I’ve been looking for a 38mm watch in this exact style, with a beautiful red dial, but hadn’t found anything suitable at this price… until now. This looks like an almost perfect watch - I only have two issues: I wish the lug to lug was a little shorter (for my wrists) but maybe that will be solved when they add some curvature as you said. Also, the sides of the lugs don’t meet the bracelet - why?!. I don’t know why most watches in this style & sub $2000 have that gap - the king seiko spb287j1 is the worst example of this. The lugs taper down but instead of meeting the bracelet nicely they just stop and stick out with these ugly corners. It leads to a feeling that the watch isn’t as “coherent” as the all-time great designs (royal oak, 222, nautilus, prx, etc).
