Also no idea what you might be refering to with Parvati, but she's probably my favorite too, even though she had the longest fucking questline so she can hook up with a certain character. Im happy for em. I fucked up and had the board up my ass so getting her clothes was hell. But something about being in a massive fire fight, getting nice clothes and fighting my way back to my ship was just epic and halarious

Starfield is only fallout in space fallout new Vegas is considered by most the best fallout game in the series and who created that oblivion themselves the people who made the outer worlds. I got 300 hours in starfield 500 hour in no man sky. If you want base building no man sky all the way. If wanna fly ship go to random planets with no loading screens no man sky. It’s that simple. If starfield took the elements of no man sky seamless adventure I would say it would of been the greatest sci fi game but it’s constant with loading screens

I know, I bought NMS (which I put on my wishlist after Yahtzee re-reviewed it) because of Starfield reception. I'll probably buy Starfield in like 4 years, after all the DLCs & patches have been released and there will be a number of mods to play with. I did that with Fallout 4, bought it in 2019.

I genuinely thought I was going to be playing Starfield and pretty much nothing else for the next couple of years but honestly I've just found myself going back to games like Outer Worlds and Fallout 4 again. Maybe I'll try Starfield again in a few years after quest mods and DLC are out.

I bought the base game when I bought my PS4 a few years ago, and thought the game was just okay. Last year the PS Store had a sale on DLCs and add-ons, so I could buy the DLCs cheap. Once I played the game with the DLCs added, I enjoyed the game much more. It's become a favorite.

I knew where you were going with Parvati, and i loved every minute of it. This game made me care so much for the companions, it's just a blast. Where as in starfield, you just don't give a damn. Obsidian did everything right here.

Played this game for the first time last February. I loved it. I still love it, so much. The dialogue and characters are such a joy and I love it visually. It made me laugh a lot. On a second playthrough and I don’t love it any less. Can’t wait for the sequel.

BUT no surround sound, wth ... found some ancient requests to fix this, but no solutions whatsoever ... my drivers, system settings etc are up to date and not at fault ... got perfect surround sound in every other game and my driver setup test. Anyone got the same problem and a solution?

I took a break from Starfield so I could replay through Control and OG Alan Wake in preparation for Alan Wake 2, and now that I got back to it I've ran into a terrible performance bug that causes the game to stutter constantly on my current playthrough save file and ONLY that one, I can start a new game with perfect performance and even save and reload it without issue. So yeah since I'm not about to restart a 60 hour save file I guess I'll finally give the Outer Worlds the try I kept meaning to give it but never did.

Feeling underwhelmed about Starfield, I was curious to retry this also, as I felt about the same as you the first time around, and failed to get very far in it, however I'm encouraged to retry it now too thanks to this video. Starfield is getting under my skin, especially from a dialogue and VA point of view (You know how much I've spent in Cyberpunk 2077) - not much comes close to CP2077 - in fact every RPG like this seems like an amateur-hour line reading exercise in comparison (BG3 was also awesome I should clarify) - Starfield VA/Scripting is stilted, stale and delivery is an afterthought. That was acceptable before CDPR and Bioware raised the bar with Mass Effect, the Witcher and Dragon Age, but simply painful an inexcusable now, Cyberpunk 2077 really has seriously ruined many other RPGs for me. Cyberpunk even tops acing in action game cut sequences now, like Uncharted for example, and it all happens in-game in CP! Crazy! (Anyway, thanks for the video, hope you're keeping well buddy! I'll give this a bash in 2024 I think)

Game definitely has its charm, but like you said combat needs brushing up and so does anything combat related. Only problem is the game has a relatively small world space compared to games like fallout, cyberpunk and Starfield. Still a much better game than starfield.

I had the same experience. Going back to it after Starfield felt like a revelation. It is amazing what good writing can do. I'm bouncing between BG3 and TOW at the moment and having the best time. BG3 is like an all consuming experience that can leave me wanting to play something lighter and TOW is scratching that itch perfectly.

I love this game and I don’t understand why it got so many negative reviews. It’s fun to play. I like the themes, I like the characters, I adore the stylistic environments. It’s a fun, light hearted critique of capitalism. The combat wasn’t worse than any Bethesda game and I play those too. I guess it was kind of small in comparison to some of the big giant open world games but I don’t need a lot of empty space in a video game environment. In fact it annoys me when there are whole sections of maps that mean nothing and have nothing worth seeing or doing. (Looking at you, Inquisition.) I prefer depth over breadth any day. Parvati is freaking adorable and her personal quest is the sweetest thing. I loved Vicar Max too…not because he was cute. He was interesting. His quest actually makes you think.

