I find it hilarious that Jim spend years pining after Pam, transferred branches because it hurt to be around her, gave up a corporate job, and a girlfriend for her, gave that wonderful speech to Dwight about her… and about 40 minutes into this dinner party he’s ready to abandon her with no regrets, that’s how awkward Michael and Jan are lol

Michael might have said some stuff about Pam, knowing how he is, but it might be simply because Jan is crazy and Angela kept confirming her craziness
@Grindstone3838 Жыл бұрын
Besides Jan just being toxic and jealous / paranoid, I wouldn't be surprised if she regularly belittles Michael and makes him feel worthless, tells him nobody else will love him, etc.. Michael then probably blurted something out about Pam, who is always nice to him, making up some BS to counter Jan's insults.
@jerodast Жыл бұрын
In Michael's mind "they almost kissed" once and she peeked at him changing (which I think Jan snipped at her about at the time), so a few vague references from Michael spinning something out of nothing is all it would take I'm sure.

My husband and I will randomly start singing the “that one night” song to make each other laugh. But yeah this one is both very cringy and very funny. Also pretty relatable- I’ve definitely been to some awkward dinner parties where I’d have been willing to make up a story about my apartment flooding to try and leave lol.

How high you rank this episode depends on why you like the show. If it's because you think it's funny, it'll be a good episode, not great. If you like the show because you're addicted to feeling like you wish you could rip your skin off your body and leave it there while your soul exists anywhere but that particular moment, it's easily one of the best

10:49 Doubtlessly, Michael told Jan that during a fight to make her jealous. And, it worked... Permanently. Take note ladies; We could tell Jan was the Crazy one there because even when Pam told Jan it was not true, even when Jan knew enough to figure out after talking to Pam that Michael had lied about it just to make her jealous, she _still_ would not be convinced it was not true.
