So thatsss why the manager of the Roman Continental was asking if John Wick was there for the pope. He wanted the job.

Some may think how funny those comments are about the actors playing different roles, but as a matter of fact, those comments are simply pathetic.

Excellent movies, especially with an actor like Russel Crowe. the film is based upon a true story yes, but like almost all the movies, with lots of legend and romanced..this story about dominicains, priest, pope, Spanish Inquisition, demons and whatever in Spain is romanced. In fact, church didn't want to have another inquisition and even not Isabel the catholic and Ferdinand of Aragon. The principal motor of it was the people itself that wanted to be free of conversos, (jews converted to catholicism) and muslims. One centurie and half before created, (1478 ) "exigit sinceroem devotionis" (Spanish Inquisition), peoples mades troubled in Toledo and other place against Jews, and Spanish church defended them. I advise to read "history of Spanish Inquisition " of Henry Kamen, before to make another wrong idee about church. In fact was anglo-saxon culture to build Leyenda nera della Ispagna, to cover and excuse abominables crimes against indiens of nord America. And this is history and not demagogy.

anglo saxon culture seems to conveniently forget about fray Bartolomé de las Casas and his defense of indigenous peoples against spanish encomiendas and slavery.

Bartolomeo de las cas was a Dominican, the son of a father conversos, in other words, of those Jews who were not always honestly and sincerely converted to the Catholic faith. He retained a certain resentment against the Spanish Church. By exaggerating and blaming the Spanish conquistadors and of course the Catholic Church, he thus contributed to creating a kind of black legend of Christianity. But Las Casas' account is extremely reductive, especially since he is not a historian and even less an explorer and an adventurer. The historical reality is quite different, and even if, indeed, there were exactions on the part of many Spaniards, the conquistadors, supported by men of the church, did their best to teach them how to cultivate the land, etc. I advise our dear Internet users to read books that can be found on amazon, but unfortunately, only in French. "The Church at the Risk of History". The best thing to do is to scan the pages and then translate them. You will see that the story told by real historians is very different from the school version. regards..

This movie was set to release in September. Studio dumped it early not to compete with Nefarious but to drown it out. 3,000 theaters versus the less than a hundred nefarious was left with. Nefarious will change your mind or lifestyle. The pope's exorcist blasphemes repeatedly and doesn't accomplish anything more than previous films. Do yourself a favor and enjoy Sean Patrick Flanerys A+ performance in his return to the big screen.

There's something a little clichéd about the concept of evil fighting evil. But the real evil of the Catholic Church taking on imaginary evil of space fairies and their equally imaginary counterparts is nothing new. I bet it's funny though 😂😂

Why do all atheists talk the exact same way and use the same kind of humor?
@@kiklopka8690 you calling it faux intellectualism with a hint of sarcasm of just dripping with irony. Your faux defence of the world's most objectively evil organisation is as depraved as the organisation itself. And this has nothing to do with atheism, just the evil of the Catholic Church.
