This was actually very encouraging. I'm not alone in thinking this is genuinely the best Pokemon channel on the platform and that's only because of your ambition and vision. In retrospect it seems obvious that with this style of video you were going to have a bunch of ideas that wouldn't make it. Loved seeing the part in Dylan's room where you talked about how you were sure the video would be good. Im so glad that even though that particular idea didn't work out your confidence in what your new style would be persisted and this channel became what it is. Hell, when I watch your videos I actually pay attention to the sponsored segments because you're one of the few people who can integrate them well and make them entertaining with pure videography skills.

You're so creative with your ideas dude! Don't stop trying things out. I don't think this is time wasted at all either. You just learned some ways it doesn't work and you hopefully learned some boundaries to have in terms of how much time or energy it takes to do if it's affecting your life adversely. Please don't give up or ever think your fans will ever be completely disappointed for you trying to get some cool content out
@kayla_eevee2 ай бұрын
This is the first video of yours I've watched so I'm not familiar with how you prefer to approach things but it seems like a lot of these "failures" would be a lot easier to handle by reframing the concept from "I am going to do this" to asking "can this be done?" That way, an attempt is never a failure. A success would feel massively rewarding while a "failure" is just exploring the best possible strategies. Either way, I love challenges like these so I'm definitely subscribing. Just try not to let "failures" get to you too much. A win is nice but the real fun with stuff like this is in exploring and exploiting the mechanics of the game.

Here’s an idea, make a Pokemon draft league with all your mates that you do videos with, any pokemon goes for selection, vs each other once a week for points to go towards standings on a ladder, BO3 one single battle, one double battle and then coin flip for the third battle. Twist is each week you randomize abilities for every BO3 so you could have a hadron engine Miraidon one week and then truant the next…. Last twist, you just cheat and pick any ability you want every week and try not to get caught.
@FreeThuggerNOW7 ай бұрын

Im gonna copy this in all vids to get the chance higher. I do have a small idea that might be hard to pull off but cool to do. Idk if this is possible but you should try to code double battle mechanics. Me and my opponent picks 2 and leaves 1 starter like Pat did in his tournament video you were in. You could try to code switching out the duo of starters you get but instead of one switching, both do, kinda like soul link. And if 1 dies the other one does. Also an extra idea, combine moves, stats, picking the best ability, and same items, but you don't have to do that. I don't really know much about pokemon battling but I thought I'd be a cool idea. I really hope you see this, I love you videos and I've been subbed for a while (not on this account) also your vids, 💯

For the responding to comments video, imo sometimes it's okay to make videos made just for prior viewers who already know what's going on, without having to recap everything. As long as you provide easy access to prior videos, new viewers can always go back to get the context if they're interested in the idea. And a lot of people are pretty good at inferring context enough to still enjoy a video on a subject they don't have prior knowledge about. I think in particular on a video about responding to comments on a prior video it's especially forgivable.

Most of these have me thinking you should have just made the video anyway with what you had. You don't actually have to succeed in what you set out to do for the video to be entertaining. In fact "it's possible in theory but here's what's preventing it from working in practice" is a perfectly satisfying conclusion.
