My great-great-grandfather never recognized himself as of Ottoman nationality, but he was considered an American, originally from Palestine. It was around the late 1800s when he was living in Little Syria with Lebanese and Syrian people. I looked up my grandfather's old American passport that said he lived in Brooklyn, New York. Saw his old house on google map. I wish i could visit and find out more. Then I heard he moved to Connecticut. Now here I am, living in the beautiful state of Arizona. I am grateful my grandfathers moved to the United States.

When these people started revolting and fighting back the Ottomans, the Ottoman empire died permanently in 1920.

Turkey has opened its archives to foreign researchers about this and could not find anything. In addition, the economic moves of the ottoman are not weak at that time, 1 Ottoman Dinar was equal to 4 US dollars. Also, since the ottoman is a warring country, it is impossible not to collapse.
