@@revelation2-9 yes you are correct. Jesus fulfilled the law and His blood was God's covenant that replaced the old covenant (law of Moses). Some Bible verses for those interested. The Devil leads you down the path of pornography step by step. "But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." KZbin is one of those vehicles, plenty of sinful music, plenty of gyrating scantily clothed bodies, and suggestive lyrics. If you cut this out at the source you will find it so much easier to resist. Don't watch that image, don't allow those filthy lyrics to possess your mind. The devil will suck you in slowly, and slowly you will sell out, and slowly you sink into lustful sinfulness. Confess, repent, turn to Christ, don't indulge, and our walk of righteousness will be easier.

And often, something that we perceive as evil at the first glance, isn't that after all. I was shocked and devastated at first when I found out that I have a serious, chronic disease that I will carry for the rest of my life. But after a while I realized that it's the greatest blessing for me. I needed it to change my ways of thinking, the way I perceive life and treat other people. I have such a huge gratitude about everything. If my physical struggle with the disease makes my spiritual struggle even a bit easier, I must think of it as a great blessing. Glory to God.

Thank you father Spyridon for this wonderful message. It is amazing how God enters to each one of us hearts. Mine was very different though. I am an Orthodox Christan but I used to doubts the existance of the devil and sometimes I used to think it as a fairytale. Here is how God come into my life and change me forever. One day I went out with my friends and drink a lot of alcohol then we both get drunk. The next day I feel much better but spritually I was so weak. At that same day , when it gets a little darker me and my brother, were just talking a little. Then my brother told me to turn of the lights and to sleep. And I turned of the lights and just started to stare at the wall thinking about last night. Look, my eyes are still open.!! Then I saw someone on the wall looking at me in a way which is very hateful. I could not believe what i am seeing! Then I saw the devil himself I could not explain how i felt, It was beyond terrible. How could I, from all the people in this world, forced be to see the Devil in my own eyes I ask God. Then still staring at the wall started to see a cross which was clearly upside down and the place was a cemetery. I saw the photo of dead people at that same moment. I try to tell myself "Lord, am I dead"? Then immediately I told my brother to turn on the lights and told him what I saw and he said it was just a bad dream which i was expecting him to say and what I do not want you all my brother who are reading this to think like that it was a dream. MY eyes were open, open open. Only my Lord Jesus knows how to get his lost sheep. I know I would not be watching Father Spyridon teaching if I was not called by God that night. That night I see it as God saying to me "You see the truth now, Now save your soul and tell what you saw for everyone". A month after that night I decided go to Saint Michael the Archangel monastery where I get baptized by the holy water then the devil was rebuked by the Angle of the Lord Saint Micheal. God gave me the pain, God delivered me from my pain, but most importantly, God showed me the way. Do not go away from God, Do not go away from this Holly Church, always listen to our Fathers cause they are always right trust me. Always say to your selfe "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." Sorry my grammer and English. You brother in Christ from Ethiopia, Amen.

Hey brother. I am a "Biblical Unitarian", so I don't know if you'd call me a brother back and I understand. I am very torn, I have gained a new found respect for Catholicism and Orthodoxy. So ancient! And Christ promised the gates of gell wouldn't overcome the church. And I hate to feel like somehow I or anyone know more than these two churches dogmas.....but I feel as if "Biblical Unitarians", like "Anthony Buzzard", raise some good points that at the very least I rarely hear addressed properly, accurately, factually, or are just simply ignored or unheard of period. Points on the true nature of man and death. The true nature of the gospel. The true nature of the Trinity, and the identity of Jesus and God. The nature of going to Hell and "Heaven" and what they are. I know, that seemingly against the ancientness of orthodoxy and catholicism I feel so small asking these questions. But I cannot deny my conscience and seeming evidence I have seen plainly for myself that seems to HIGHLY support the "Biblical Unitarians" claims questioning.

Thank you father Sydirion! Your teaching is spot on, it’s everything I’ve been learning since starting to study the Word of God. There is only one thing I’d like to add about the devil: he does not only tempt us into sin, temptation being that moment you have to make a choice between right and wrong. Worse than temptation is how the devil leads millions of people into deception... To the point of not even realizing we are choosing evil, because morality has been so watered down in society, making us believe that respecting and accepting other people’s choices are morally correct. I puke to this notion right now... Fortunately God has opened my eyes to the truth and now I see how much I have been deceived before. I can’t believe I used to accept abortion, even if in the first stages of pregnancy... This is so incredibly evil, and I thought I was genuinely a good person! When I woke up to this deception, I cried bitter tears of repentance in the face of our Beloved Holy God. I’m so grateful for Him for everything He has always given me, even by being so deceived. Thank you for your teachings, I listen to you occasionally and its a pleasure. You feel like a pure christian, who really cares about God. 🙏🏻💖

