Was talking to a neighbor who had a patz barn cleaner. He said that was the original barn cleaner head that was installed back in 1958. That’s incredibly reliable to run that long every single day.

Used one in a sawmill, 8-10 hours a day running continuously and seldom a breakdown. RELIABLE!

Patz silo unloaders amazed me! You set the gauge wheels to take about so much silage and never have to let it down on a cable. Just let her go!

We had a Badger when I was growing up in the 80’s. Was a link chain with pins. Not as nice. Had Patz silo unloaders. Now we have a Jamesway scraper boss and bunker silos. Great olde video

Where I lived Berg was the number 1 barn cleaner. There were a few Patz cleaners around and there were a few guys that swore by their Acorn cable cleaners.

I really enjoyed the video we had old bager barn cleaner and it work ok then we took it out in 04 and put in a PATZ and it is a 100 times better barn cleaner so much easier to work on

These days barns are built with a basement manure tank & slots in the floor. Little robots cruise along behind the cows with a little bulldozer blade & scrape the manure into the slots. The little robot works just like a robo vacuum. When the basement gets near full, it is all pumped out & it is spread onto the fields. Why do farmers OWN combines? For only 2 weeks out of the year it would be smarted to rent one. Have you seen the window sticker on a combine? That dosent sound like a smart business decision. Oh, thats right, a FAMILY farm. !

There aren’t many combines to rent. When the crops are ready they need to be off the field. It takes an army of machines working sometimes for months to get the crops off across North America. There’s lots of custom harvest crews now instead of small farms owning.

Nice try sales guy , had to deal with these when I was younger,first of all expecting cow manure to go up an incline,bad idea #2 the reverse curve on the return side,bad idea #3 a 90°turn on the loaded chain,had these systems been installed properly what a difference it would have made, but instead it was a ongoing nightmare.

we got a Patz when I was 12. At that point in my life it was the best thing that ever happened to me.! It worked like a charm.
