I made this beanie - its so perfect ! I used size 4 yarn, 5.5 mm hook. I started with a chain 43 as well. Repeated the sections 4 times to fit my head .

I cannot wait to try this pattern especially because it hugs the shape of the head. I want to try your pattern using hdc and dc to see if it will still work, in hopes it works up a bit faster than sc 😉💜 Thank you for taking your time to make such a well explained tutorial.

Love this tutorial! Can I do this with only the the alpaca silk? I’m confused on how to make a super fuzzy beanie… I’m new so feeling a bit lost!

Impressive video, eliznuts. Looking forward to your next upload! I clicked that thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work. I loved your explanation of the tapered technique for the beanie; it really enhances the fit! Have you considered experimenting with different yarn blends for varying textures and warmth in future tutorials?

When I've measured my circumference of my head, my grandson and my granddaughter's head. They are young. It's 21 to 23 in and you said this one was measuring at 19 in. Does that mean it's going to stretch? I know that some yarns stretch more than others. I just don't want to make the whole hat and have it not fit. But thank you!. Really like the top the way it looks I can't stand the bunching

If I want to use DK weight yarn, would I just add more chains to get to the 28cm length?

I don't understand how the top of the hat comes together at the end. Did you just sew the different parts together, and then cinched the top?

Please try to remember that everyone crochets at different speeds and this pattern will vary in time based on your choice of yarn, too. If you keep practicing, you'll crochet faster, and this is a wonderful beginner pattern for teaching counting, basic stitches and variations on them, plus serves as a great opportunity to practice making your tension more consistent. There was also NO NEED to be critical when you didn't have to watch the tutorial and could have merely scrolled on. Even better would have been for you to have kept your negative opinions to yourself, especially when your opinion isn't helpful or constructive. No one is forcing you to make a hat using this pattern.
