. Now imagine from the time of Jesus's resurrection until 325 AD, and all the lies & corruption you could get away with. Absolute power, corrupts absolutely. Just imagine if you went back, and were able to add up the totality of sins of the Catholic Church, and then ask yourself, is that an entity that could be trusted to give a 100% truthful & accurate representation of Jesus, and the intention of his words. Call me old fashion, but I trust Jesus's original words & his teachings, and he nor any of his disciples, or any of the biblical apostles ever taught it, and humans love to bathe in their sins & lies, it's too easy to lie when you can get away with. Call me naive, but Jesus would never left anything so important up to interpretation & conjecture & church corruption, especially after seeing first hand the Pharisees, who while in bed with Rome, did all those things to Jesus & his disciples. Also Jesus cannot be God, because of the simple fact that God is perfect, and would never have to do anything to prove anything to anyone, if God had to become Jesus & come down from Heaven. Trust the apostles & Jesus and his disciples? Or trust the Catholic Church over 300 years after Jesus died? I am going with the first option.

It's not surprising that the Christian faith caught on with all the magic and drama in the story.
