The captain being COMPLETELY alright with Isaac hailing a comm from the bridge, initiating a rain scene simulation, professing love to another officer, and then having everyone in the bridge getting wet from all of this. As Gordon says, definitely the weirdest ship in the entire fleet 😂

What's really incredible is that even though Isaac shows no emotion, he actually is the most emotional character in the entire show. He shows more affection, romance and care out of most characters in the series. Despite not expression, you can tell what he is thinking and feeling. In my opinion, best character in the series.

Why is the best “modern-day” Star Trek show not even a Star Trek show?

Because Seth MacFarlane's humor puts the show into a category where Star Trek doesn't fit. This is more like "Galaxy Quest" meets "Firefly".

The trick to a successful fictional creation of whatever genre is it's ability to make people have an interest in the characters, their past, present, future, their interactions etc. These days, not many series can do this, but utilise one dimensional characters with no investments, and I don;t think I need to name the prime examples. That's why The Orville is so loved, because of this inestment it evokes from it's fans. Well done ALL involved with The Orville... (even though the name does keep bringing up... * shudders* 'I didn't !!!")

Honestly I've oftened wondered if the Federation stores TNT beneath their consoles because those things blow at the slightest bit of action. You'd think in the 24th century the engineers could create a console that didn't blow up in their faces every time they're under attack.

I know that when I first uploaded this video it's sat in purgatory for close to a year with a copyright infringement warning. Then one day I started getting notifications that people were commenting on the video. I believe Seth MacFarlane's production company had a restriction, but that restriction lapsed because they do not own "Singing in the Rain". Whatever rights they paid for to use the song in the episode must have expired. I think there may be some sort of copyright renewal that needs to take place before the episode can appear on television again. As far as I understand it, Kubrick still owns the copyright to the song. I wouldn't put it past whoever is representing him to want more money for the episode to air again. Since the KZbin algorithm only flagged this as a copyright infringement due to the show and not the song, I guarantee if they were to flag it for the song you would never see this clip again on KZbin.
