The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM is seriously that good. Say no more. We wholeheartedly recommend anyone to get this monitor should they want to experience what OLED has to offer for the PC side of things. Not to mention, the US$999 price tag is honestly just... the icing on the cake.

I have this monitor, and it is great. But you did not give a real review, more like an ad. Did you get paid for this? E.g. you literally said nothing about the bad text clarity etc

Have you felt that the brightness in a room with the lights on is limited when used in SDR mode with Uniformity mode set to ON compared to other brighter IPS panels ? Thank you for sharing your experience in this review.

I'm looking for the 1440P panel with the best possible image quality for games and using the browser on websites, Twitch, KZbin, etc. as the only monitor in my setup, is this the best I can find? I run away from ips because of its low contrast and va because of light bleeding and flickering with gsync. I have a 9700k with the RTX 4070 and 32 ram at 3200ghz

Hello, thanks for the video, I have gigabyte m27q and I would like to change it for the Asus pg27aqdm, my only fear is the brightness in games without HDR, do you know if the brightness is similar to the m27q without HDR? And is it better to activate or deactivate HDR in Windows 11? thank you!

I tried getting the 360hz IPS PG27AQN but after 4 tries and getting stuck/dead pixels on all of them I feel like I can't keep trying and might aswell get this monitor instead, sucks because I upgraded my whole PC just to reach 360Hz so a 240Hz panel will be semi wasted apart from smoother frame timings and better settings.

It has not yet been approved as G-Sync compatible, in fact on the Nvidia website the driver support still reports IN THE FUTURE and for this reason it has some problems that we hope will be resolved as soon as possible By the way I come from an Eizo 60 hz I have this monitor now and it is amazing, even with its "flaws" 🤩

Have you tried any of the nice QD-OLED gaming monitors? They’re more glossy and address the one big drawback of this monitor. They’re fairly bright with brightness up to 1000 nits.
@Terafied
@Terafied 11 ай бұрын
The Asus also has a brightness of a 1,000 nits like the other QD-OLEDs out there. And they are all similar in the regard that they can only hit 1,000 nits for a specific % of the display. The main reason to go with the other options out there is because of the glossy surface, which will translate to more vibrant color reproduction as opposed to matte. But well, pros and cons, since with glossy, it introduces a tad more reflections and stuff. Ultimately, it's a preference thing and we're also happy that there are more options nowadays in a similar price range, so that's a win-win situation.

I just returned an Alienware 27" 360Hz AW2725DF QD-OLED that was absolutely beautiful in everyway possible except I had immediate and long-last eye strain from using. I ordered this ASUS PG27AQDM with W-OLED technology and was okay with the matte screen (had them before and like it). I'm hoping this time, I won't have eye strain. I think some people overthink the glossy vs matte, but then that's preference.

Very good... but not quite good enough in my book. All the 2023 27" OLED monitors have issues from low screen brightness (even the ASUS isn't that bright in SDR) to the grainy anti-glare coating on the screen to the lack of HDMI 2.1 ports such as on the ASUS monitor, which considering how expensive it is really should have them. If I use HDMI on this monitor with my PC then I am capped at 120 Hz. Yes, the monitor has DisplayPort but what if your cable or the port develops a fault then you have no backup 240 Hz options? Really measly of ASUS to only ship with HDMI 2.0 in 2023 that cannot even reach the 240 Hz refresh the monitor claims to support! True, it does support 240 Hz but only from one of its three display connectors! The biggest issues I have with the monitors though is the text clarity which isn't ideal for desktop use. I know these are gaming monitors but they are also intended for PC use and that means using Windows. If text looks bad then it would annoy me as would the grainy coating the monitors use. As such I am happy to wait to see what 2024 brings as OLED monitors are only going to get better so the longer you wait then the better the monitor you will be able to choose from. I am currently using a 27" ASUS PG279Q that I've owned for 6 or 7 years now so if I am paying £800-£1,000 for a new monitor then I expect it to last me at least 5 years.

S95C shits all over this. For an extra 33% price I got a better panel thats double the size. I just sit 2 metres away. This asus is overpriced as shit, for god sake $2000 Aud for a 27 inch. Lol. Or $3000 for a 55' S95C thats better in every way. Easy choice
@ChazMcClure
@ChazMcClure 10 ай бұрын
You wont be getting a 240hz refresh rate, and 55 inches is a little too large for any time of competitive gaming (coming from a guy who has used a 55 inch tv as a main monitor before). Dont get me wrong, the S95C is great, but to those wanting a more conventional monitor, this is a great option, and 240hz is great for valorant and CSGO, which are the main games I play. The real issue with some of these (lesser so this model) is the brightness. Im using the LG Oled 27 inch rn, and lord its a little dim when the lights are on, but I love it when I turn off the lights.
