Especially since the creator's vision was pushed back by Disney during season 1. She had to make room for episodic stuff to make TOH fit the demographic and the TV format... I'm so glad season 2 is much closer to that original vision of hers

I think something important to note when it comes to Eda and King laughing at 9:20 is that they weren't laughing *at* Luz, even if it may look like it at first. Both Eda and King have lived together and been housemates for years. They both know how things work in the Boiling Isles, especially when it comes to Wizards, so their laughter was fully towards the batshit fake Chosen One quest because they knew it was fake. They knew the Wizard was full of it. It's only been a day since Luz moved in and they're not at all accustomed to having another housemate, let alone one who doesn't get these sort of Inside Jokes and Understandings, if that makes sense.

I mean sure. I don't know I would have taken it as they were laughing at me as well. That's my interpretation of it though, but it can be taken as many other ways. I was very used to be laughed at growing up, so that just felt very relatable to me and totally get how she was feeling in that moment

Along with the episode title first letter code that another commenter mentioned there is another code in each episode (the number you were mentioning, it’s a witch word) each episode has just 1 hidden somewhere in the background and put together they make a season long poem, with just 2 episodes it’s (if I remember right it’s been awhile) A W… and “two witches…”

Fun fact: the 30 and flirty on the cup is maybe a reference to a special feature on the gravity falls dvd, where stan mentioned his ex wife and was wearing a shirt that says “30 and flirty”

To answer if she goes back and forth, since she supposed to be at summer camp for a few months, she doesnt have to super worry about her mom (Camila) finding out right away. Also, dont try to figure out time passage to much. There certain points were we roughly know how long it been, and it either directly stated, or can be found out with background details.

One of the more slower episodes in my opinion, but it really brings the world building up in how magic is used sometimes. Really can't wait for the next episode, starts picking up from there onwards.

The reveal of the titan was amazing. Plus with Season 2 Episode 17 being the most recent episode. It makes a lot of what we know about the titan in a new way.

I love this episode. The message of the episode is so great. I love that whole kind of speech from eda at the end about choosing yourself rather than waiting to be chosen. It's honestly a message I personally haven't seen much of in kids shows

13:30 The number is actually part of a simple cypher code, part of which appears in every episode for seasons 1 and 2. Each season's code spells out some allusion to major revelations in the season finale. The first letter of the episode title spells out another message. The series is FULL of easter eggs like these, including tons of references to other media. For example, Nevareth's line "do you think love can bloom on the battlefield" comes from Metal Gear Solid. Luz is a delightful nerd and so are the writers.

Love your reactions to Gravity Falls and Owl House. Whenever you have a spot in your schedule, I would recommend Amphibia as well. It starts off as just a fun show, but it quickly grows to also have an amazing story set in a really cool world.

Yes, I think I was the one (one of the people? Idk how many there were) who mentioned the codes in the episodes- what you saw was definitely one of the codes. It’s kind of like Gravity Falls, like you said. I don’t know how people figured out what the key for the code was, but I know that each symbol represents a certain letter sound. This was fun reaction to watch, and I look forward to seeing you react to the rest of the show!

And speaking about codes, there's actually something in the names of episode titles (slight spoilers of how to look for the message), if you read every title's first letter, you can find a hidden message! I'd suggest looking through it as you go so you don't get spoiled by some title names. Oo, and there are also codes hidden in episodes so keep an eye out on them (hint, the codes are always next to an eye). Can't wait for the next episode!

One of my least favourites from the season, but still good. But the forshadowing, and what I think is forshadowing makes me nervous 😭 8:58 You don't say.... I'm so glad that they just said a big NO to your usual tropes! There is one that's coming soon, but only because it was forced on to Dana. Though the twists in that trope too, are something super fun! I can't wait for next episode and...a certain character!

Totally disagree. It's a great episode needed in the beginning of the show that set up and dismantled the Chosen One trope immediately right off the bat that sets the tone for the type of show it's going to be (Aka not like nearly every other Fantasy Magical Chosen One tale that had come before it.) It has development with Luz *and* Eda in the end and we find out that the entire Boiling Isles is living on a gigantic corpse.
