If he shared his costs, I promise it would make you and definitely your grandparents cry. The hanger alone is likely and conservatively in the $20-40k a year range and he's got at least one multi plane hanger. I grew up and have worked in aviation my entire life, I'm under no illusions about the fortune it's taken to amass and the continued fortune to maintain that fleet.

Something that randomly popped into my head from my childhood: Always make and submit a flight plan. You never know what could happen and its good for people to know where to look for you and about when you should've been there. I don't know where I heard that but for some reason it has stuck in my head.

I agree. As I pilot you have to be concentrating on single pilot flying and to be listening to communications with ground control. I thought pilots don’t listen to music while flying. I have never heard or seen music playing in the cockpit.
@YoPuru

the FAA permits pilots to listen to music as long as it's not distracting. Some headphones have the ability to have two inputs, one for comms and one for music, and can silence the music whenever audio is detected on the comms input.

All large planes have beacons and tech to see other aircraft and avoid them. At a large airport where traffic issues may arise, they do need to wait in que for traffic control to give them an all clear. But small and personal airport and runways are all visual. This is a hold over from a period of time when people could think for themselves and assure their own saftey without needing permission to live their lives. Not all planes have the tech and those who dont have certain flight restrictions. Like how far, high they can go an what airports they can use.

Don't get me wrong though, it's not gonna be an easy find trying to get one under $50,000, but they are out there. Just need a few repairs and maybe some AD compliance.

@@deadpanda12109 this is true. However, that Cirrus he has I know for a fact is over 500k if he got SOME bells and whistles. My uncle bought one brand new 8 years ago and it was basically a base model and it cost 750k. Which to me, was ridiculous considering at the time their 5 seater jet was only 1.3 million. Now that thing is on back order for like 5 million. I wonder if he regrets it at all. But still those cirrus planes are expensive as shit. I’m curious to know what work the guy in the video does to afford it. My uncle flew for FedEx making over 300k a year. So it made sense that he bought that plane.

@@mikeglenn5212 How MANY Men of Color you see flying? Most of the time children of color are discouraged from being successful and taking on challenges. The Great Divide came when Europeans invoked the Separation among Colors...Read upon your history, but once a Person of Color gives Encouragement to Other People of Color there's a PROBLEM! I understand what your saying just read some of this and I'm not racist at all but we do live in a world where there are many many men and women of color who are very very successful. We don't live in a time where any color is a factor at all, some of my closest co workers are black some of the guys I ride with on Motorcycles are black I teach my child there is no color but the blood we bleed is the same. So when I hear and when my black colored friends hear things like this, it bothers them as well. So let's leave it at that, can you at least acknowledge it's getting out of hand? And BTW we had a black President didn't we? And now a half black VP that's not doing her job, but that's besides the point, but let's stop and be what we all are, one human race and be kind to one another that's all that matters 🇺🇸

Yeah please don't fly like this A) file a flight plan even if you don't have a manned control tower and let whoever is controlling your airspace know at takeoff. B) flying formation is OK but a little more clearance between planes would be a better idea you aren't flying military jets in formation...
