What’s interesting is that all Christians believe that we need to keep 10 commendments and every church has them but we are still debating about keeping sabbath.

One man considers one day holy, and does so to the Lord. Another man considers every day holy, and does so to the Lord. So what's the problem?

Mike Lindner I’ve only been saved for a few months and sabbath really caught my attention. After searching and reading through New Testament twice, I’ve realized that you are absolutely and a 100% correct. I tried to prove that to sabatarians and of course in vain. I now decided to just rest in that understanding of sabbath rest in Jesus every day and to no longer even look at any videos about this subject. Thank you for your reply!

mike linder - the problem is you are way out of context. paul was referring to the 7 ANNUAL feast day Sabbaths NOT the 7th day WEEKLY Sabbath of the ten commandments.

della hendrickson - mike is 100% absolutely WRONG and so are you..you may have read the bible but you are not THINKING. plus you are assuming that the 7th day Sabbath is being described by paul in Mikes argument. it is not. do you honestly think that God, who the bible says NEVER CHANGES is going to let you choose your own day and that the His law, which also NEVER CHANGES is going to magically change so you dont have to keep it? not hardly. burying your head is not going to help you.

*** 1 The Old Testament gives us TWO lists of the Ten Commandments - one in the Book of Exodus and another list in the Book of Deuteronomy. The Ten Commandments in Deuteronomy 5:15 tells us that the purpose of the Sabbath is to remember the Exodus - that is - the Exodus from slavery to Pharaoh in Egypt. If the purpose of the Sabbath in the Old Covenant is to remember the Exodus from slavery to Pharaoh in Egypt, then the purpose of the Sabbath in the New Covenant is to remember the Exodus Jesus Christ brought about by His death and resurrection. Jesus Christ brought about the true Exodus - the Exodus from sin and death - which the Old Covenant Exodus was only a shadow. Paul tells us in Colossians 2: 16-17, that not only are the "ceremonial laws" a "shadow" but that the Seventh-Day Sabbath is a "shadow" also. Here it is in Paul's Letter to the Colossians 2:16-17 : '16. Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival (that's the annual Jewish feasts), a New Moon celebration (that's the monthly Jewish feasts), or a Sabbath day (that's the weekly Seventh-Day Sabbaths). 17. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.' "Shadow" does NOT mean "done away with", it means "transformed". The Old Covenant Passover feast was not "done away with" but was transformed by Christ himself into the Body and Blood of Christ at the Last Supper. The sacrifice of the lamb in the Temple was NOT done away with but transformed into the sacrifice of Christ (the true Lamb) on the Cross. The altar in the Temple was not done away with but transformed into the altar of the wood of the cross. A "shadow" is literally an outline on the ground or wall. A shadow on the ground is not me - I am the real thing - the shadow is only an image, an outline. So too, the "shadow" in the Old Testament has become the reality in Christ at his death and resurrection, which he accomplished on the First-Day of the Week - not on the Seventh-Day of the Week. The Letter to the Hebrews tells us that the New Covenant is greater than the Old Covenant (Heb 8:6) - and that the New Covenant reality is made present in Christ Jesus - while the Old Covenant pointed to something greater to come - the fulfilment of the Old. Jesus Christ, by His death and resurrection, brought about the true Exodus - not from slavery to Pharaoh in Egypt - but the true and real Exodus from slavery to sin and death. That is why Hebrews tells us that there is still a Sabbath day for Christians to keep but that it is On Another Day - that is what Hebrews tells us - the Sabbath is to be kept but kept on Another Day - its right there in Hebrews. Hebrews 4: 8-11, specifically verse 8, shows us its on "another day" For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. In addition - by Christ's resurrection on the First Day of the week - Sunday - Christ has brought about a New Creation - which the New Testament confirms - Christ Jesus IS the New Creation and He IS First-Fruits. There are Sunday Sabbaths in the Old Testament (Lev 23: 9-14) called First-Fruits. God made the Jewish Feast of First-Fruits in the Old Testament to always fall on the Sunday - that is - the Sunday which followed the Saturday Sabbath in the week of Passover week - so Sunday Sabbaths are already given us in the Old Testament - and First-Fruits day is the very day on which Christ rose from the dead following the Passover Last Supper. God had always planned that Christ would rise on the First-Fruits Sunday Sabbath - and Christians obedient to Christ's First-Fruits Sabbath Resurrection - gather every Sunday. Christians celebrate and obey and fulful the requirements of both the Book of Exodus (creation - now a New Creation in Christ Jesus) and the requirements of the Book of Deuteronomy (remembering the Exodus from Egypt - now remembering the true Exodus from slavery to sin and death) by their Sunday celebration of the fulfilment and reality brought about by Christ on the First Day of the week - Sunday. Christians celebrate this on the day of the week Christ accomplished it. In Christ Jesus Christians through Baptism have already entered the heavenly Jerusalem (Heb12:22) and sit with him on his heavenly throne (Eph 2:6) - they already participate in the eternal heavenly rest - and Sunday is a foretaste of that eternal rest - Sunday Mass (and every day of the week when we go to weekday Mass) we enter into that eternal heavenly community of the angles who forever pray and sing "Holy Holy Holy, Lord God of Hosts.." - this is the Mass - this is what the Mass is for - we don't have to wait for death and for heaven after death - we can come to the heavenly hosts and join with them in the eternal praise of God. The Jews in their Sabbath keeping remember the week just past - but we Christians put God first in our week - by bringing everything we are and have, with and for Christ - Christ is the First and the Last - Sunday is the First Day of the week so we gather together to offer and give Him everything - and He gives us Himself - truly present in the Eucharist.

People, it is OK to keep the Sabbath, Jim shows you where in the Bible it says this. What is the debate? Those that say it was changed to another day? If one of the Ten Commandments was changed, that's a big deal, and we should see where scriptures says that a commandment was changed. Jesus taught us many things, if he wanted us to replace Sunday as the Sabbath, HE WOULD HAVE TOLD US, especially after is resurrection when he met with the apostles. Wouldn't this have been high on this list to teach us, this new day to keep the Sabbath. Yes, you can worship on Sunday, but the Sabbath is always, forever and ever the 7th day. It is such a blessing to keep, it is our engagement ring!

Its our engagement ring? what does that even mean? The day you accepted Jesus as Lord and savior you entered into the Sabbath rest of God...i.e. You don't have to work for your Salvation, you just have to believe and rest in Him. See Hebrews 4. If your keeping the physical sabbath your are working, because Sabbath keeping is law. Nothing that we do can earn our Salvation.

Scott Nelson, ***GOD wants to be worshipped HIS WAY no longer in an old covenant Jewish way and definately not in 35,000 and growing Protestant "man made" Golden Calf ways.*** BIBLICAL “FOREVER” COMMANDS OF WORSHIP Does your Church meet the “forever” historical link all the way back to Judaism when Jesus Christ died on the cross, and from that point on until this very day celebrate the fulfillment of these “forever” liturgical worship commands of GOD in their “perfected” NEW COVENANT FORM? 1. Passover Feast (Exodus 12:14, 24) Jesus during the “Last Supper” transformed the “forever” GOD commanded Passover by replacing the lamb with Himself in all the Gospel accounts. (Jesus is described as the “Lamb of GOD” in John 1:29, 1 Peter 1:19, and in 1 Corinthians 5:7 “Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us”) In the OT, everyone celebrating the Passover Feast was commanded by GOD to eat the meat of the lamb for death to “Passover”. Could a Hebrew or later practicing Jew only “symbolically” eat the lamb and obey GOD??? Jesus was being liturgically consistent with the original “forever” OT Passover commands to “eat the meat of the lamb” culminating in His “hard” teaching in John 6:53-54: “Truly, Truly, I say to you, UNLESS you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, YOU DO NOT HAVE LIFE IN YOU. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood HAS ETERNAL LIFE”. NEWPASSOVER(CCC#611,13391340) www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/the_paschal_mystery_how_jesus_celebrated_fulfilled_the_passover 2. Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16:30-33) CC has the altar and gives out the atoning blood provided by the “eternal” High Priest Jesus fulfilling Leviticus 17:11 “For the LIFE OF THE FLESH IS IN THE BLOOD, and I HAVE GIVEN IT FOR YOU UPON THE ALTAR TO MAKE ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOULS; for it is THE BLOOD THAT MAKES ATONEMENT, by REASON OF THE LIFE” (CCC 616,623) www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/jesus_and_the_day_of_atonement 3. Tabernacle Feast (Leviticus 23:41-42) CC has the Tabernacle and fulfills this feast within the Mass. (CCC #1183,1090) www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/tabernacles_old_testament_feast_and_eucharistic_fulfillment 4. Unleavened Bread Feast (Exodus 12:17) CC has “7 days” a week unleavened bread (CCC#1334) www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/the_mystery_of_the_feast_of_unleavened_bread5. Sanctuary Lamp (Exodus 27:20-21) CC has this burning constantly before the Tabernacle. 6. Tabernacle Candles (Leviticus 24:2-4) CC has special candles placed next to the Tabernacle as commanded (CCC #1154, 1189) 7. Tabernacle Bread of the Presence (Leviticus 24:5-9, Exodus 25:30) Jesus Christ becomes the true fulfilled “Bread of the Presence” during the Mass consecration. (CCC #1378) 8. Leviticus Priesthood (Exodus 29:7-9, Exodus 40:15, 1 Chronicles 23:13, *Numbers 25:12-13, *Jeremiah 33:14-22, *Isaiah 66:21, Malachi 2:4-7, Malachi 3:3) Jesus fulfills the Levi Covenant promise by ordaining and reconciling the 12 apostles (tribes) for priesthood in the Upper Room to “do this in remembrance of me” (CCC #611, 1337). Proof? John 13:1-20 Jesus prior to His passion washes and “purifies” the Apostles to prepare them for priestly altar work (fulfilling Malachi 3:3 and the “forever” priest washing in Exodus 30:21). Like OT “Forever” Feasts, a Leviticus form of priesthood has to preside at the altar of sacrifice, be washed, and ultimately has to abstain or be celibate to even touch the “Bread of the Presence” (CCC # 1541-2) Jesus is the “pure offering” presented by the priesthood through “daily” Mass across the world fulfilling Malachi 1:11 prophesy. 9. Priest Washing (Exodus 30:21) CC Priests complete a washing before consecration (CCC #1337) 10. Priestly Share (Numbers 18:22-23) CC Priests are the first partakers of the Holy Eucharist, and receive offerings to the Church (CCC #2043) 11. Animal Sacrifice (Leviticus 7:36-38; Deuteronomy 12:26-28, Exodus 29:42) Jesus is the described fulfillment “Lamb of GOD” (John 1:29 and 1 Corinthians 5:7) (CCC #608, 613) 12. Grain Offering (Leviticus 6:9-11; 23:13-14) CC has bread and wine offering from parishioners brought up to the priests and the altar. (CCC #1334, 1350) 13. Incense Burning (Exodus 30:8) CC Mass celebrate with incense on various occasions. (CCC #1154) 14. Sabbath - Mark 2:28, Matthew 12:8, Luke 6:5 “For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath”. The day our Risen Lord showed us what to do in Luke 24:13-35 and “how He was made known to them in the breaking of the bread”. The risen Jesus obeys His Heavenly Father's "perpetual" celebration command being on "the day after Sabbath" per Leviticus 23:11-14, Pentecost 15-21, and verse 39 Tabernacle Feast being the “First day” and “Eighth Day” which is one in the same SUNDAY or “First Day of the Week”. CC follows our Risen Lord’s lead with “breaking of bread” or celebrating the “forever” NEW COVENANT PASSOVER on Sundays. CC even fulfills Jesus’s “Our Father” prayer “give us this day our daily bread” (Jesus compared Himself to OT manna in John 6:31-35) by providing the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER “daily”. The Hebrew word “olam” or English translations “forever, everlasting, or perpetual” was clearly understood by the Jewish people as they still are “forever” obeying GOD’s liturgical commands and celebrating a form of the original Passover, Unleavened Bread, Day of Atonement, and Tabernacle Feasts to this very day. JESUS CHRIST IS THE NEW ADAM (Romans 5:12-21) making us part of the NEW CREATION ( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17, GALATIANS 6:15) to enter into the NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH of worship (Isaiah 66:18-23).NEW ADAM + NEW CREATION + NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH = NEW SABBATH (Pentecost is "forever" GOD commanded on what "day" in Leviticus 23:15 with a day of rest in verse 21??? Hebrews 4:7-9??? "HE AGAIN SETS A CERTAIN DAY ” AND “ GOD WOULD NOT SPEAK LATER OF ANOTHER DAY " ). So, if the Church was "born" on Pentecost through the "same day" the NEW ADAM was resurrected on, then what "day" would we get "reborn" (John 3:5) on to "LIVE in the "Spirit of the law" (Romans 8:2) being LOVE (John 13:34) of the NEW COVENANT???

