My parents had Scooby-Doo and all his Hanna Barbara friends, my generation had the Krypto cartoon, and my nieces and nephews got Paw patrol and the like. On that note, Hanna-Barbara also spewed out a bunch of "Group of kids/teens+ mascot dog solving crime" cartoons I think people nowadays will only remember from cameoing in Johnny Bravo or that one song about Jabberjaw.

I think goku GT isn't the best character in the history of the game comparatively, UI Goku and SSJ4 Gogeta top him easily, but we are now in an Environment where every single character (exept my boy frieza) is at the very least a solid character, so it doesn't matter as much how busted UI and Fusions are (and boy are they busted), when for its time the Rat Boy was comparatively far stronger than anything the game had seen before (besides maybe Season 1 16 but he was long nerfed at that point). But he's also gotten quite a bit of nerfs, especially his specials and ultimate were made far less broken, now he's just a solid mid- to high-tier At least that's my Interpretation of the history up until today, I personally only joined mid season 3 so I never experienced this part and mostly pieced it together from MoldyBagel Videos lmao.
