That fish you missed at the beginning was a sturgeon! That spot on that island is an autospawn for sturgeons, and a lot of people (including myself) took advantage of it and wracked up loads of sturgeon in our pockets before leaving the island. I only kept 6, but I was still happy. Especially because you don’t even need to use bait at that spot

I somehow caught a Tuna fish, TWO Oarfishes, a Blue marlin, TWO ceolacanth, a Football fish, and a Sturgeon in the span of 3 days and all except the tuna fish were caught without bait and I wasn’t even trying to catch them.

wanna here a funny story one time i was choping tree then a wasp nest came down and i already got stung by the wasp once so i walked away form them or sped walked (by the way i did not know how to run so yah) the wasp got to me but then out of no were the screen turns black and i didn't faint so what happened was the game was made to were it changed to the next day and when the announcements were done all of my stings were gone and so were the wasp i was like "ok sooooooo that happened and then i kept on playing

No if your houses are maxed and full with villagers no more spawn on islands till after your first campsite moves in and you buy houses for 10k each.

How do people get all the iron and fancy fish so soon in the game? This is my first AC game and I have no clue how folks are progressing so quickly. I've got the pole vault, the museum, been to a couple mystery islands, but for some reason I haven't triggered Nook to start with the bridge and home building. It makes me feel kind of bad

here’s a good fish to start out with: from December to May, i recommend the Oarfish as it appears in sea with a large shadow size which is quite distinguishable. idk if it’s my luck but 20 minutes into the hunt i found one so ye
