💔I believe Cutie may have had her babies. She will not leave her nest often now, and she will get her food near the nest where she buried it. I was told by a wildlife officer that this happens for about 12 weeks after a squirrel gives birth. They have to nurse every 2 to 4 hours, and they want to keep their babies very warm. They don't like to leave their babies for too long. Squirrels are loving moms. 🐿P.S...My little squirrels must have had their babies as well. I haven't seen all of them for a little while. It happens every year, and every year I worry. Before I know it, they are tapping on my glass kitchen door waiting for me with delight. I can't tell you how many times I have burst into tears of joy after seeing them. Every year...

Now that winter has come, I've noticed a small minority of my squirrels have red tails, whereas most of them are grey. I don't really see any physical difference in the two other than color. I wonder if they are a different species or just have slightly different colors. I will say it seems like the red tails are a little more spastic and wired up but that may be circumstantial. Anyway, thank you so much for allowing me to discover this world just outside my window. I love your channel!