Nina Kus, What else points to a "NEW SABBATH" besides the NEW ADAM (Romans 5:12-21) Jesus Christ, NEW COVENANT (Luke 22:19), NEW LAW (John 13:34) and Hebrews 4:7-9??? Acts 2:1. The Church (ONE BODY) was "born" on Pentecost being the "same day" the NEW ADAM Jesus Christ (ONE HEAD) was "reborn" on per Matthew 28:1. Leviticus 23:15-21. What "day" is Pentecost "forever" celebrated on with a "day of rest"??? Please list out FULLY Leviticus 23:15 and tell me what "day" that is???

I grew up in the church and don't recall hearing about the Sabbath I was told about it a few years ago. I too was sceptical. Prayed a lot about it , asked for him for confirmation , guidance. God is so good. I have no doubt the sabbath is an absolute blessing!!In this crazy world who wouldn't want to dedicate a day for him! one that he also sanctified. Our lives have been so blessed since we started really trusting in Gods word, our relationship with him. Read your bible, ask for HIS guidance, confirmation. It's a blessing

Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth ONE DAY above another: another esteemeth EVERY DAY alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth THE DAY, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not THE DAY, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. Now expound under the Light of all scripture! Firstly it was a letter to the church in ROME, where it was LAW to follow the Roman Julian Calendar. So a Roman man might esteem ONE DAY, another man might esteem EVERY DAY. But Paul wants the church in Rome to know that those who regard THE DAY that God has appointed, is regarding God, but those who do not regard THE DAY are not regarding God. Those who eat certain food and drinks for the Lord (like on on Passover) are also regarding the Lord, and those who don't eat anything (like on Day of Atonement), are FASTING exactly as the Lord has instructed in Lev 23. The same author also wrote this... Colossians 2:16 Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a Feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, BUT THE BODY THAT CASTS IT belongs to Christ. The same author also wrote this.... Ephesians 5:30 For WE ARE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY Now expound under the Light of all scripture! Knowing that the Roman authority and enemies of God will actively hunt you down (judge you) for eating certain foods and drinks on certain days - don't let any man judge you for obeying Gods instruction regarding eating certain food & drinks on Feast Days, for observing New Moon Days and Sabbath Days, because as MEMBERS OF HIS BODY, it is our duty to continue to cast these shadows as beacons of light to the world. The same author also wrote this... Acts 18:21 But bade them farewell, saying, I MUST BY ALL MEANS KEEP THIS FEAST that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus. Now expound under the Light of all scripture! Paul was no hypocrite like Peter at antioch. Paul was given THE GOSPEL by direct revelation from Jesus Christ Himself. Paul knew that it was his duty to observe Gods FEAST days according to THE GOSPEL. Paul was not taught this gospel by any man, except Jesus Himself. The same author also wrote this.... Galatians 4:8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. 9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. 11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. Now expound in the Light of scripture! Paul reminds the members of the church in Galatia that they once were unwitting slaves to demons, by observing days and months to those beings who were not really gods. But now that they had learned the TRUTH about the one true living God and the things that He requires of them, why would they go back to slavery to demons by observing those days again? In fact Paul was so distressed by this activity, because he was afraid of what might happen to them - so it is VERY VERY IMPORTANT TO BELIEVERS! Today modern christians have also fallen away under the same great apostasy, by observing days that have not been appointed by God. People worship demons when they observe Saint Valentines Day, Saint Patricks Day, October Fest, Christmas Day, Easter, Halloween Day, etc.... Worship demons you say? Yes, when we observe any day to anyone except God then that entity is the one whom we worship, and this is specifically warned against in scripture. What christian would knowingly worship a demon? Perhaps none, but virtually everyone if it is a DECEPTION. Remember how Eve was deceived? In fact here again is the warning by John in Revelation 9:20 And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues did not even repent of the works of their hands SO THAT THEY WILL NOT WORSHIP THE DEMONS, and the golden and silver and bronze and stone and wooden idols, which are able neither to see, nor to hear, nor to walk. And so now to Hebrews 4 1 Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it. 2 For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it. 3 Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said:“So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’ ” Now expound in the Light of all scripture! When we receive the GOOD NEWS that God will forgive us our sins, if we repent of them, and BELIEVE by showing that BELIEF by obeying His Commandments, then we enter that rest as described in the 4th Commandment. Those who hear and don't truly believe, well they don't bother to enter Gods Sabbath Day of rest. In fact the very first sentence warns that we should not fall short of entering His appointed rest days (Holy Convocations). 6 Since, then, it remains for some to enter His rest, and since those who formerly heard the good news did not enter because of their disobedience, 7 God again designated a certain day as “Today,” when a long time later He spoke through David as was just stated: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience. Now expound in the Light of all scripture! The same day of REST remains until this very day, and some who are still unbelievers fail to enter that rest through disobedience. In Joshua Chapter 24, Joshua reminded the Hebrews who had escaped Egypt of the history of DISOBEDIENCE to Gods Laws, and asked then to renew their vows to OBEY GODS LAWS, and so it was written in the book of Law and placed under the Oak tree on a large stone as a witness against the Hebrews should they turn away from Gods Law and worship other gods on other days, as they had done so in the past back in Egypt. So then we are reminded that it is still Gods Law that we enter into His appointed Sabbath days of rest, so that we imitate God in all things that we do. We are further encouraged to continue to enter into Gods Sabbath Day of rest, so that we do not set an example of DISOBEDIENCE. The days that God has appointed should be very very important to every single person who is a TRUE BELIEVER! In fact it was Jesus who reminded the Disciples at the last supper on Passover, that they should continue to do these things in remembrance of Him. And again it was Jesus who before His ascension into heaven, reminded all of the Disciples the importance of keeping the Day of Pentecost, because that was the day that the Father had PROMISED to send the Holy Spirit. In fact Acts 2 stands as a testimony against anyone who dares to say that the 4th Commandment is no longer valid, or that the Feast Days are no longer important. Now to continue to observe Pentecost, we must first know how to count Sabbaths - 7 of them, according to Lev 23. Before that, we need to know when Firstfruits occurs, and prior to that we need to know when Feast of Unleavened Bread begins, and before that when Passover falls, and before that when the New Moon Day occurs that announces the beginning of a New Year once sufficient Barley would be at a stage of ripeness to call a New Year without having to add another month of Adar 2. What beggars belief, is that supposed christians think that it's ok to completely ignore Gods Calendar of Gen 1:14, and think it's ok to substitute man made calendar from ancient pagan Rome who served demons, even naming some days and months after demons. To even mention those names or have them heard from our lips is an offense to God according to Josh 23:7 & Exodus 23:13. Yet yt preacher after yt christian apologist, is willingly blind to the truth that Gods Calendar is Luni-Solar, and has New Moon Days, Sabbath Days, working Days and Feast Days. It beggars belief that supposed christians cannot see Eze 46:1-3, then Isaiah 66:22-23, and think that somehow it's ok to forget all about this for the in-between time??? But there is a simply reason why Jesus said that the way to Eternal Life is narrow and the gate small, and few that walk that way. And it's because most false teachers, preachers, and yt apologists are willingly ignorant of the truth concerning Created time, and how the Creator instructed us to look up and observe the TIME according to His calendar that He placed into the heaven above. As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord - not your privately interpreted false gospel , nor SDA, nor JW's, nor Baptists, nor AOG, nor Pentecostals, nor Calvinists, nor Dispensationalists, nor anyone except Gods Word!

