Why have you stopped making The Park Bench? Basically, it stopped being fun. We both work full time on other things. Spending loads of your spare time outside of work on something else is great if it’s fun, but if not, then it’s kind of a waste isn’t it? Love that you have the guts to end something popular because you aren't enjoying it anymore. So many youyubers would think "well I hate doing it, but people like it and it brings in money, so I'll stick at it" and then the content gets worse and worse as they lose commitment and enthusiasm. Its so great that you can admit its not fun and move on to something else. Really shows that you do youtube for the passion and not just the money. Theres not enough youtubers like you guys around!

This is surprisingly saddening to let go. The light hearted nature, the behind the scenes view, and the life stories, all shared over a park bench (or other seating paraphernalia) had grown to me. Both Tom and Matt are closing this age of their history on KZbin. They're coming up with new shenanigans and new and exciting ideas, but is also good to take a look at the path that brought us all here. Here lies The Park Bench: an intimate space between us and them, that was composed of only two chords, many laughs and a sincere touch of life lessons. So long, Park Bench.

Just watched this video off the back of your discussion/rant about Star Trek Discovery, and it's turned into my own version of "I'm not sure I wanted what I thought I wanted". I saw that the dates on The Park Bench videos were all circa 2017 (from my particular KZbin-algorithm-based perception), and that had made me wonder if The Park Bench had finished, so I watched this video to get confirmation, and now I'm not sure I wanted it! After all, it could have been a retrospective of all of the best bits from the arbitrary time period spanning the years 2015-2018. I mean, it did have all of the best bits of the park bench, but I didn't quite imagine they'd be scattered over a hundred metre radius...
