Man, I have no words.. I still didn't watched the whole video but it's just amazing.. Thay's teachings are incredibly simple and still, incredible powerful and deep! Just for you to know a little about this presentation. He started talking about empathy and some researches about compassion (with emphasis on the quote, "the practice of compassion is understood to be as important to health as physical exercises and healthful diets"), then he talked about the idea of "interbeing" ("compassion is made of non-compassion elements", "without suffering cannot exist compassion, because compassion is born from understanding that is born from suffering") and then, "compassion" (~the mechanisms of compassion~, he brought here one of the most fundamental and important teachings of the Buddha in a understandable and simple way). And there's more, this is just half of the video. I have to thanks the person who come with the idea of creating a Plum Village's channel here on KZbin. Thich Nhat Hanh is one of the greatest spiritual teachers of our time, not just a buddhist teacher but a great spiritual master. This man with this quiet voice change my entire life with his teachings. And it's an honour that we can watch his presentations. _/\_ Thanks plumvillageonline ! Thanks Thich Nhat Hanh !

Thank you, when Thay is in his heart with joy, and he seems to be present in that joy here, there's a youthful glow around him. As I experience Thay's presence often, he's one of those human beings that live by example, walking their talk. I'm full of smiles now.

For people attending any future plum village talks Please refrain from coughing your lungs out There are people with Mysophonia When people are already distracted trying to come home, this is not only disrespectful and rude, but highly problematic for sensitive ears

I learned from Thay that it is skilful to use objects of irritation as reminders to breathe mindfully. So red lights in traffic, coughing, etc. can become little helpers.
