Linda had it all. Massive talent, range, genre, power. And the three "B"s made her very easy on the eyes. Bangs, Blue jeans, Bare-foot.

Willie Nelson said there are two types of people in the world. Those who love Linda and those who haven't met her

I went to a concert where she and Emmylou Harris traded songs throughout the show. After Ronstadt did this one, and hit that long note at the end, Emmylou waited for the cheering to go down, looked out at the crowd and said "Imagine having to follow that every night."

Thanks for the reaction to this gifted vocalist! Linda was the most popular female singer of her time, able to sing rock, country rock, pop, Spanish, and opera. She can no longer sing due to illness. There are many, many more songs worth reacting to -- "Long Long Time', 'You're No Good', 'Love Has No Pride', 'Different Drum', 'The Tracks Of My Tears', 'Hurt So Bad', and really, many more. I saw her in concert long ago and it remains the best concert I have ever attended. She opened for Jackson Browne. They were taking turns opening for one another on their tour and it was her night to open. When she started to introduce Jackson Browne to come on out no one wanted her to leave. Of course, he was brilliant as well.

"Blue Bayou" is a song written by Roy Orbison and Joe Melson. It was originally sung and recorded by Orbison, who had an international hit with his version in 1963.

Linda is of Mexican American heritage. Not only are her "English" songs great, but she trained her voice to sing with Mariachi bands. When she belts it out in Spanish, her voice is equally if not more so impressive and powerful.

Any of her songs are standouts. Even in Spanish.

"You're No Good" is another great one from her. Shows more of her hard rock sound. Also, some of the Eagles members started out as her backing band.

'Long Long Time" is her heartbreak song that really packs the emotion about being rejected by her love, but is really an oxymoron as Linda is just as beautiful as Samantha and ALL men were in love with her! As Willie Nelson said; There are 2 types of men, those who are in love with Linda and those who do not yet know of her.

Her first hit in the 60's, while a member of the Stone Ponies called, "Different Drum" is a winner

And by the way Glenn Frey and Don Henley of Eagles, were part of her touring band. She had a major part along with her boyfriend at the time JD Souther of helping the Eagles actually forming their band.

I don't know any guy who was alive in the 70s and 80s who wasn't in love with Linda Ronstadt. She could sing the phone book and make it bewitching. Just to see how talented and diverse she was, you should check out her live version of La Charreada. Once you start tuning in to Linda Ronstadt, you'll never want to tune out. That's a promise.

I always respected the way she sang "Hurts So Bad" almost like crying. There's just enough warble to sound profoundly...well, hurt so bad.

The best selling female artist of the 70s. My favorite female artist, period. She could literally sing any genre of music.

Linda can literally sing anything. If you get into enough of her catalog, she sings opera to traditional Spanish music, folk rock music to pop etc.
