This is such an amazing movie on so many levels. And simply put you can easily spot a good guy from a bad guy in this movie by observing 1 of 2 things. Are they honest. Are they honourable. The sicilian had two henchmen who were both incrediblly honest and honourable men. Wesley could have died before fighting with either of them if they lacked even honour. The Spaniard could have cut the rope once convincing Wesley to take it. And the giant could have crushed him with the rock before he even knew he was there.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the only injury on set was Billy Crystal’s fault. His ad-libbing and expert improv made the cast, crew, and even the director laugh so loud and so hard that they had to LEAVE SET. WHILE FILMING. Effectively leaving him in an empty room with a few dolls and maybe some of the actors if they could keep quiet. (Keep in mind that Cary Elwes had to hold his breath and keep very still, making it a million times more difficult) And while holding in his laughter just to finish the goddamn scene, Mandy Patinkin SPRAINED A RIB (or broke it, either way it sounded painful). They were shooting that one Miracle max scene for three days, ten hours a day, before they got the perfect shots. And oh my gods, was it worth it. I would pay so much money to be in those rooms and watch the havoc.
