I keep thinking about Sal watching Sofia eat, and I don't think he was judging or trying to freak her out - I reckon he was happy watching her because she was honestly enjoying it. The way he talks about cooking makes it seem like that was a strong 'love language' for his family, and I think he was glad she was appreciating it more than anything else.

Influence and knowledge are his best weapons, he knows what ppl want to hear. Watching this show I always remember Penguin from the Arkham games, he always has an army of goons because they believe he's the one that's going to rule Gotham because he knows how to speak to the underdogs the ones that ppl don't see but the Penguin from the games had that side of comical villain, this Penguin is scarier and more cunning.

Great contrast of (3) instances of cooking in this show: Carmine is never shown actually cooking, but carving up a roast *someone else* prepared; Sal in contrast invested in learning a recipe dear to his wife and son and is used to making it from scratch, but despite being on the backfoot for a long time now and suffering a major loss of the Bliss market he’s still wealthy enough to cook so well; Vic and Oz, however, despite the success are still living humble

I love Danny Devito's Penguin and always will but Colin Farrell's fresh take on the character really has won me over especially in this episode. I liked him since the Batman, but now I can safely say he's the ultimate performance of Penguin on the same level as Heath Ledger's take on Joker.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t think too much of Penguin in The Batman. I appreciate Farrell’s performance a lot but I was too invested in the new Batman. So hearing about this show didn’t do much for me…until it began. Honestly one of the highlights of the year in television for me. I rewatched The Batman and it changed my perspective completely. Really happy to have had my mind changed!

@@ironforged2329 Rex may be Oz's actual father. Alberto says that Rex was a small-timer. Oz holds Rex in such esteem; partly because Rex was actually looking after Oz. I think maybe Oz's brothers were from Frances husband (Cobb) while Oz was Rex's child. And that his brothers, father and Rex may have died when all of this came to light.

Sal probably didn't have to fight off bigger people for every meal in prison. He probably had more like a "Goodfellas" set up..... He looked at Sofia like it was new to him someone being that hurried at a meal. Which would be odd if it has been a while since they teamed up. Unless Winter was literally just around the corner last week. And time has to have passed. The 'shrooms have spread out. Surely Sal has seen Sofia eat before that meal....

Another great ep with the acting really being outstanding from all the actors The only thing i didnt think was nessicary in the show was the transvessite He waring a trench coat with a fur collar which could a refrence to arkham city design Predictions: -Penguin will get a broken glass bottle shove into his eye that will replicate monocle look Penguin will blackmail the dirty politicians with threats of leaking there dealing to the newspaper in exchange for dirty on sal marone and turning a blind eye to oz dealings Oz will off sal marone and leave sofia in a wheelchair while oz takes over