Father, thank you this teaching. I do, however, struggle with the idea of evil and the nature of God. You mention that God didn't create evil, but he created the propensity to undertake evil. The devil is not someone who created himself; he was ultimately created by God. God understood that evil would come into the universe well ahead of time but allowed it to happen. He contemplated and understood evil long before it came to pass. I find that deeply troubling. We chose it, but God made it "choosable". I am scared that hell may therefore always be part of existence; that it is integral to all existence and something that we must struggle to overcome forevermore because God is an antinomy.

the church fathers understood the verse as follows CHRYSOSTOM: For since we are accustomed to use the word evil to speak of calamities, and not only of thefts and adulteries, so the prophet allows this usage. On this basis the prophet can say, “There is no evil in the city that the Lord has not done.” This too, by means of Isaiah, God has made clear, when he said, “I am God who makes peace and creates evil,” again naming calamities evils. This evil also Christ hints at, thus saying to the disciples, “Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof, "that is to say, the affliction, the misery. It is manifest then on all sides that he here calls punishment an evil, even as we commonly do, affirming at the same time that God brings these on us. AUGUSTINE: “I make good things and ‘create’ evil things.” For to “create” means to order and arrange. And so in most manuscripts it is written, “I make good things and order evil things.” To make is to give being to something that did not exist at all, but to order is to arrange something that already exists in such a way that it becomes greater and better. Thus, when God says, “I order evil things,” he means those things that fall away, that tend to non-being, and not those that have attained their end. For it has been said that, owing to the divine providence, nothing is permitted to reach a state of non-being. ORIGEN: In the same way also we explain theexpressions, “I, who make peace and create evil”; for he calls into existence “corporeal” or “external” evils, while purifying and training those who would not be disciplined by the word and sound doctrine. This, then, is our answer to the question, “How is it that God created evi l chrysostome God said through the prophets, “I, God, am making peace and creating evils.” What sort of evils? Those mentioned-captivity, servitude and the like. Not fornication, licentiousness, avarice and anything else like that.… Do not let the false prophets undermine you; God can give you peace and consign you to captivity, which is the meaning of “making peace and creating evils.” For you to learn that this is true, let us make a precise examination of the individual expressions. After saying before, “I am the one who brought light and darkness into being,” he then went on to say, “making peace and creating evils.” He cited two opposites first, and two opposites after that, for you to learn that he is referring not to fornication but to calamities. I mean, what is set as the opposite of peace? Clearly captivity, not licentiousness or fornication or avarice. So just as he cited two opposites first, so too in this case; the opposite of peace is not fornication, or adultery, or licentiousness or the other vices, but captivity and servitude THEODORET OF CYR: He calls “light” here the happy events-the cessation of slavery, the liberation and the return- and “darkness” the sad happenings-the siege, the subjection, the enslavement. It is I, he says, who am the author of these two series of events, of these and of those. It is I who made use of Nebuchadnezzar to inflict the chastisement and who have chosen Cyrus as the instrument for the liberation. And just as I am the creator of the light and of darkness, and [just as] I have produced each of them so that they are used for humankind, I have inflicted bondage on Israel in its interest, and I have made the gift of freedom by reason of my benevolence. “Who make peace and create evil.” He has clearly taught what he has meant under the name of darkness and of light: it is peace that he has called “light” and the events that seem bad “darkness.” So [God] has called them evil, not because they are evil by nature but because people considered them thus. For we have the habit of saying, “Today is a bad day for me,” not because the day itself is changed to some other nature but because in the course of that day some events happened that produced sorrow

@@shanste1 I don't think the Bible teaches God literally created evil and sin. For example Jesus said, "the devil was a liar and the father of liars" meaning it originated with him as crazy as that sounds. However the Bible definitely teaches that we should fear God as a destroyer. Meaning he is the only one truly able to kill someone, no one else can really kill you. They may put you to sleep for a while but only God can truly destroy. I feel like sin and evil have always existed, not as God or in God, but by virtue of the fact that he exists. If he exists then the mere concept of the opposite must at least exist. But when it came into reality was through the snake, the devil, Satan, and us. Or at least I think idk.

@@youngknowledgeseeker Our almighty Father created everything. GOD is in total control of everything, even the evil of this world. The evil of this world is our adversary, Satan means adversary. To believe God didn't create evil means something exist without God, that is not a almighty creator if something exist without God's knowledge