Believe in Jesus and keep the Commandments. [Rev 12:17, Rev 14:12] Very simple. Paul's writings have been grossly misunderstood (as Peter warned about this).
@jamessremos
@jamessremos Ай бұрын
Paul speaks pretty plainly about this very issue...being Apostle to the gentiles, he dealt with it the most. He withstood Peter (GALATIANS 2) over this very issue, calling it bondage (gal2:4)...and Peter and Paul were both among the council at Jerusalem Acts15 when they decided AGAINST laying this very burden upon the gentile believers. People of this belief tend to place it at the forefront and you hear little of Christ or the gospel of grace (observation) but the trend is also to avoid, ignore, or discount Paul (the very Apostle who dealt with it the most by reason of his ministry to the gentiles in particular). Paul never contradicts Christ, but merely explains that since man can never keep the law perfectly, it condemns us, therefore Christ came to fulfill God's Law on our behalf so that we obtain God's righteousness by faith in his work and not our own. God gets all the glory, man gets eternal life in Fellowship with God that we could never have by our failed attempts (all have sinned) to keep God's Law -peace

elisa bailey Do you know that it is not tithe singular, it's tithes plural in the OT. Plus they never offered money they offered livestock and grain. Also we have to learn how to RIGHTLY DIVIDE The Word Of God, and read in CONTEXT. The book of Malachi was written to the Jews not Gentiles. The Old Testament was to the Jews, but we can also learn from the lessons that are taught through it. It doesn't mean that we have to go and slaughter animals, or burn grain any more. Wrong. Jesus said, "I did not come to ABOLISH the law, I came to fulfill it." If the Torah was good enough for Jesus and his disciples, than it's good enough for us! The Torah is the loving instructions of God. ... it is not burdensome! It's beautiful. Read Psalm 119. Oh, wait, I guess you don't read the "old testament".... so sad!

Sunday “Sabbaths” in the Old Testament were days of labor bring the first fruits. They were not set aside as days of rest like the 7th day was.

@biblicalanswers1019 HE is referring to the ten commandments. If Jesus himself said to keep the commandments, it's probably how to see paradise, and not be the subject of 1John 2:3-4. Mt. 19:17, 22:36-40 All the law, is the ten commandments. The same that not one tittle will pass away until heaven and earth pass. All the way to the very end of the Bible. Not just salvation, but blessed sainthood for those who keep the commandments of God. R. 14:12, 22:14.

The Apostle points out that the things he writes are THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD (1 Corinthians 14:37). One such command is the imperative which instructs true Christians to disallow anyone from judging them regarding the Sabbaths (Colossians 2:16). Now that the Sabbath given exclusively to the nation of Israel in the desert as the sign of the Old Covenant has become obsolete (Exodus 31 17; Ezekiel 20:12, Hebrews 8:13), the Sabbaths are in no way binding upon believers under the New Covenant. And for the simple reason that these were mere shadows of the coming Saviour (Colossians 2:17). But now that The SUN of Righteousness has come (Malachi 4:2) the dark shadowy laws have been forever dispelled (Galatians 3:24-25; Galatians 4:4) So obey the Lord's command also by the Apostle now, who will have no Christian "judged" by sinful men regarding his liberty in Christ. (Colossians 2:16; Galatians 5:1). And did not Jesus command his Apostle's to TEACH ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER HE COMMANDED? (Matthew 28:20) If therefore a return to Old Covenant Sabbatarian observances was correct and appropriate, why is it that when we read THE EPISTLES, not one single Apostle teaches the Church to be keeping the Sabbaths! Would that not reflect a very poor record on the part of the Apostles ? And how is it that you are so very much more zealous of teaching new covenant sabbath observances when the apostles simply failed to do so? Are you wiser now and more spiritual or more of a prophet than the Lord's Apostles ? No, I don't think so.... "If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, LET HIM ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE THINGS THAT I WRITE unto you ARE THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD." (1 Corinthians 14:37) So If you love Christ, maybe consider keeping his commandment by the Apostle here (Col. 2:16).

Matthew 24:20 "But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day" Jesus is talking future tense here. Why would fleeing on the Sabbath day be a problem? I'll tell you why: It's because the seventh day is the Sabbath until heaven and earth pass away. Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the "commandments" of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Daryl Sparks We have to remeber that Matthew was written with jewish thinking. It was set in a pre cross time and jews where still under law. Sabbath has to do with ceasing from work. Sabbath is not mean trying to focus on a day like Saturday or Sunday as a day off, but eternal life in Christ. The 7th day of creation has to do with eternal ceasing from labour. The Lord is the Lord of the ceasing from work (sabboth) because we are saved by grace through faith, not of works lest any man boast.

Nigels Postbag The whole Bible was written with Jewish thinking from Genesis to Revelation. Christianity was birthed out of Judaism. Jesus freed us from the death penalty of the law on the cross, but He did not give you a license to sin. What is sin? Sin is the transgression of the law.

Hi Thanks for your reply. We indeed are not to live in sin (lawlessness) But lets consider. How did Jesus fulfill the Law? He gave His life and was raised from the dead conquering sin and death. Those believing in Him have eternal life and are new creations (having been born of God) Christians walk by faith under the Law of grace laying down their lives following Jesus' example, taking up our cross and dying daily. So in effect we are under the law of Christ by the work of the Holy Spirit. We also read Romans 3:20,28 ; Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15

Nigels Postbag Even in the old testament, no one could keep all of the law, but God still did show grace then by making a means of atonement in terms of the sin offering. God's people were expected to obey God then, and we still are. It is the only way we get to show how much we love him. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Do you just expect to give him lip service but not surrender your heart? If your heart is surrendered, what would be the evidence thereof if you will not actually demonstrate it? Besides, his laws are for our good. I agreed with Chris Rosebrough on one thing, Jesus' laws are actually harder. The only thing is that they are all established in Torah to begin with, so there is no getting around obedience to YAH, however way one tries to avoid it. "if you love me, keep my commandments." Yeah, no way around it.

Daryl Sparks Amen. All who come to Christ are taught by the Father (YHWH). Jhn 6:45 “It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.'fn Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me. What else would God be teaching us, if not his righteous judgments and precepts? Song of Moses and the Lamb: Rev 15:3-4 speaks of the Almighty God's righteous judgments. Besides why would Jesus ask those who call him "Lord" and do not follow his doctrine to depart from him or that he never knew them? Because he says that they are workers of lawlessness/iniquity, aka those who disregard Torah. Why? Because his doctrines are established in and from Torah. "love one another" is love thy neighbor as yourself.

The law is still the same and the covenant was new by the fact that God would put his law on their minds and heart ( Jeremiah 31:31-34). Does it get more clear than (Matthew 5:17-18). If your still on earth than the laws are the same? Does one steal, does one lie, does one commit adultery? I'm truly confused on what the argument is about, because anything outside of God's law is honestly giving atheism a valid point. If their is no moral law or laws change with time then why bother with a changing God from one book to the next. You see, so the laws have to be binding.

SABBATH TRUTHS AND HERESIES 1. The sabbath is part of the Old (Deut. 4:13) Covenant. 2. The sabbath is part of the old broken (Deut. 31:16, Is. 24:5, Rom. 3;23, 1 John 1:8&10) covenant. 3. The sabbath is part of the cast out (Gal. 4:20-31) covenant. 4. The sabbath is part of the vanishing (Heb. 8:1-13) covenant. 5. The sabbath is also the sign (Ex. 31:16-17) of the Old Covenant between God and Israel and thus can't be included in the New Covenant. 6. The Old Covenant is not made with christians (Deut. 5:2-3). 7. Christians are in the New (Jer. 31:31-34, Heb. 7-8) Covenant. 8. Christians are in a better (Heb.7:22-8:6) covenant. 9. Christians have a new sabbath rest (Mat. 11:28-12:4) 10. Christians have a better sabbath rest (Mat. 11:28, Heb. 4:8-10) that we enter the day we hear the gospel or believe (Heb. 3:10, 4:3). 11. The sabbath is part of the ministration of death according to 2 Cor. 3, and that is why christians cant be under the law, sabbath included. 12. The sabbath was a Jewish ceremonial law that pointed to the Lord Jesus Christ, and has nothing to do with the gospel and the gentiles (see Numbers 28:9,10; Colossians 2:16,17). 13. Christians met on the first day of the week since the first century because of the resurrection (see 1 Corinthians 16:2; Acts 20:7). True believers know that there is no sabbath commandment imposed by Christ upon his followers. Furthermore, Christians that meet on the first day of the week are not "Sunday keepers." 14. Jesus rose from the dead on the first day of the week which is commemorated on Easter Sunday, that Lordly day called the Lord's Day (see Revelation 1:10). The first day of the week has also been called the Lord's Day because of that event. 15. There is liberty in Christ concerning days as noted in Romans 14:5,6. These scriptures are in harmony with the fact that the Lord Jesus gave NO commandment to keep either Saturday or Sunday. The sabbath was ceremonial as noted in Numbers 28:9,10; Colossians 2:16,17 16. Trying to keep the sabbath day is living under the abolished Old Covenant, staring down the New Testament, and stepping on the grace of Christ. 17. Hebrews 4:3 tells us that it is a rest of FAITH, therefore it's not the keeping of a day. The book of Hebrews is talking about the rest in Christ's salvation. Jewish Christians are warned to not go back to Judaism and not leave Christ (backslide or apostatize). Trying to keep the sabbath day as a moral obligation, for example, is lapsing back to Judaism and putting oneself under the law. Returning to Judaism is described as going back to perdition because only Jesus saves, not the Old Testament system. He is "the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him (Hebrews 5:9)." 18. In the KJV, the word "sabbath' isn't even mentioned in the book of Hebrews as well as the rest of the New Testament after the book of Acts except for Colossians 2:16, where the apostle Paul warns Christians about judgmental sabbath keepers. 19. The sabbath is an abrogated Hebrew ritual law that pointed to Christ as noted in Colossians 2:16,17, and has NOTHING to do with the gospel and the gentiles. Paul did not write a New Testament letter to the sabbath keepers of the synagogues. 20. The Lord commanded to REMEMBER LOT'S WIFE, not the sabbath day. 21. The synagogue sabbath keepers, "the Jews who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us, and they please not God... (1 Thessalonians 2:14,15)." Sabbath keepers murdered Stephen in Acts chapter 7, and stoned Paul in Acts chapter 14. Trying to keep the sabbath day seems to have turned some people into proud pharisee types, thinking that they're better than the ones who don't, and possibly regard it as a ticket to heaven. 22. The commandments of God in the New Testament are the Commandments of Christ of which the sabbath day is EXCLUDED. The commandments of God mentioned in the Book of Revelation are the COMMANDMENTS OF CHRIST, and there's a lot more than ten in the New Testament. For example, Jesus commanded to REMEMBER LOT'S WIFE, not keep the sabbath day. Sabbath keepers mistakenly say the commandments of God in the New Testament are the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament law. It seems this is done in order to ensure the keeping of the sabbath day is a moral obligation just as they were told by their prophetess. 23. The prophecy of sabbath removal: "I will also cause...to cease...her new moons, and her sabbaths...(Hosea 2:11)." This is a prophecy of the ultimate removal of the sabbath day as indicated by the apostle Paul in Colossians 2:15-17 who used some of the exact terminology of Hosea 2:11 to describe how "the sabbath" etc. had been taken out of the way, Jesus our Lord "nailing to his cross." OTHER FALSE DOCTRINES OR HERESIES: Soul sleeping (see 1 Samuel 28:11-20; Luke 16-19-22, 20:38; Hebrews 12:23; James 2:26; 2 Corinthians 5:8; 1 Thessalonians 4:14; Revelation 15:8; Acts 7:56-59; Luke 23:43; 2 Timothy 1:10 etc. Forbidding to... abstain from meats ( 1 Timothy 4:3 )." Jesus ate fish and lamb. What goes into the mouth does not enter the heart (see Luke 7:18, 19). "The kingdom of God is not meat or drink... (Romans 14:17)." "Abstain from...things strangled and from blood (Acts 15:20)." Investigative judgment, no hell annihilation, Jesus is Michael the archangel, Sunday law mark of the beast, Saturday is the Lord's Day, the United States is the beast of Revelation 13:11. America is actually the Great Eagle in Revelation 12:14. Adventists are not the remnant mentioned in this verse. The false claim that the sabbath is the heart of the moral law (see Romans 13:10). Jesus would have had to command sunday observance prior to His death on the cross. but He did not. neither did God. only GOD?JESUS have the authority to do away with the Sabbath and command the sunday or no day...but they NEVER did so. we ought to obey GOD rather than men. sunday is a law of men, not God.

