While I do not know if Mr Adebayo was actually truthful or not, his story is absolutely plausible. Dealing with Nigerian bureaucracy can be tricky and frustrating. An emergency travel document, under normal conditions, should not take more than 24hrs. However, no Nigerian embassy or high commission can be considered normal, and it is absolutely possible (if not likely) that said document took 3 months instead 24hrs.

I was born on 12th March 1955 in Malaya then, now Malaysia. My great grandfather's generations were brought by the British Empire's employee from Southern India around 1800s for the benefits of the British Empire's, during the period when India was under British Raj. Now, in 2024 ..... generations of my great grandparents, grandparents, and my parents all died. Even my own siblings, some of them already died. I always admire the British Empire and the British people for their kindness & civilized manner in which they deal with many matters ( my father worked directly with the British Army Camp in Penang, Batu Uban Minden Barracks where BACS (British Army Children's School) was situated. I was told, since i was born in 1955, during British rule in then Malaya, that i could apply for British citizenship. Anyway, now my age has gone to a different stage. Apart from simple English taught in schools as one subject, i took the interest to learn the British accent from BBC for decades sitting in front of my radio in the middle of the nights. Very interesting. Hope i can visit UK legally before i depart from the earth. If God the Almighty gives another life on earth, i would wish to be born in a decent English family in UK. God Bless UK.

P.S.S. I’ll repeat here what I mentioned in a different thread… What really disturbs me is that they said an employer who gets caught employing any illegal employees will get charged £10,000 per employee… This TV show was filmed a very long time ago so they actually enforced such good laws back then. I guarantee that such laws aren’t enforced there anymore. Things have been so bad here in California for many decades that it is now to the point where our insane politicians passed a law in 2018 without our consent which, no joke, states that the gov will charge employers $10,000 *just for reporting* to the gov an illegal applicant, or reporting that they accidentally hired an illegal employee after being fooled by bad documents. They did this with the excuse that they were being defiant to Trump. It’s a joke what’s been going on.

31:55 The pregnant woman's story speaks about the dishonesty of the lady Sarah and about the lack of integrity among the documentary's producers and writers. They say 'the decision to question the woman in the first place came from the airlines' (referring to the 32 weeks policy). Then they say 'whether or not the pregnant woman will be on board will be up to the US embassy'. If the airline Sarah is training had an issue, they should've just said what their policy was and not let the pregnant woman board the flight. Instead she chose to call the US embassy, which had clearly provided a valid visa to the pregnant woman (even if unintentionally), and then Sarah pretends to be a nice person delivering the news of how the US embassy had issues with her flying and that she could sort them out by visiting them. The fact that the documentary makers are trying to portray a rather sinister act as just doing a routine job check speaks volumes about their own integrity. If she had stopped the woman because the airline she was training had a policy of no travelers beyond 32 weeks, Sarah would've been the employee of the day or month or year in my eyes.

@brendanaomi2043 жыл бұрын
Whether it came from the airline or not is kind of a non issue because the lady was trying to be sneaky. She knew all too well that there was no way they would allow her to travel if she told the embassy about her pregnancy and how far along she was. She knew they once she got to the US and it was time to return to Nigeria, no airline would take her because it will be risky. It was a plan like Sarah said. At times people at the embassy and the airlines can’t just assume that someone is pregnant if they do not reveal it. Depending on the people conducting the interview. For two years people assumed I was pregnant when I wasn’t simply because I gained a lot of weight at that time. So it is possible that they gave her the visa without knowing the risk or the plan.

@@legarla2524 It is kind of an issue for the embassy because the intention is to make the baby an American citizen. @Brad Carman Eh, it's a nice sentiment, but reality tends to be a bit harsher. Truth is, places like India, where I'm assuming this fellow is from, are basically never ending baby factories. 1.3 billion people and counting, and let's say... 10 percent would like to get the hell out of there. That's over a hundred million people. And you can bet it'll be almost a constant flow. It needs to be regulated to some extent, or you end up overwhelmed. And frankly, not everyone that comes over has good intentions, or is a decent person.
