The Hist are technically Padomaic Elnofey as they are spawn of Sithis and are also why the Argonians worship Sithis and to a far lesser extent Lorkhan as Lorkhan is the main Padomaic Elnofey but one who is opposed to Sithis’ malevolent nature.

The origins of the Khajit are less certain. The form a Khajit takes is dependent on the phases of the moons. A pair of these forms are the Ohmes, who look near indistinguishable from the wood elves, and the Ohmes-Raht, who look like hairy humans with tails. The cat-folk themselves claim to be another race of elves, which is part of why they joined the Aldmeri Dominion. (Other part being the High Elves took credit for doing something with the moons)

Gonna just bring this in to complicate things further: a lot of the early lore is conflicted by other sources much like in real history. I believe in the sources that identify Khajiit and Bosmer as sharing a common ancestry with their own form of Elnofey who were originally just formless blobs. Azura claimed some of them as her favourite people and turned them into cats, while slighted by this the spirit of Nirn handed the rest of them to Jeffre, who had already gotten to design all the animals and plants but was so much of a lazy hack they turned the Bosmer into just another kind of Elf.

I always enjoy seeing someone go down the rabbit hole that is Elder Scrolls lore. Very nice upload. Everything there was well presented. Off the top of my head the only thing I think is inaccurate is that it's only implied what happened to the Snow Elves. It was strongly implied mind you but I'm a stickler for lore to be presented as up in the air when it is.

This video is very well done. If you just know the basic basics of the world it sets you up to learn more. Would not be able to learn a lot if we had to stop for 6 hours so I can explain the Dwemer, and then also let you know that it is speculation lol. The other thing to me is quality audio. I want to listen to good crisp recordings, even better with a nice voice.

It's actually *completely unknown* what prompted the Night of Tears. The Falmer _might_ have been intimidated by the fecundity of the Atmorans and struck first out of paranoia, but given the extremely _unneighborly_ disposition of the Atmorans and their descendants towards the other natives of Tamriel it's just as likely that the Falmer were intimidated (or even provoked) the good old-fashioned way. It could have also been that the Falmer were aware of the Eye of Magnus (a magical artifact of unknown origin and potentially cataclysmic power) beneath Saarthal and struck to keep the Atmorans from learning of or abusing it, but again we have literally no records from the Falmer to add weight to that theory. All we know is how Ysgramor and his fellow interlopers responded, and the centuries of warfare that followed and eventually led to the near total genocide of the Falmer. It wouldn't exactly be the _only_ time the Atmorans/Nords expunged or conveniently failed to mention events that painted them in a bad light in their history.

The Night of Tears was prompted because the Falmer were so petty as to deny Humanity access to an artifact of Magnus of the Magne-Gi. Also the Atmorans and later the Nords became in your words “unneighborly” towards the Mer because well they were betrayed at the Night of Tears as they were originally welcomed by the Falmer only to be betrayed and had genocide committed against them. The Atmorans and their Nord Descendants became Xenophobic towards Elves as a result of a extremely hostile first experience committed against them.

@@Mare_Man The Nords speak of the Falmer as being initially hospitable then without provacation committing genocide. The Last Falmer expresses guilt and blames their own people for their fate. To me from these facts we can put the pieces together to paint a relatively accurate picture of events.

@@InquisitorXarius The Nords and their progenitors have a long and well-documented history of changing or erasing details that paint them in a negative light. Knight-Paladin Gelebor has no dialog whatsoever blaming the Falmer for their fate. In fact, all he has to say about that time is: _"We were once a wealthy and prosperous society that occupied a portion of Skyrim. Unfortunately, we were constantly at war with the Nords who claimed the land as their ancestral home."_

And also considering the snow elves were all wiped out or degenerated, the only source for it is from Ysgramor and the 500, so there’s no guarantee anything even happened at all.

It's been two months, but I feel like I should say something about the Redguards. They sank their own island. Actually, it was a single Redguard who sis it. The Redguards the most natural warriors on Tamriel, and possibly all of Nirn. They have something called an "Ansei" or "Sword Singer". Basically, they can turn their soul into a weapon and use it to devestating effect. These sung swords are called "Shehai". It's said a Yokudan Ansei sunk Yokuda with one of the immensely powerful techniques the Ansei are capable of. Basically, an Ansei could take on an entire Astartes chapter and completely wreck everyone's shit. Of course, Ansei are basically unheard of in the current age. Though I believe you can fight one in ESO, he supposedly fought a Lesser God and won by shattering the God's sword with his Shehai. So... pretty strong. Also, they have Porcelain Armor. Doesn't sound very protective, but it's one of the best armors that exist, and not only doesn't hamper your movements, but enhances it. Plus it has shimmering colors that fuck with the enemies vision. So, the Yokudans are actually really badass. They're basically Super Samurai Arabs.

Like, for as few games as TES has, it has an ocean of lore almost as deep and convoluted as 40k. Like, straight up, this is as oversimplified and stamped flat as a 5-ish Minute Lore on the whole of 40k. Best start believin' in Rabbit Holes, Mr. Commissar. You're falling into one!

The Lore surrounding the Origins of the Orsimer is very much up for debate. As mentioned early on the Goblins and Reiklings already existed as natives to Tamerial. As well as the various trolls, gremlins and Ogres. The thing is, all of them are creations of Malacath, like the Orcs. This is accepted by all historians as fact and is common knowledge. Even the developers say it’s true. So all of Malacaths creations that he made in his image, existed before he existed to create them. Wha? Almost all Orcs don’t believe that Malacath was once Trinimac, but that he was always Malacath and the Boethia story was mere propaganda by the Altmer as a way of claiming to be more important than they really are. This can be seen in the Lore of Orsinium, where all of Malacaths children are written as having lived together in a kingdom made by His Children, for His Children. With the possible exception of the trolls as they have no true sentience.

@@Mare_Man But he has never claimed or confirmed that he was once Trinimac. And I’m not denying that they’re Elven Folk, only their Origins. The Falmer and Dwemer are clearly Elves, but with no explanation as to their Origins either. And the Regada are noted as having fought a genocidal war with “Left-Handed Elves before the loss of their Continent. So one can be an Elf, but not Originating from the Altmer as the other elves of Tamerial did.
