Hey!! YOU FOUND MY STATE OF OREGON!! Having grown up here, I guess we sort of take it for granted after a while,, but I still remember my first float down the rapids the Summer my family camped there with daily river floats and campfire goodies, I was 7 years old... it somehow etched such a positive feeling that when my kids were growing up we made many long weekend trips staying in Sisters, Redmond, and Bend... doing all the great activities... Mt Bachelor SNOW!! also Snow camping near the Pacific Crest trail. Suttle Lake camping and fishing such fun!! YES you really have NO idea how deep into the activities you can get. My cousin has a Bed & Breakfast so besides camping many different options for spending a weekend or a Week! Looking forward to your next adventures!

I literally took all your advice and we visited all the places you did. Ate at sparrow bakery!! Awesome. Walked the Deschutes river walk. Plan on tubing since we'll be here three weeks before hitting the oregon coast ! I've watched your bend video countless times. Saw where you stay originally. Scadia rv park. Loving it here!! Thanks to you. This my 45th wedding anniversary. Thought about you and wanted to say thank you for helping making this even more spectacular ❤!! I hope one day we meet on the road! Yeah, the only thing I really miss about VHS tapes is that I can't find a Midnight Run (1988) that hasn't been re-mastered for DVD - sometimes the re-mastering really detracts from the authentic original - just kills me when they decide to cut scenes that were originally there and cut frames that were such a big part of making it truly special - we used to stop and go frame by frame of Charles Grodin's face as he feared they were going to crash driving off-road - priceless! Bend also looks to be priceless!

@@EatSeeRV I'm kind of with Mike. Lived in Bend since 1978. It has become an absolute circus here in the summer and winter. The tourism creates people that want to move here; and typically the people that move here drive up housing prices to the point where the people who cater to the tourists are no longer able to live here.
@mikeashe72702 жыл бұрын
@@fishingjohnson exactly, and that lack extra travel has made it so many companies that once relied on tourism had to close because cost of living was too much and people had to find work close to where they had to move to as well as having a harder time finding employees for year round employment. Defund Visit Bend...
@EatSeeRV2 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm glad it helped me discover your beautiful city and visit it in a respectful way. Totally get not wanting it to change further, but you cant discredit what Tourism does for an area. It brings money to the city and helps create jobs!

@@EatSeeRV I don't mind Bend getting filled with tourists and more people moving to it, because Redmond is close by and isn't filled with people like Bend. So you can live in Redmond and still be close to all the activities but without nearly all the people, but still enjoy the increase in home values due to the proximity of Bend (assuming you already own a home there, otherwise you are SOL). I live in Redmond, only 5 minutes away to Smith Rock park and my house sits next to the entrance of the Dry Canyon that runs through Redmond.

Don't come here. Also you did very little in a week. Most of us accomplish that in one evening after work. We have "Bend Sucks" stickers for a reason, and it's not because we don't love it here. It's because we don't like to share. Thanks and goodbye.

Lovely video! I was born and raised in bend :)) only downside is the lack of diversity in this city :( I’m Latina and have faced a lot of racism growing up in school. Plus, with new people moving here I’m seeing my neighborhood that was once a fully Hispanic street being gentrified. Family friends that have been living in their apartments 15 + years are just starting to be kicked out to make room for white families from out of state. Sorry for ranting it’s just now that bend is becoming more popular… people should also be aware of the downsides :D I’m glad you liked the town though!!

Oh good grief… maybe live in Portland…just don’t call for police help…but they’re diverse.

Totally get that and thanks for sharing! Sorry to hear that's happening. Seems it's happening in most "up and coming" places. My hometown is like that too. It's hard to experience for sure.

Don't discredit her sharing her feelings Patrick. She's allowed to feel however she feels it's her life after all. Also, if it's not a helpful comment maybe just don't say it next time? It literally helps no one.

This is a very sensitive subject... Just the two of us... From the moment I heard Frau Said I had a clone I knew that I'd be safe Cuz I'd never be alone An evil Dr. shoudln't speak aloud bout his feelings My hurt and my pain don't make me too appealing I'd hope Scott Would look up to me, Run the buisness of the family Head an evil empire, Just like his dear old dad Give him my love and the things he never had Scott would think I was a cool guy returned the love I have make me wanna cry Be evil, but had my feelings too Chaged my life with Opra and Mya Angelou But Scott rejected me C'est La Ve Life is cruel, treat you unfairly Even so, a God there must be Mini-me, you complete me. Just the two of us...