Jesus picked grain on the Sabbath; he healed on the Sabbath. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. Jesus said 'my Father is working [on the Sabbath] and I too am working. Jesus said "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath'. If God was not working on the Sabbath (and every other day) the entire universe would collapse. The entire Sabbath debate is an excuse for religious zealots trying to establish their own righteousness to persecute those who exercise their freedom in Christ, not freedom to sin, but freedom to live by the sanctifying power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.I did not see Jim Staley (whoever he is) own Chris Rosebrough in that video, although it was clearly cut short at the critical moment. Chris could have answered better, but it's probably a bit hard to respond quickly and accurately in the face of a scripted, relentless attack, not unlike that of the Pharisees who were continually attacking Jesus in the same way.

Markus You say the Father is working, yes God is working for the establishment of His Kingdom through Christ, this shows us that on the sabbath whe can do work for the Kingdom of God like preaching or visiting the sick but not secular work of which it only is about the money you earn, Jesus picked a grain but i he really wanted to demonstrate that we could work on the sabbath then he would just take sack full of grain and go somewhere to bake a bread or he just would but Himself one. The reason he picked a grain was to show us that the Pharisees lived by man made laws of which they thought that they would be saved by but are actually lost.

The remnant in Revelation 12:17 are Christians in non-Christian lands who would experience persecution and or martyrdom outside the United States, the Land of the Great Eagle. Adventists are not the remnant mentioned in this verse. The false claim that the sabbath is the heart of the moral law (see Romans 13:10). The false claim that the sabbath is the seal of God (see Ephesians 1:13).

Matthew 12 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat. 2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. 3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; 4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? 5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? 6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. 7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have Mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. 8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

May this message richly bless you and yours as it has bless me. Many profess believers of Jesus Christ believe that the fourth commandment to keep the Sabbath holy was nailed to the cross and that we no longer have to keep it, while still embracing the other nine commands. Do you believe this too? The Bible says in revelation 22:14, “ Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Ask yourself this question: which one or ones of the following Ten Commandments do Jesus wants us to keep and obey? 1. Thou shalt not have no other gods before me. 2. Thou shalt not make or bow down to graven image. 3. Thou shalt not take the name of God in vain. 4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. 5. Honor thy father and thy mother. 6. Thou shalt not kill. 7. Thou shalt not commit adultery. 8. Thou shalt not steal. 9. Thou shalt not bear false witness. 10. Thou shalt not covet. Answer_________________ The Sabbath command is not only to be kept but it is to be calculated by the Time/calendar God ordained in the beginning of creation, Genesis 1:14. The sun, moon and stars are God’s True Time/calendar not that famous Gregorian calendar hanging on our walls in our houses. This split in God’s law must be repaired!! All of God’s laws, statutes, judgments and testimonies are just and true! We must do things God’s way or else we will be worshipping him in vain. There will be no good reward. God may allow the people that rules this world to enforce some type of Sabbath law to test people to see if they will keep His law or no. Already, there are Sabbath laws/blue laws/Sunday laws on government books today. Friday is not the true Sabbath. Saturday is not the true Sabbath. Sunday is not the true Sabbath, etc., because they are calculated by man’s time/calendars. The true Sabbath is calculated by the sun, moon and stars. So, do your research on what you have read in this letter. This information is helpful both now and future because we need to get back to God’s ways and if God should allow man to enforce a “Sabbath Test.” If such a test is allowed, may we choose wisely. Let us seriously repent of our evil ways, stop worshiping other gods, talking about one another, stealing, killing, lying, fornicating, adultery, disobedient to parents, etc., etc., etc. Let us seek God, read our bibles, memorize His commandments and do them, For God’s Kingdom is coming!! Repent! Repent! Repent! Worship Him that made heaven, earth and sea. This Babylonian system is falling, the Powers in charge are aware of this fact but they cannot stop it. Their time is coming to an end! Our time is coming to an end! If any worship the beast and his image and receive his mark, the same shall have no rest day or night and they shall be burnt with fire and brimstone. Revelation 13 and 14. Deuteronomy 5 Isaiah 58:12-14. Also, research the “Seven Noahide Laws.” I have heard that these are Jewish laws taken from their book, “Talmud.” The first law forbids idolatry and according to Jewish writings, to believe in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, is idolatry and is punishable by death, decapitation. I have also heard that some of the USA presidents have signed this law under “Education.” and it is planned to be unleashed on all nations in the future. So, Research and see if these things be truth. May The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you that believe.

Among the other “lights” God commanded into being on day four of creation, He set the sun and moon in the “vault of the sky” as the two prominent sources of light for Earth. During the day, the sun provides light and heat to the earth, while the moon reflects light from the sun to illuminate the darkness of night. If the answer is man then please state where Christ gives authority to man to do so? If the answer is God and ONLY God , then despite what you think the apostle Paul says about whether the Sabbath is abolished or not will be irrelevant. Despite whether 1st Century Christians observed Sunday worship instead of Sabbath will become TOTALLY IRRELEVANT. Your entire decision on whether the 7th Day Sabbath still remains is dependent on whether man has the authority to change the laws of God. Nothing else matters other than this one question. Everything else are just details.

BloodOfYeshuaMessiah Paul doesn't change anything, he simply enlightens us as to what was changed by Christ. He tells the true believers that they "died to the law through the body of Christ". Did Jesus have to spell it out for us? NO. He told the disciples that he had much more to tell them that they couldn't yet handle and that the Holy Spirit would come later and guide them into all truth. Since it is the Holy Spirit Himself that guided the writing of Paul, we can believe him when he writes...... The Sabbath law says that behavior that is perfectly acceptable one day is forbidden the next, merely because it is a different day of the week. But God’s morality does not change with the days of the week. If it is moral one day, it is moral on all others. God has the right to require different things on different days, but this would be a ceremonial law, not a law about what is moral all the time.

*** 1A2 The Old Testament gives us TWO lists of the Ten Commandments - one in the Book of Exodus and another list in the Book of Deuteronomy. The Book of Exodus tells us the purpose of the Sabbath is to rest and remember creation, the Book of Deuteronomy tells us the purpose of the Sabbath is to remember the Exodus - that is - the Exodus from slavery to Pharaoh in Egypt. Christ's Resurrection on the First Day of the week brings about a New Creation and the New Covenant Exodus from sin and death.

I have to disagree with Chris. Jim asked him, "Who was the new covenant given too?" And Chris says, "The whole world." Doesnt Jeremiah 31:31 say that the new covenant would be made with the House of Israel, and the House of Judah?? The new covenant is not made with the whole world. Chris' theology is way off on this one. He lost the debate, but its not really a surprise to me, because the Sabbath should never be up for debate.

Slim to NONE...so they break the Sabbath just as the Israelites did in their day...they made excuses and such to go against that day of rest....they refused to accept God by Faith then they still do today...and It was established even in the OT.and isiah 28 explains it this way, Isaiah 28 : 11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.12 To whom he said, This is the rest ( Sabbath ) wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; ( Sabbath ) and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.......They would not listen then and do not today...and FYI WE are Grafted into the TREE ( Israel ) by the Blood of Jesus....that is how WE are Part of the NEW Covenant/Will / Testament

God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;18 Boast not against the branches. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. Luke 23:56 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. Acts 13:42 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. Acts 13:44 And He said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Mark 2:27 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. Mark 2:28 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Matthew 12:12 For He spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. Hebrews 4:4 For He that is entered into his rest, He also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Hebrews 4:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, He is guilty of all. James 2:10 For He that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. James 2:11 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. James 2:12 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, He being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James 1:25 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, He shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:3 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. 2 John 1:6 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Here is a question: do you follow the Sabbath according to a man made calendar? Because most of the world is following the Gregorian calendar, which starts the day at the international dateline set by a man and currently running through Samoa. which was recently reset in 2011. The true dateline runs through Canan when God said: This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. Thus the dateline was set by God, or should we follow the one set by a man which has changed multiple times. So technically the Sabbath should start in Jerusalem first then progress around the world, currently, it starts in Samoa and then progresses around the world. Which highlights the scripture: One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. It is not for me to judge you about what ever day you set apart to YHVH. The most important thing is unity that we come together in the Faith.