Outer Worlds was one of my favorite games of all time. The choices throughout the game offer a lot of replayability, same with the variety of build types. You can actually kill everyone with the exception of one character they intentionally put behind bulletproof glass for that reason. An “evil” play through is very viable and you actions resinate through out the game. As a PlayStation player this franchise now being exclusive to Xbox bugs me more than Fallout and Elder Scrolls.

I think this game was overshadowed by star field when it was announced at E3 by tod howard.. so the expectations from outer worlds was much higher.. now that Star field turned out to be a flop.. people are realizing the outer worlds is decent

Honestly the outer wilds is a 10/10 game and one of the best I have ever played. The outer worlds is good and I do love the writing. It just seems to have some issues with pacing and replay ability.

I think Outer Worlds embody how to make a good game. Like, it doesn't bite more than it can chew, and it doesn't over reach, when it doesn't have to. To get the basics out, graphics and gameplay. You definitely can say that it's above "basic", but nowhere near perfect. But... does it have to be? I mean, I'm just happy that it's not too pixelated, and it runs smooth. Combat wise... I mean, one of the largest games on the market is CS:GO, it's literally just point and shoot as well. It didn't reinvent the wheel... and it didn't have to. It worked with what could be changed. So yes, it's no Monster Hunter Rise, but not every game has to be perfect. Overall, I think you could see that the effort was there... it just didn't hit the mark of being a revolutionary game.

Unfortunately your praise did our game a little disservice but this is expected as your initial expectations of this game were originally not that great. The modding community made adjustment’s to our game in which I actually praised; Textures, performance, interface, combat to name a few. The true strength of our game was indeed the story writing, the moral decisions were quite the head scratcher and we could leave you soul destroyingley crushed or enlightened as well as a lung bursting bout of laughter . You Also forgot to mention our 2 amazing unique DLC’s. May I suggest your viewers try them out for the full experience. On the Starfield being boring remember this is just the beginning for Starfield it will be better than what you originally imagined, remembering this is not a new fall out game or and elder scrolls game this is a new entity… Though I do admit it has its history steeped in and influenced by its predecessors… So yep maybe a little Fallout Feild or Skyfield Maybe it’s a little Starout or Starym but it’s not boring.. Anyways thank you for your review and continue to enjoy your gaming, remember it’s just a game and it’s not Soacers Choice it’s Gamers choice (and that is a spacers choice)

It's ironic that anyone would praise The Outer Worlds in retrospect, when they're essentially the same game. Bland, designed by committee slop, made by developers trying to coast on the legacy of better games made long ago. The Outer Worlds only has one idea it does over and over again, with "quirky" writing to try and cover how shallow it is. Big empty boxes with prefabbed buildings and more effort put into marketing than actual development... it's embarrassing that people eat this up with a smile on their faces. Bethesda and Obsidian really are no different.

I agree It was vapid & shallow. With a vineer of style glazed over the top but it ended up being makeup on a pig. You can only look more fondly upon this game in so far as the newer stuff is even worse. Which I see to the common trend. New media is so much lesser, that media from a few years ago is being viewed through rose tinted glasses because it was less crap than what we get now, but slop is slop and outer worlds was a 6/10 game.

I love this game, and it’s so disappointing to see people randomly start hating on it now? Like it was really well made and extremely fun. I don’t think it’s the GREATEST game of all time. But 100% my favorite of all time. It has almost everything I want in a game. A space game with choices, a crew that you ≈ choose/ find, free will, comedy, action, mystery, explorable planets, fun side quests, and random events like getting boarded by pirates. It’s like the guardians of the galaxy game with more freedom. I really hope for a few things in the sequel I want which were the only issues I had, being able to fly the ship/ ship combat, having more companions in the world than space on your ship so your crew can really be customizable and more alive and have replay ability value, a longer story, and a customizable ship or choices of ships, or and love options with companions. Also I wish that the device that gave you disguises lasted longer or was upgradable because it was a cool idea, but ultimately somewhat useless with how short it lasted.
