The Proper Way To Smudge A House With Sage | Smudging for Beginners
The ritual of sage burning, also known as smudging, is an essential part of many Native American cultures. Burning these sacred medicines produces smoke that allows the healing benefits of the herb to enter our bodies and our home; this is the perfect guide for beginners. If you're new to smudging or a beginner to the smudge or smudging ritual, this will help you learn how to smudge with sage. But always keep in mind that the smudge ceremony is sacred to the native people and the smudge must always be respected.
How to sage your house to clear negative energy.
1. Gather your tools and close any external airflow.
2. Set your intention, say a mantra, and call in your elevate Angels to assist you for the greatest and highest good of all.
3. Break apart the sage into a wooden bowl and light it up with a good smoke consistency.
4. Slowly walk around your space and wafts the smoke around top to bottom. Be safe!
5. After you have finished, place your sage in a safe area and extinguish if it is still burning strong.
6. Wait up to 1 hour before opening external doors, windows, airflow.

Does it matter what kind of wooden bowl or is it a specific wooden bowl?

hi @luxe-zone-butterfly_, you just want a bowl that will be big enough & deep enough so you have enough room for your sage to fit in spaciously for when you light it on fire.