He lost because he said "he was grafted into Israel". But that is a lie. Isreal is also a branch, just like the gentiles are a branch. The trunk or vine of tree was Christ, so we are grafted into Christ, not israel. “👉I am the vine, 👉ye are the branches👈: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”- John 15:5(kjv) So Israel isnt the vine, they are also branches. If you say you're grafted into Isreal, then you make Israel the true vine, but Christ said i am the true Vine. “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.”- John 15:1(kjv) The scriptures must agree. Isreal was also a branch, an original branch, from that trunk or vine, which is Christ, the Word made flesh. They were taken off, as the scripture said. “Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.”- Romans 11:19(kjv) So some of Israel(the Jews/the branches) were broken off, off the vine(Christ), so that the the Gentiles could be grafted in, into the vine(Christ). “And if some of 👉the branches👈 be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;”- Romans 11:17(kjv) So its not about Israel, please fix this... it's about Christ. We are not grafted into Israel and are now Israelites, (as so many believe) we are Grafted into Christ, and are now Christians (or whatever u wanna call it), we are now apart of his body. Apart of the kingdom of God, the body of believers. We became that when we believed his word and... received of his Spirit. “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.”- 1Corinthians 12:12(kjv) “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”- 1Corinthians 12:13(kjv) The Jews were broken off when they rejected that word/his Spirit, “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: ...”- John 15:2(kjv) See?... Because they said we will not have this man(the Word) to rule over us. “But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.”- Luke 19:14(kjv) “And they cried out again, Crucify him.”- Mark 15:13(KJV) “Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:”- Romans 11:20(kjv) But when God is finish with the gentiles, and the gentile dispensation is over (the gentile age Rom 11:25/Luke 21:24), which is about to a happen, Christ will return to the Jews in the form of Two Prophets, and they will preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Israelites (the 14400) that are predistinated to accept that message, will then be grafted back into Christ(the true vine) again. “And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.”- Romans 11:23(kjv) So now Jews and Gentiles are to come into Christ, not Gentiles come into Jews, . What? Are we to serve Jews or Christ? and are Jews to serve themselves or Christ Jesus? We are not grafted into Judism, that doctrine is a false. Some fake law keepers trick you with that. They say "oh, we are grafted in, so we have to keep the law," (not saying that we shouldn't keep the law) But my question is always, "grafted into what?... not into Judaism, but into Christ." He is the Vine. Not israel. Isreal is a branch just like you. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”- John 15:5(kjv) So now that you know the truth, becareful not to disbelieve, “For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.”- Romans 11:21(kjv) It is not the olive tree of Isreal, but the olive tree of God. Christ was that olive tree. Olive oil means 'anointing', that's why they anointed the old testament priest and prophets with oil, because it represents being anointed by the Holy Spirit. And olive means 'anointed'. Tree means 'man'. Olive tree, means 'anointed one'. And Christ was that 'anointed one'. Remember these scriptures?... “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against 👉his anointed👈, saying,”- Psalms 2:2(kjv) “The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against 👉his Christ👈.”- Acts 4:26(kjv) “And 👉he shall be like a tree👈 planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; ...”- Psalms 1:3(kjv) See? And remember the 2 prophets?... of Revelation 11:10,4,3 Zechariah discribes them as 2 olive trees, 2 anointed ones. Zechariah 4:¹¹ Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? … ¹⁴ Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.(kjv)

3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude 1:3-4 It could also be the spirit of truth. Yes, Jesus did mean for those who follow him to be in one accord - but if a part of your body gets infected, that doesn't mean for the rest of the body to do nothing but 'show love' to the infected part. They'll just get infected right along with it.

The point is exposing false teachings which the Bible instructs us to do. The Sabbath is the 4th commandment and has never changed. Sunday is a pagan holy day and so it is blasphemous to place darkness for light. God has always been against Sun worship. Those who don't teach truth are not brothers in Christ but are imposters. If you read the bible at all you would know that you don't take everything at face value but are to test the spirits. The Bible warned us about wolves in sheep's clothing. Matthew 7:21-23 says many will say Lord Lord have we not done mighty deeds in your name and Jesus will reply that He never knew them. If Jesus never knew them then they were never His to begin with. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 says that Satan's servants masquerade as apostles of Christ. There were all kinds of false teachers back in Paul's day so how much more there are now as Jesus said that wickedness will increase. It is a shame what little most know of the bible who claim to follow it proving they are liars.

@@TLA-ml2lg How very foolish and blind is your reasoning here. I will judge you out of the very words which you have uttered. Have you never considered that SATURDAY (Saturn-day) is a pagan and godless day? Yet you live to worship on Saturn-day. Don't you get it? Worship on the Lord's Day does not equal worship on Ba'al Day (Sun-Day). And the obsolete Jewish weekly Sabbath dies not equate with worship of Satan / Saturn. What an ignorant and asinine and inconsistent argument you have. A complete double standard. And blinded, you cannot see that your own insistence on equation of the Lord's Day with The pagan sun god opens you to the same charge of worshipping Saturn by reason of the Saturday. It's a classic fallacy of logical reasoning. A kind of investing error No matter what.. But you are found to be a liar now (Proverbs 30:6). Have you never read Collosians 2:16, 17; Hebrews 8:13 or Hebrews 10:1? The former sign of the Old Covenant, given exclusively to Israel and Israel alone is now OBSOLETE (Ezekiel 20:11-14; Hebrews 8:13). The former Shadows have forever served their purpose being fulfilled by the one who was long casting shadows of good things to come for the 1500 years between Moses and Christ. And now that Christ the Sun of Righteousness has come and has dispelled the shadows under that Old, abolished Covenant (Malachi 4:2; Hebrews 8:13; Hebrews 10:1) we do not go back to lurk in the darkness of the shadows any longer NOR are we permitted to allow ANYONE to judge us concerning our newfound liberty in Christ (Colossians 2:16, 17). Had you understood true Christian liberty you should have known that the keeping of any days, whether Saturn Day or Sun Day or any other day is not a moral obligation in the new covenant (Romans 14:5). The Sun Day is no more binding than the Saturn Day. But the regular , orderly assembling of Christians , just as the holy Convocations of old is the only remaining moral aspect of the 3rd commandment now (Leviticus 23:3; Hebrews 10:25) But the keeping of days has no relevance today under the new covenant but , having served their purpose now, are rather detrimental (Galatians 4:9-11). The Apostle warns that the thing he teaches are the COMMANDMENTS of the Lord now (1 Corinthians 14:37) And one such command is the Greek imperative which commands us to reject all those who would judge our freedom regarding the imposition of the obsolete sabbath days now (Colossians 2:16, 17; Hebrews 8:13) Ironically, this means that true obedience consists in actually submitting ourselves to apostolic doctrine now (Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 14:37) . And this means no longer heeding the doctrines of judaizing men..

ADVENTISM OR THE TEMPLE OF DOOM God sanctified the first day of the week when Jesus rose from the dead, and calling that day the Lord's Day (Revelation 1: 10). There's no New Testament commandment to keep either Saturday or Sunday. There's liberty in Christ concerning days according to Romans 14:5,6. Inserting the sabbath' commandment into the New Covenant without the authorization of the Lord Jesus Christ is another example of adventists wresting the scriptures, preferring to follow a dead false prophet instead of the terms of the New Testament based on the words of Christ.

The observance of Torah, including Shabbat, has been debated because of the grafting in and inclusion of Gentiles (referred to as wild branches) into the vine of Messiah Yeshua along with the natural branches of the Israelites. As long as the apostles, including Rabbi Shaul (aka the apostle Paul) who were Jewish were around, specific issues as applied to the Gentiles could be resolved. For example, the Gentiles were not required to be circumcised in order to be saved because salvation was by grace through faith alone in the work of Messiah Yeshua without any works of the flesh. Of course, let's remember that the same rule for salvation applied to the Israelite and to the Samaritan. However, once the apostles died and the fellowship of believing disciples (aka the church) became predominantly Gentile, the anti-Semitic movement prevalent in the Roman Empire infiltrated the church. The church fathers who came from pagan Roman backgrounds and who claimed to follow the apostles' teaching cursed anything Jewish and moved to outlaw anything Jewish from the church. The observance of Shabbat on the 7th day of the week was banned and there was severe punishment if this edict was not followed. Although the church has survived, its testimony has been damaged by its anti-Semitic traditions of men, such as the commandment to observe Sabbath as the first day of the week, Christmas to replace Hanukkhah, and Easter to replace Passover. Yeshua and His apostles observed Shabbat on the 7th day of the week, the feast of dedication known today as Hanukkhah, and Passover. The first day Sabbath, Christmas and Easter were concerted efforts by anti-Semitic Gentile church leaders to justify their racist hatred of anything Jewish by abolishing the Jewish observances of Shabbat, Hanukkah and Passover.

Romans 14:5-6 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

The truth of God always furthers His kingdom. We are instructed to expose false teachings and traditions. God never sanctified Sunday. This is not Christian versus Christian but truth versus lies. If you can't understand that then you are a lost cause and a hypocrite sold out to the system of this world.

@TLA-ml2lg Everything Jesus did was an act of Sanctification - Jesus overcame sin and death - by his resurrection - on the First Day of the Week - thereby achieving your salvation - the idea that this is not an act of Sanctification is not Biblical. God said in Day One of Creation "Let there be light", in fact, in the Hebrew the word God uses is "Let light be." The word "light" here in Hebrew is a different Hebrew word for light when God uses the word for light in regard to the sun and moon and stars. In other words God uses a different Hebrew word for the light which comes from created objects such as the stars, the moon and the sun - but the Hebrew word for light when God says "Let light be" means an uncreated light, it means the LIGHT which is God Himself. God IS LIGHT - and John's Gospel tells us that, "In the beginning" was the WORD and the WORD is the "LIGHT OF THE WORLD" - Jesus Christ IS the LIGHT OF THE WORLD - the LIGHT which came into the world born of Mary - Christ is the LIGHT which overcame the darkness of sin and death. What God tells us in the Book of Genesis is that the First Day of the Week - the First Day of Creation - is Day of the Light the World - and Jesus Christ is the LIGHT of that First Day of Creation. God is saying, Let the light which is the light of God, the light of Christ, shine forth - that is what the Hebrew words mean. God has always declared from the Begining that the First Day of the Week is The Day of the Light of Christ. God created every day of the week. The week belongs to God - not the devil. God did not create the first day of the week for the devil. God created every day for Himself. The first day of creation belongs to God because He made it. It was the day on which God said "Let there be light." So Day One of creation - Sunday - already belongs to Christ - God the Father already makes the First Day of Creation be the Day of the Light of Christ. The First Day always belonged to Christ - never the devil.

