20:21 I liked that they connected the “resurrect Davina” episode arc to the “kill Lucien” season arc in the climax of this episode. 5:37 good catch of that reversal between Davina & Kol (them literally being on opposite sides), I’d never noticed that callback before. Personally, I always liked Davina and the witch plot lines since I like the magic, but her death was a powerful climax to the episode and I LOVE what it does for Marcel’s character. His speech at the end there of being so fed up with the Originals is great. 22:15 Yes! Thank you! Van was annoying imo. At least Davina had on-screen experience with magic. Glad someone else agrees. 29:12 nah, I’d like to hear how you all interpret the “friend, foe, family” bit of the prophecy at the end of the season. I have my theory, but people take it different ways.

People ripped into Freya and what she did. And honestly, I didn't like it either. However If Freya had more time, she would've done both. She would have channeled the ancestors through Davina, and then brought her back. Or found another way to do it without sacrificing Davina, though Kol and the others took too long to find stuff on their part. But Freya actually showed remorse, which is growth in her character from season 2 to how she wouldnt have batted an eye to sacrificing someone for family. And if you tell me it wasn't possible, let's remember that Freya is strong (the strongest witch in New Orleans; so much so that they keep nerfing her. She is her own limiter, as even though she has a tonne of power, if she pushes too far her mortal body will die), proof in the fact that the Ancestors FOUGHT against her spell. Not turn it off like a switch... They gradually overpowered her... A SINGLE witch So she would have been able to do both. And I don't remember if it was this episode or the last but when Freya said that she would find a way to destroy the ancestors I believed and FELT that Riley is such an awesome actress

I can't stand Vincent when he tells Marcel "New Orleans is our home, it's time we take it back", sorry but what the fuck does that mean?!? Those others founded the city, if anyone has the right to call it home it's them. In general though I don't like Vincent, I find him too prissy, when in this show no one is innocent.
