You probably can guess, but the books/fanfic are so much worse 😭 in the book, the bet that Hardin made was to take Tessa's virginity and show the proof (condoms and the sheet) to his friends, and guess what? He does it. Even after saying he "loves" her, he has sex with her, he keeps the sheets with blood from her first time, shows it to his friends AND accepts money for it (because he won the bet). It was the most disturbing thing I have ever read. Of course Tessa forgives him, because he cries in front of her or whatever, and he keeps being an asshole in the other books, one time Hardin finds out Tessa kissed Zed (when they were not together), so he goes to Zed and beats the shit out of him, breaks his nose, causes damage to the university's laboratory (and gets away with it), he calls her a whore more than once, is always breaking stuff when they fight, in one scene she KNEELS in front of him to beg for his forgiviness (don't remember if that's only in the fanfiction and not in the book for obvious reasons, but it's there)...awful.

I remember watching the first one in theater with my friends on my birthday 😂 we laughed through the whole thing because it’s just so funny. I know it’s not trying to be and that makes it even funnier. When we were leaving I realized there had been two 12-13 year old girls sitting behind us and let me tell you if looks could kill we’d all be six feet under… I’ve watched every single one of these in theaters with my friend (yes I paid actual money to put myself through these) and at this point they’re starting to be more frustrating than funny. We almost cried when we realized there’d be one more film 😭 but we’re committed to this experience now so we’ll go see that one too. Pray for our sanity