"For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements: 29 that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality." - Acts 15 :28-29 ESV "Now even the first covenant had regulations for worship and an earthly place of holiness. 2 For a tent[a] was prepared, the first section, in which were the lampstand and the table and the bread of the Presence.[b] It is called the Holy Place. 3 Behind the second curtain was a second section[c] called the Most Holy Place, 4 having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron's staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant. 5 Above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail. 6 These preparations having thus been made, the priests go regularly into the first section, performing their ritual duties, 7 but into the second only the high priest goes, and he but once a year, and not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people. 8 By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the holy places is not yet opened as long as the first section is still standing 9 (which is symbolic for the present age).[d] According to this arrangement, gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper, 10 but deal only with food and drink and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until the time of reformation. Redemption Through the Blood of Christ 11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come,[e] then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) 12 he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify[f] for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our[g] conscience from dead works to serve the living God. 15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.[h] 16 For where a will is involved, the death of the one who made it must be established. 17 For a will takes effect only at death, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive. 18 Therefore not even the first covenant was inaugurated without blood. 19 For when every commandment of the law had been declared by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant that God commanded for you.” 21 And in the same way he sprinkled with the blood both the tent and all the vessels used in worship. 22 Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. 23 Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. 25 Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own, 26 for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him." - Heb 9

What if I believe the Sabbath still remains, but don't believe it is for only Saturday or Sunday? What if I believe the Sabbath is a place we enter into? Hebrews 4:9-11 I beleive the sabbath is spiritually resting from working our way to heaven, and resting in the finish work of Christ. Jesus said, come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, for I will give you REST. Matthew 11:28 I beleive the sabbath in the old testament was a representation, a reminder, a foreshadow of a promise to come, and Christ is that fulfilled. Colossians 2:16-17 Matthew 5:17 I believe the law was a babysitters rule book to a disobedient child. There is a time when we should grow with the spirit and understand what the rule was trying to show us. Galations 3:24-25 Think of some rules your parents gave you as a child. Do you still follow them as an adult? 10pm curfew, dont get up from the table, eat your peas and carrots. All good rules to live by but we understand as adults there is a bigger meaning behind these rules. Curfew is to keep yourself from trouble, sitting at the table is to be respectful, and peas and carrots are healthy, so take care of your body. So the law/rules are still good but we are no longer under them. We are called to maturity Hebrews 6:1 The sabbath is one of these laws/rules. In maturity what is it calling us into? Think of the sermon on the mount. Matthew 5:21-48 all the laws have a higher calling and so it is with the sabbath. I beleive the sabbath is a gift, eternally in heaven and on earth, commanded of us to keep, those who keep it are blessed. Amen to them all. I beleive if someone feels Saturday or Sunday is a special day they want to keep for the Lord, we should let them and not make it a big issue. Romans 14:5-6 I beleive people who do not work Saturdays or sundays are both my brothers and sister. I Love the Sabbath and want everyone to keep it and have its full blessing. Please be like the Bereans and examine if what I beleive lines up to the scripture.

Greg Hamilton God blessed, sanctified and made 1 day out of the 7 hallowed. For the Children of God there is no debate, there is no misunderstanding we keep all Gods 10 commandments including the Sabbath. Ezekiel reveals in chapter 20, verse 20 "And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God." Children of God know him, and they know Jesus for they could not know Jesus if they didn't know God. For it is God who gives unto Jesus the things that belong to him, and children of God belong to Jesus because we know God. Jesus came so those who could see would be blinded, and those that where blinded would see. Pray to Jesus Christ of Nazareth ask him to reveal to you why you are blind.

You know, I too for 30+ years proclaimed to be a true Christian and NOT once realizing how badly I had been caught up in the "doctrines of men" that Christ Jesus warned us about so long ago, and I too fell for that whole pagan Christmas/Easter holiday BS not wishing to let go! I too looked for every excuse in the book to NOT obey/keep the Sabbath by using the same "false doctrines of men" that ALL Christian use today. And then one day about 5 years ago my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ truly opened my eyes and my heart to the TRUTH and I have not been the same since! For about 5 years now I no longer make claim to being a Christian, as I do not wish to be associated with phony believers and so-called followers who in truth DO NOT believe or follow the very laws set down by Jesus Christ. What did Jesus tell the rich man who came up to Him asking how he too could be saved? Mark 10:17-21. Jesus reminds him to obey the "COMMANDMENTS" and then basically tells him to give up all of his riches, pick up his cross and follow Jesus and he will have eternal life & riches in heaven. But, the man did not want to give up his riches AND, he was already obeying the "SABBATH" as part of the Commandments, so he walked away NOT saved because of his love for wealth. Jesus Himself kept/obeyed the Sabbath, His apostles kept/obeyed the Sabbath, Jesus kept/obeyed the Sabbath after His resurrection and Paul kept/obeyed the Sabbath long after Christ Jesus ascended into Heaven to be with the Father YHWH so why should we NOT keep/obey the Sabbath today? Simply because the Satanic Roman Catholic church said we didn't have to obey the Sabbath anymore and people, including today's professing Christians... still believe and obey that SATANIC LIE, plain & simple!!!

This is very simple: "Pastor" Staley needs to read Galatians. I am very familiar with his teachings and it is very clear he is a modern day Judiazer. Crystal clear. On a further note, Staley needs to debate someone qualified. Just because this man stumbled and didn't have an adequate answer or was caught off guard, does NOT mean that someone more qualified would put Staley in his place. There are those who certainly would. This is why Staley ONLY debates those who are not evangelical scholars. Staley does not understand God's grace. It is crystal clear.

+Aym2 Equip and who the Israel was? it was a Multitude of nations (Ex.12,38 , Joshua 8) In Romans 11 we see that the Olive Tree is The Assembly of God. in the Old KJV Acts 7,38 says that: MOSES WAS IN THE CHURCH IN THE WILDERNESS !!! Moses in the church? Yes, because the word EKKLESIA appears in many places in the OT. Israel is EKKLESIA (assembly, church) The point is- ISRAEL is Ekklesia, the Ekklesia is Israel. The word CHURCH is being used in a manipulative way. If one translates EKKLESIA as CHURCH, one should keep it the same way through the entire Bible- both in the OT and NT. Even in the NT when the word EKKLESIA is associated with a pagan temple it is translated into ASSEMBLY but few verses later the same EKKLESIA will be translated into CHURCH in the context of Jesus or His disciples.. This is evil manipulation.

