@@mijiah Okay, Karen, because you clearly have a stick up your a** And you think all relationships are sunshine and rainbows? That's not the case. Every relationship is toxic in some way and Tessa wasn't exactly innocent. She cheated not only on Noah but also unhearted too. She used Zed and made the poor guy think she liked him when in reality she was just using him to get back at Hardin and she also be friends every single guy and she doesn't realize that they're into her. She got mad at him when he expected her to move with him to London. But she's a hypocrite because she literally did the same thing when she wanted him to move to Chicago with her so she got mad at him for doing that. But then when she does it, it's perfectly fine.

I was a teenager and obsessed with fanfics and every single one of them was EXACTLY like this. I was clueless and had no idea how wrong and abusive these stories were. Now looking back as an adult I'm truly baffled about how many of us romanticized these relationships as teens. holy shit, memory unlocked!! That book was fuel for my 14 year edgy self going through an identity crisis & every other crisis. I thought it was the coldest, hardest shit ever. Looking back, that book was actually awful & could only be seen as good by edgy 14 yr olds. It should be called "Diary of a man who needs therapy". What was wrong with my younger self im cringing so bad now 😭 So glad i grew out of that mindset before i became a Hardin 🤮

When people are young, they do bad stuff and he was young. He wasn't exactly in the right state of mind. He was an alcoholic who was raped as a young child and saw his mother. Being beaten and raped, you can't expect someone that's like that to be perfectly fine in the right state of mind when he did all this stuff.

This movie was the only one in the After series that almost made me leave the cinema. When I went with my best friend we knew it would be bad, but realizing that the movie was mostly about Hardin and him not learning anything made me think of leaving my seat. The whole series is bad, but this movie was worse. It felt like it was made by some kids that think this is what every young adult's love life is.

@@evea.4358 Do you know almost every movie? And TV show was based on books and fan fictions and was written by women that were very young. The story is also to teach people that someone like harden who went through so much. Who went through rape and alcoholism and terrible childhood could always change. The books show way more. It shows that harden does change. The movie doesn't really show that that much. So maybe stop being so d*** judgmental.

I remember a summary of the books by another booktuber (paperbackdreams if anyone wants to check) and I don't exactly remember if this was a line she checked from the watpad story or the book. But in that version, Hardin proposes in a bathroom at a party and Tessa says "yeah, I guess so" which is so insane. And Hardin convinces her to think about it while they drive down to Las Vegas? To get married in Las Vegas. I genuinely hope Anna Todd never gets married, for her own sake, if this is what she thinks it's like
