Lynn University's College of Business and Management hosted TedxLynnUniversity: Empowering you to innovate a world of business! on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Founder of Fashom | XFashom | Business Strategy Consultant | Practicing Mindfulness in Business
Mitali Saxena is an entrepreneur & fashion strategy leader. With a strong track record of building successful fashion startups, Mitali has developed and expanded a fashion tech brand from zero to a multi-million-dollar revenue business. Mitali Saxena holds a Bachelors in Computer Engineering, and Masters in Electrical Engineering. After her 8- year career in Wireless Communications and fed up with the disparity between fashion industry beauty standards and the needs of real women, she founded her Fashion Tech startup, a style-centered online community, called Fashom, in Miami. Saxena is currently working on launching a B2B SaaS platform that uses AI/ML to help retailers reduce returns and predict and plan inventory. In addition, Saxena runs her own program for feeding underprivileged kids in Swaziland, Africa called Foodom, and supports non-profit organizations for animals, with one dollar from every Fashom box going directly to rescue stray animals in NYC. Mitali has personal interests in Yoga, Spirituality, Technology and Fashion. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. This talk could not have come at a more opportune time. Many among us are busier than ever and yet feel so unaccomplished and purposeless. I really admired how Ms. Mitali presented this quandary, then built her case and finally tied it all up with how she has successfully implemented her approach in her own life. I also loved how she reveals her vulnerabilities and makes human connection with her audience. Very thorough study succinctly presented with support of scientific evidence and senses.

Excellent talk! Very well explained by Ms Saxena. This presentation is very appropriate for the busy life we all live nowadays. Ms Saxena brings to our attention why we should be consciously present in order to develop our own emotional intelligence and consequently our awareness intelligence. Self-awareness creates a deeper understanding of ourselves which is invaluable for personal growth and development.

Amazing insights Mitali! We are so busy and consumed by thoughts of the past and future that we forget that the moment that matters the most is PRESENT! I have been meditating for a year now and it truly makes a difference!