Shocking Lutheran Church Statements Martin Luther, the prominent reformation leader and the instigator of the protestant movement, rejected the Catholic claim that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday. He goes as far as to say the Catholic Church’s power is so great they dispensed of the Sabbath day. It truly is paradoxical why Martin Luther continued to follow the mother Church in this grievous error, after making this intriguing comment: "They [the Catholics] allege the Sabbath changed into Sunday, the Lord’s day, contrary to the Decalogue (10 commandments), as it appears, neither is there any example more boasted of than the changing of the Sabbath day. Great, say they, is the power and authority of the church, since it dispensed with one of the Ten Commandments." -Augsburg Confession of Faith, Art. 28, par. 9. "The Christians in the ancient church very soon distinguished the first day of the week, Sunday; however, not as a Sabbath, but as an assembly day of the church, to study the Word of G-d together, and to celebrate the ordinances one with another: without a shadow of doubt, this took place as early as the first part of the second century."-Bishop GRIMELUND, "History of the Sabbath," page 60 "The festival of Sunday, like all other festivals, was always only a human ordinance."- AUGUSTUS NEANDER, "History of the Christian Religion and Church," Vol. 1, page 186. "We have seen how gradually the impression of the Jewish Sabbath faded from the mind of the Christian church, and how completely the newer thought underlying the observance of the first day took possession of the church. We have seen that the Christian of the first three centuries never confused one with the other, but for a time celebrated both." The Sunday Problem, a study book by the Lutheran Church (1923) p.36 "But they err in teaching that Sunday has taken the place of the Old Testament Sabbath and therefore must be kept as the seventh day had to be kept by the children of Israel .... These churches err in their teaching, for scripture has in no way ordained the first day of the week in place of the Sabbath. There is simply no law in the New Testament to that effect" John Theodore Mueller, Sabbath or Sunday, pp.15, 16 Shocking Baptist Church Statements "There was and is a command to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not Sunday. It will however be readily said, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week, with all its duties, privileges and sanctions. Earnestly desiring information on this subject, which I have studied for many years, I ask, where can the record of such a transaction be found: Not in the New Testament - absolutely not. There is no scriptural evidence of the change of the Sabbath institution from the seventh to the first day of the week." Dr. E. T. Hiscox, author of the ‘Baptist Manual’. "To me it seems unaccountable that Jesus, during three years’ discussion with His disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question, discussing it in some of its various aspects, freeing it from its false [Jewish traditional] glosses, never alluded to any transference of the day; also, that during the forty days of His resurrection life, no such thing was intimated. Nor, so far as we know, did the Spirit, which was given to bring to their remembrance all things whatsoever that He had said unto them, deal with this question. Nor yet did the inspired apostles, in preaching the gospel, founding churches, counseling and instructing those founded, discuss or approach the subject. Of course I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history as a religious day as we learn from the Christian Fathers and other sources. But what a pity that it comes branded with the mark of Paganism, and christened with the name of the sun-god, then adopted and sanctified by the Papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism." Dr. E. T. Hiscox, report of his sermon at the Baptist Minister’s Convention, in ‘New York Examiner,’ November 16, 1893 "There was never any formal or authoritative change from the Jewish seventh-day Sabbath to the Christian first-day observance." -WILLIAM OWEN CARVER, "The Lord’s Day in Our Day," page 49. "There is nothing in Scripture that requires us to keep Sunday rather than Saturday as a holy day." Harold Lindsell (editor), Christianity Today, Nov. 5, 1976 Shocking Church of Christ Statements "But we do not find any direct command from G-d, or instruction from the risen Christ, or admonition from the early apostles, that the first day is to be substituted for the seventh day Sabbath." "Let us be clear on this point. Though to the Christian ‘that day, the first day of the week’ is the most memorable of all days ... there is no command or warrant in the New Testament for observing it as a holy day." "The Roman Church selected the first day of the week in honour of the resurrection of Christ. ..." Bible Standard, May, 1916, Auckland, New Zealand. "The first day of the week is commonly called the Sabbath. This is a mistake. The Sabbath of the Bible was the day just preceding the first day of the week. The first day of the week is never called the Sabbath anywhere in the entire Scriptures. It is also an error to talk about the change of the Sabbath. There never was any change of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. There is not in any place in the Bible any intimation of such a change."-"First-Day Observance," pages 17, 19. "It has reversed the fourth commandment by doing away with the Sabbath of G-d’s Word, and instituting Sunday as a holiday." DR. N. SUMMERBELL, "History of the Christian Church," Third Edition, page 4I5. "... If the fourth command is binding upon us Gentiles by all means keep it. But let those who demand a strict observance of the Sabbath remember that the seventh day is the ONLY sabbath day commanded, and G-d never repealed that command. If you would keep the Sabbath, keep it; but Sunday is not the Sabbath. The argument of the ‘Seventh-day Adventists’ is on one point unassailable. It is the Seventh day not the first day that the command refers to." G. Alridge, Editor, The Bible Standard, April, 1916. Shocking Southern Baptist Church Statements "The first four commandments set forth man’s obligations directly toward G-d.... But when we keep the first four commandments, we are likely to keep the other six. . . . The fourth commandment sets forth G-d’s claim on man’s time and thought.... The six days of labour and the rest on the Sabbath are to be maintained as a witness to G-d’s toil and rest in the creation. . . . No one of the ten words is of merely racial significance.... The Sabbath was established originally (long before Moses) in no special connection with the Hebrews, but as an institution for all mankind, in commemoration of G-d’s rest after the six days of creation. It was designed for all the descendants of Adam."-Adult Quarterly, Southern Baptist Convention series, Aug. 15, 1937. "The sacred name of the Seventh day is Sabbath. This fact is too clear to require argument [Exodus 20:10 quoted]… on this point the plain teaching of the Word has been admitted in all ages… Not once did the disciples apply the Sabbath law to the first day of the week, -- that folly was left for a later age, nor did they pretend that the first day supplanted the seventh." Joseph Hudson Taylor, ‘The Sabbatic Question’, p. 14-17, 41. Shocking Protestant Episcopal Church Statement "The day is now changed from the seventh to the first day... but as we meet with no Scriptural direction for the change, we may conclude it was done by the authority of the church." ‘Explanation of Catechism’ Shocking Presbyterian Church Statements "A further argument for the perpetuity of the Sabbath we have in Matthew 24:20, Pray ye that your flight be not in the winter neither on the Sabbath day. But the final destruction of Jerusalem was after the Christian dispensation was fully set up (AD 70). Yet it is plainly implied in these words of the Lord that even then Christians were bound to strict observation of the Sabbath." Works of Jonathon Edwards, (Presby.) Vol. 4, p. 621. "The Christian Sabbath (Sunday) is not in the Scriptures, and was not by the primitive church called the Sabbath." Dwight’s Theology, Vol. 14, p. 401. "G-d instituted the Sabbath at the creation of man, setting apart the seventh day for the purpose, and imposed its observance as a universal and perpetual moral obligation upon the race." American Presbyterian Board of Publication, Tract No. 175. "The observance of the seventh-day Sabbath did not cease till it was abolished after the [Roman] empire became Christian," American Presbyterian Board of Publication, Tract No. 118. "The Sabbath is a part of the Decalogue-the Ten Commandments. This alone for ever settles the question as to the perpetuity of the institution ... Until, therefore, it can be shown that the whole moral law has been repealed, the Sabbath will stand...The teaching of Christ confirms the perpetuity of the Sabbath."- T.C. BLAKE, D.D., "Theology Condensed," pages 474, 475. "There is no word, no hint in the New Testament about abstaining from work on Sunday. The observance of Ash Wednesday, or Lent, stands exactly on the same footing as the observance of Sunday. Into the rest of Sunday no Divine Law enters." Canon Eyton, in The Ten Commandments. "Some have tried to build the observance of Sunday upon Apostolic command, whereas the Apostles gave no command on the matter at all.... The truth is, so soon as we appeal to the litera scripta [literal writing] of the Bible, the Sabbatarians have the best of the argument." The Christian at Work, April 19, 1883, and Jan. 1884 So the question remains for you, are you going to follow the Roman Catholic Church, who believes their power supersedes the word of Yahweh, or are you going to follow the word of Yahweh? Truth over tradition is the better choice.

Only logical that the early church would start meeting on Sunday as more gentiles came into the fold. The gentiles weren't going to the synagogues on Saturday with their Jewish brethren. I never thought they met then because of the resurrection, just seems like the logical day to do it in a Jewish/gentile church. Of course as Jews by and large did not respond to evangelism and gentiles did, the church became a mostly gentile entity, continuing their tradition of meeting on Sunday.

Jacob Proctor , The 613 mosaic laws written by Moses, are different then the Ten Commandments that God wrote with his own finger tip... Why do people not separate the two differences, That God hand written 10 laws in stone , And Moses hand written 613 laws to ... Big difference in who wrote what ... I guess you don't understand priesthood under the tribe of Levi, and a priesthood under the tribe of Judah... Expain the law and works from the Tribe of Judah .. Judah was under the the the 10 commandments law .. But they didn't do the same works as a Levi priest ... I call blasphemy on you behalf of removing Gods law with you own finger tip .. And not seeing it was God that wrote the words to Remember the Sabbath and to keep it holy ... When I was growing up , I never once question what the Sabbath Day was ... My first 30 years I was blinded to this one factor and subject ... But what If Jesus broken Sabbath law ... If he went to teach or read from old scripture , What day do you think they went on ... You tell me that Jesus himself didnt apply to that 1 commandment ... I will disagree with that 100% ... Other wise you sins could never be removed or washed away by the blood of Jesus ...

Greg Hamilton No, he never broke the Sabbath, what he did was break the elders traditions and rules placed around the Sabbath. As Yahweh's first created being and existing in Yahweh's heavenly likeness, yes he is his first born Son, but not only this, he is also his first born Son of the resurrection, that in all things He Yahushua would have the preeminence. Michael Deo Jesus said to him, "Get up, take up your bed, and walk." John 5:8 On the Sabbath, look into what there mats where and tell me that's not a load to carry. Thus says the Lord : Take care for the sake of your lives, and do not bear a burden on the Sabbath day or bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem. Jeremiah 17:21 Hebrew literal meaning is must not bear a load. This make legalistic people very uncomfortable. The big question is why did Jesus command this man to go against the law?

This is just a silly stupid debate, how evangelicals have become the modern day Pharisee bound by the letter of law. God help us. Jesus is the sabbath let’s go into the world and model true rest (sabbath) instead of arguing about the sabbath. The very thing the Pharisees challenged Jesus about you are now doing. God help us.

People forget that this is the Lord’s day. It is called the Lord’s day because the Lord was raised upon the first day (Matthew 28:31). The Church of the Lord was established upon the first day (Acts 2). Christians in the first century as well as today meet to worship God and to remember the Lord’s death, burial and resurrection in a memorial supper upon the first day (Acts 20:7). We give of ourselves out of that which God has prospered us, upon the first day (1 Corinthians 16:1-2).

@@endofdays7708 ADVENTISM DECEPTION We're in the New Testament. The Lord of the sabbath left out the sabbath keeping commandment when he quoted the moral law from the ten commandments. Why? This is where the Lord DEMONSTRATED for all to see that the fourth commandment is not a moral law, as well as the fact that the 7th day sabbath was one of the feasts of the LORD as noted in Leviticus 23:2-4. This proves that the sabbath day mentioned in Colossians 2:16,17 is the 7th day sabbath. Unfortunately, Adventists have been hoodwinked being told that the sabbath in Colossians is a ceremonial sabbath. Adding to this significance, a former Adventist pastor said, "They [the Adventists] cling to the law to justify their idolatrous view of the 7th day sabbath." The ten commandments mentions the sabbath day, and that's why it's treated as a mantra, repeated over and over again to somehow "prove" sabbath keeping for the New Testament believer in spite of the teaching of God's Word. The danger of sabbath keeping as a moral law is believing something that's not true, putting oneself under the law, and stepping on the grace of Christ. Jesus did not teach sabbath keeping in heaven, therefore to bring up Isaiah 66 is irrelevant to the Church age. Some people have SDA indoctrination and arguments, or have fallen for the Hebrew Roots Movement heresy. When an Adventist dies, and their consciousness survives death, they then realize that they were deceived, but it's too late. According to 2 Timothy 1:10, Jesus abolished death, and brought life and immortality (life after death) to light through the gospel. He demonstrated this fact by the examples of when Moses and Elijah appeared at his transfiguration, the rich man and Lazarus, and the thief on the cross. Paul mentioned going to be with the Lord in Philippians 1:23, 24 as soon as he departed from this world. This is the case for all true believers as noted in 2 Corinthians 5:8 -- "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." The body is dead after the spirit leaves (James 2:26), and sleeps in death until the resurrection. The Old Testament saints WERE GATHERED to their fathers to a place Jesus called, Abraham's bosom. Other Ellen White false doctrines she invented or imposed are: probation, the investigative judgment, Jesus is Michael the archangel, annihilation, soul sleeping (mentioned above), etc. Jesus said to follow him, that there would be false prophets, and to take heed that you are not deceived. According to the KZbin video, I SAW THE FOUNDER OF SEVENTH DAYS ADVENTISM IN HELL, Ellen White was seen in the nether world. According to Galatians 5:20,21, heretics do not enter the kingdom of God. Unfortunately, many have followed Ellen White all the way to their grave. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, a stranger they will not follow."

Here is the answer: We Christians do keep all the commandments. We are spiritual Hebrews not ethnic Hebrews. By faith in Christ we have entered God's Sabbath which is not the Jewish Sabbath. We go to church on Sunday because Jesus resurrected on a Sunday. Everyday since the end of creation and until Christ's return is God's Sabbath. Hebrews 4. Particularly: Heb 4:8-11: "For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day. There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his. Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience."

