Muscle weighs more than fat. Clothes don't lie. Use them as a guide. If those pants keep falling down. You know you're losing.
@thisme19736 ай бұрын
Muscle and fat weighs the same. However, they don’t share the same material makeup.

@@thisme1973 what I am referring to is density of the two.
@Mannysosa2236 ай бұрын
Yeah the density is different and muscles hold water weight so the number on the scale shouldn’t matter as much as long as you’re doing what youre suppose to.

You're absolutely right about checking your weight everyday. I checking mines 4 times a day to measure my success. If I see it going up I can make a change at that time to progress towards my goals

Speaking on that cereal analogy, sometimes i think "what if i deprive myself from these foods i want, step on the scale and still dont see the number i want" 😂

I think people should do what works for them. Personally, I agree with this approach and am able to implement it successfully. It forces me to hold myself accountable, celebrate my wins, and make improvements. It also teaches me precisely how what I consume, how much I sleep, and how intermittent fasting impacts my weight.
@BrixFitness6 ай бұрын
Absolutely! finding what works for you personally is crucial in any health journey. It sounds like you've developed a strong sense of self-awareness and accountability through your approach, which are key elements in achieving sustainable results. Celebrating your wins and continuously making improvements based on your experiences are powerful strategies that can significantly enhance your progress. Keep up the great work!!!

I use the scale at my job right now because the scale i have (the exact one in the link) can't read my weight because I'm over 400 lbs, I've been really frustrated lately with my weigh loss but im gonna try food tracking and daily weigh ins

I have relapsed greatly due to the scale but now I avoid it as frequent. I weigh myself three times a week as opposed to every single day.

Me too, i was 420 lbs lost 130 got 100 left to lose. I only get on the scale every blue moon because it makes me lose motivation regardless if I lose weight or not lol I gotta conquer it like you said.
@ivangerginov56486 ай бұрын
I agree with everything besides getting a smart scale. Those scales are not smart, they just run your weight through a bmi calculator based on your height and spit out numbers that mean absolutely nothing. Get a normal scale. These smart scales have no idea what body fat and muscle you have.
@Edward_Strong19826 ай бұрын
For me the scale same was causing too much stress. The scale is not reliable if you’re doing body recomposition. At this point I’m more muscle than fat but the scale doesn’t reflect it. So I measure instead and get weighed every 3 months at the doctor. Also go by how my clothes are fitting. I chucked all my scales in the trash

Wake up, piss and then weigh yourself. Log your weight every day. After seven days add each day and divide by 7. Do it again next week. You want the moving average to be headed in the right direction.

@BrixFitness I am not trying to tell no one how to run their channel so this comment is just a suggestion. I wanted to share your videos with a young man who is having trouble with his weight and I wanted to share your advice and successes. But there is too much profanity for my comfortability. Is there a way that you could be more PG in that area? Think of it this way if you were invited on national TV you couldn't use that language. Your journey is too great to have it diminished by your vocabulary.
