Every time I watch this video, I feel like I'm in one of those Southern Baptist Black churches, where the preacher is in the final stages of his sermon and has the whole church in a groove, rocking and standing on their feet, as the preacher belts out every phrase, the members can't sit still any longer, and a bunch of the women, bursting with emotion, are taking off down the aisles, screaming and shouting.

An incredibly high quality live performance. No pitch correctors or backing tracks fed into their earpieces; this is the real deal. Almost no group can reach this standard today live. Philadelphia International Records which was Gamble & Huff produced a staggering number of hits. There is a Nederlands TV documentary on them, that is amazing. Few Americans know how great Gamble & Huff were, and how many groups they wrote songs and produced for, O'Jays probably being their best and most successful.

No lip syncing on this one on Soul Train performance out of all of The O'Jays performance I really felt this one WOW !!!! The legendary O'Jays have proven themselves time and time again that they are soul singer real soul singers and I can proudly say today the year 2021 that they still hold that title Philadelphia International records number one for soul music 🎼🎙🎶🎵🎷🎺🎻🥁

@@kimwilliams8802 👋👋👋👋 right back at you them R&B groups from the 50 60s and '70s were the real deal and some of those groups from back in the day had studio musicians when they were recording records they did not have the studio producers behind the controls of the board it was MFSB the studio musicians 4 Philadelphia international records and the funk Brothers full Motown records as musicians for most of the soul groups that we heard back in the day The O'Jays put out a record call I love music and so do I from its 1920 era till it's 2021 era of jazz and Blues folk bluegrass era music is definitely powerful because it controls the mind 🎼🎶🎵🎹🎺🥁🎻🎺🎷🎸

Every Soul Train performance is Lip Synced .. That's a known fact .. They've just been performing the song for so long they got every word down pat ... A lot of Soul Train performers look like they're performing live because of their passion

One of my favorites by The O'jays. When I was younger I swear I thought he was saying "Walk like a B*tch" but he's saying "Fish". 🤣🤣🤣 It just didn't register until I was older and didn't wanna believe Eddie was going that hard on a record. So I googled the lyrics. Whew! Now I can continue to listen with a less heavy 💙.
