I would love to see you do a video showing make up techniques you don’t use and why. I know you’ve mentioned that you don’t really do a traditional smokey eye, matte or high contrast lips, black liner, bronzer as contour. I’d love to see you do a bunch of those all in one look just for sh!ts and giggles.

Every time you said you were “catfishing” with the full beat side I got reminded of that Sailor J video that went “if men find out we can shape shift they are going to tell the church!” And it sent me into a round of straight up cackling. My mum is hearing me from downstairs and she’s getting worried. I really like this concept, I have accepted my fate of Accidental Smoky Eye Doer; it doesn’t bother me, I have pale eyes and black brows so I like the contrast. But when I stray into full beat face, even if it is comfortable I feel like I can’t emote or touch or do anything because there is makeup on my face and it must stay intact. It’s like wearing a hairstyle you’re not used to, or dangly earrings when you prefer small ones, you are super aware it’s there.

I have been really loving figuring out how to perfect my base with as little product as possible through color correcting primers and spot concealing. I rarely use all over foundation anymore, I either let my primer do the bulk of the work or opt for a skin tint. It really does look so much better and lasts so much longer. More is more for me though when it comes to blush 😂

Less makeup on the skin is the most important thing for me. It looks so much better in person, which is where most of us are wearing these looks. Not to mention how much better it looks on skin with wrinkles/texture issues/etc. It also feels so much nicer - far more comfortable! Anyone with sensory aversions to makeup...try using less!

People always tell me “but you don’t really wear makeup” but it’s like I DO wear makeup because I do every step, but I make sure to apply light layers and make sure it doesn’t look too intense. And the products I use are glowy which give the no makeup makeup look!

Is anyone old enough to remember that sassy magazine used to feature “makeunders”instead of makeovers in their magazine? It was so fun. I’m a big makeup fan, but I wish I saw more of this.

Sassy was the best. Their advice columns were REAL girl issues like “I pee incredibly loud…help me in a public bathroom” and they featured Zine creators and awesome reader submissions like political comics. I miss it!

I like your style of makeup and it was cool to see both sides at the same time on your face. Please tell us more about this idea of one layer all over technique but still all the products. Something I would like to try.
@kackie2 жыл бұрын
It's a little gimmicky the way I usually see it. It's just dots of every color you need and blending vs foundation, then concealer, then powder, etc. I do find that evening the texture of my skin is more helpful regardless of coverage level, so I always use at least a skin tint or a primer, but past that I don't layer unless I want to combine the colors. Does that make sense? It's like color PLACEMENT as opposed to color LAYERING.

Hey Kackie! I’m wondering if I missed your review and results from Musely. Anxiously awaiting! I think I want to purchase but curious about what you think - did I miss it??
@kackie2 жыл бұрын
I didn't end up making the video because I kind of lost my excitement about the product. I should probably make it anyway, I just don't think the photos I took for progress are that helpful. The gist is: it works, but it's pretty rough on your skin. I found I could only use it a couple of days in a row without getting kind of bad irritation, and my skin is TOUGH. So it's a means to an end, but it's by no means something like Curology, where you subscribe forever to maintain the results.
@mrswang55742 жыл бұрын
@@kackie I see. Thanks for the reply - now you don’t have to do the video haha, but I bet you’d get a good response - so many women have melasma. PS: I’m so glad you moved to the east coast. I’m a Bostonian and there is no better place; close to the oceans, better quality food, fast driving ha, etc. Happy holidays.