THE BIBLE SAYS THE LAW WAS CHANGED? OR WAS IT REMOVED? Heb 7:12 “For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a CHANGE (3331) also of the law. ” But what was the Law changed to? That capitalized “change” is a different Greek word from the first one in this verse. Different word, different meaning. Right? So what is our meaning here? Here are two more examples of how this Greek word is used. I have capitalized the words for clarity. Heb 11:5 “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his TRANSLATION (3331) he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” Now, was Enoch “changed,” or was he moved to somewhere else? He was moved or transferred somewhere else. This is one meaning of this word. This next verse will show that even more conclusively. Heb 12:27 “And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the REMOVING (3331) of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.” Removal! That nails it. The Mosaic Law was removed out of the way. “Change” just doesn't quiet get it. “But, but, but; how can we be sure?” This verse will add clarity to it. Heb 7:18 “For there is verily a DISANNULLING (115) of the commandment (the Law) going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.” Here Paul is writing in the same context as the original verse 12 at the top of this post. So what is he saying here? One more verse to clinch this thing. Heb 9:26 “For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared TO PUT AWAY (115) sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Same Greek word in this previous verse translated “disannulling.” The Mosaic Law was PUT AWAY! As in a trunk in heaven! And there it is confirmed! The Greek language is beautifully clear! Of course, many simply refuse to believe the biblical texts. The “disannulling” of the commandment is “to put away” the commandment! The Law was indeed put away, nullified, nailed to the cross, removed, and taken out of the picture for all believers. Unless you have gone to many various churches, you would not believe how many Christians are still struggling daily under these old covenant laws and burdens, thinking they are obeying and pleasing God by observing them. And the “Law” being put away by the sacrifice of Christ! It is a tragedy of suffering in the Body of Christ, brought on by legalistic teachers persuading believers they are required to do these things in order to be saved. It is a heavy burden to bare. And unnecessarily so!

@@partlysimpson5154 No. Not at all. We remember the Sabbath day. It's a sign between God and his people (ALL who believe in Him...love Him and keep His commandments) irrespective of your race. It's not something you turn on for one day and turn it off after. You have worked all the other days of the week, that day is a day to rest, assess all you've done during the week and worship Him who made it possible for you. Also, everyday is a blessed day but the Sabbath day is surely a day of rest and gladness as instructed by God. Do I break the Sabbath sometimes? Yes I do. I am a sinner and I acknowledge that and ask for God's forgiveness and make conscious efforts to be better. As far as all the other commandments are concerned, including the Sabbath, we are commanded to keep them all. We are humans, we sin daily. But what is your relationship with God? Acknowledge your sin with a broken and contrite heart and come to Him. He will forgive us. What matters is that we pray for the Holy Spirit to be in us, always, so we can do the will of our Father in heaven.

If we’re supposed to keep the sabbath doctrinally and adhere to the ordinances and laws of the Torah, then doesn’t that mean we’re supposed to put to death anyone who violates the sabbath command. And that even kindling a fire would be considered punishable by death. Seeing as this is obviously not permissible today by any standards and that most of us (even seventh day Adventist and others) clearly violate sabbath means that thinking living by the Torah the way they did back then is doctrinally relevant to believers in Christ today is a big fallacy. And doesn’t the entire book of Galatians pretty much clear up under law vs grace debate . Btw just so you know I don’t think keeping the sabbath is wrong or believe that the law and the Torah is irrelevant but, that it all points to Christ and the complete sacrifice he made on the cross and that his resurrection on the first day of the week began the whole Sunday thing although I believe everyday is a holy day in Christ.

Brother, check yourself. Please be vigilant with your soul. This is the typical 'western knee jerk' response of preaching Paul as if the truth starts with him THEN Jesus. I could go on, ad infinitum, but the bottom line is Yah himself said His word will not pass away and Paul is flesh and blood, subject to not only misinterpretation but human error. Even Peter wrote that there would be those who would twist Paul's words to mean something incorrect, and I'm sorry to say 90% of western pastors got it wrong - yes 90%. This culture celebrates Christmas (pagan), Easter (pagan), a Sunday sabbath (pagan), etc., etc. But the debate is ceaseless. One rule of measurement however, trumps any debate - fruit. Since I've cried out to my Yah, and kicked the world out, embraced His Torah, etc., I've seen a DRAMATIC change; healings, supernatural provisions, surprising favor with men, blessing with my children, and on and on. The Almighty didn't speak a multitude of words only for a first century jewish convert to come along and flush His commandments with a stroke of a pen.... A STROKE OF A PEN? It's a crazy, adulterated and perverse world of manipulation we live in with the enemy at the wheel. There's only ONE truth, as Yahshua said; Thy Word is truth. NOT Paul's, but Yah's Word. Did the disciples look to these books you're quoting?? An emphatic NO. The Word to them was the same to Yahshua - The Old Testament. Don't mistake my passionate expression as anger. It's just the older I get the more serious I get with Yah. We need to all repent and cry out to Him for His guidance and pray for deliverance from any deception as it will increase in these last days.

This is a really weak point. We're grafted into the NEW covenant, not the Old one. God told them in Jeremiah 31:32 that the new covenant would be unlike the old one. Hebrews 8:12-13 would highlight that the bringing of a new covenant would suggest that the previous one is old and fading away. One is free to keep the sabbath if one so chooses (Romans 14:5ff) but a church that commands sabbath keeping is creating a command that God didn't give to the Gentiles. Note even the apostles in Acts 15 when they deliberated on the will of God concerning the gentile converts concluded that all God required of them that they don't engage in practices associated with idol worship. Act 15:28-29 "For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.”

Use of this selected snippet of the debate in order to try to prove Sabbatarianism, is woeful example of shallow reasoning. It represents, in fact, extremely low resolution thinking, to say the least. As for the Judaizer, his argument fails to differentiate the Israelite nation after the flesh from the true Commonwealth of Israel (Romans 9:6; Romans 10:1-3; Ephesians 2:12, 13). For it is abundantly clear that the true Commonwealth of Israel is not Israel after the flesh. It is not that Israel, neither is it made of Jerusalem below which is still under bondage with her children (Galatians 4:25). Rather, the true Israel is comprised not of Jews which are made Jews outwardly (Romans 2:28) comprised of the unbelieving nation of israelites labouring under the Old Covenant (Romans 10:1-3) Rather, the true Israel is today comprised equally of all Nations (and Jews) which believe the Gospel (Isaiah 19:23-25; Galatians 3:26) And indeed, if the person posting the video had bothered to check his facts, he might have learnt that the Sabbath days were indeed given uniquely under the Old Covenant, as the SIGN of the Covenant to the fleshly NATION of Israel ALONE (Exodus 31: 13; Ezekiel 20:3, 11-12). And it is abundantly clear that the sign of the covenant was given to Israel after the flesh. For surely, Ezekiel points out the rebellious nature of the people under the Old Covenant (Ezekiel 20:3, 7-8). So the Law was a schoolmaster to bring Israelites according to the flesh, to Christ. And once come to Christ, the true Israel is NOT under such a schoolmaster (Galatians 3:24, 25). But Christ has also set His true Israel free from obligation to the shadowy elements of the Law (Galatians 5:1; Colossians 2:16). And the Old Covenant has now become OBSOLETE (Hebrews 8:13).

If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15 KJV Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: Exodus 20:8‭-‬9 KJV Saturday is the day of the Lord The claim that Christ by his death abolished his Father’s law, is without foundation. Had it been possible for the law to be changed or set aside, then Christ need not have died to save man from the penalty of sin. The death of Christ, so far from abolishing the law, proves that it is immutable. The Son of God came to “magnify the law, and make it honorable.” [Isaiah 42:21.] He said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law;” “till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in nowise pass from the law.” [Matthew 5:17, 18.] And concerning himself he declares, “I delight to do thy will, O my God; yea, thy law is within my heart.” [Psalm 40:8.] GC88 466.3 Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Sabath means to rest...If Jesus said " all thats burdened and heavy laidwn come to ne and I will give you rest, then it means that our rest is no physical day, Jesus is the anti-type of the physical day that the Jews couldnt keep as in Hebrews 4, because of unbelief, Jesus Himself healed on the sabath...and He said that He is Lord of the Sabbath!!! The phusical rest of the Jews is the spiritual rest of the Gentiles where we have to cease from our works ( like God did) and Him doing the works in us...a christian does not work, he rests ( in Christ), then God does the works in him...that's the rest (Sabbath) that Christ was referring to. And " heaven and earth shall pass away..." shows we can't cling to a day that will come to an end, we need something eternal and that's God...

Romans 5:12-21. What do you believe the implications are for Jesus Christ being the "NEW ADAM" whom we are "reborn" through to "live in the Spirit of the Law" being "LOVE" (John 13:34)???

Seventh day Adventists problem is that they take scripture out of context by using isolated versus that support their theological positions. The Bible must be studied in its entirety.

It's so easy to refute Jim. If a gentile comes to Christ after starting to keep the law then he 's delivered from the law Rom.7:1-7. It is against the law for a gentile to keep the Sabbath, they have to become proselyted Jews Eze 44:7-9 . The new Israel is a faith based Israel and are not under the old covenant Torah. The new covenant has it's own Commandments(written in our hearts) and laws which are far better than the two greatest in the Torah Deut. 6:5 and Lev. 19:18b. I would give anything to debate Jim Staley.

Exodus 31:14 “Therefore you are to keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 15 For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest [Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:1-3], holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.“ (NASB) Exodus 35:1 Then Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and said to them, “These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do: 2 “For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, a Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord [Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:1-3]; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.“ (NASB) Numbers 15:32 Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness [Heb. midbar], they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day [Exodus 20:8-11; Leviticus 23:1-3]. 33 And those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation; 34 and they placed him in custody, because it had not been decided what should be done to him. 35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must be put to death [Exodus 31:14-15; Exodus 35:1-2; Deuteronomy 27:26; Matthew 5:18]; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” 36 So all the congregation [Heb. edah] brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. (NASB) Hebrews 3:17 And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness [Heb. midbar]? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest [Psalm 95:11; Hebrews 4; Matthew 11:28-30], but to those who were disobedient? (NASB) Deuteronomy 27:26 “ ‘Cursed is anyone who does not fulfill the words of this Law by doing them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ “ (NASB) Matthew 5:18 “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away [Revelation 21], not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished!“ (NASB) The one who has ears, let him hear.

The day of remembrance for the Christian is the first day of the week., not the Sabbath or seventh day of the week. It is upon this day, the first day of the week, that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead (John 20:1). It was upon this day that first century Christians remembered the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord by partaking of the Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7). Just as the Sabbath was a day of remembrance for the Hebrew relative to his deliverance from Egyptian bondage, so is the first day of the week a day set aside for the Christian to remember his deliverance from the bondage of sin through Christ’s sacrificial death.
