Probably the integrated top-tube shock. I like the super clean looks, one of the reasons I love how the Scott Spark RC looks, with the shock hidden in the frame.

@@gmbntech it kinda looks heavy and beefy but it will be stiffer for sure. even the Cannondale lefti is strong imagine having two of those in each side.
@superchickensoup
@superchickensoup Жыл бұрын
@@KaizersPOV Hi all USD forks flex more than standard forks. Also it shares no design features of the lefty, the lefty is not round on the inside and runs on roller bearings not bushings hence why it works so well. Lastly the MTB trade always comes out with stiffer stiffer stiffer, stiffer is not always better and can lead to deflective ride characteristics.

I'm glad as well to see a motorcycle fork design on mountain bikes. I never like seeing the travel reversed but Push Industries fixed that with a simple cover. It looks really good. I can only imagine what it will cost though.

All this new tech is all very good and lovely. However, this is making the sport unaffordable for most. What we need to attract new people is really good quality affordable bike without all the gimmicks and fads.

I've seen lots of comments on other pages about the 5DEV cranks bending already. Can't say those are worth looking at but those inverted forks are so cool. I never understood when getting into mountain biking why there are so few inverted fork options. They just make alot of sense when it comes to how things work.

Semenuk's brake levers being at wildly different angles give me anxiety. I had to go back to the rampage footage to make sure he didn't run them like that. The answer is no, he didn't. There's a clear shot of them being at the same level when the bike is laying on the ground after his run.

this is the best episode from sea otter series guys, all not some of the mtb's are stunning & never mind the tech...the paint jobs are really kicking out this year....but i can't not mention the new tech that's being shown as its pushing the boundaries this year, bottom line is this sport is having a super injection of mods as rival companies ever more pushing for that sweet top spot, would of been nice to visit this year as it must be the best year yet for hot new products. thanks guys 👍

I think it’s the fact that the cranks are made on a five axis machine by a company that usually creates parts for NASA and Spacex is what intrigues people
@asifitmatters1
@asifitmatters1 Жыл бұрын
@@AnnaOnTheBike I think that it is because the bike industry is about two decades behind tech, but charges a ridiculous margin. Therefore the marketing department needs to pretend that all this stuff is cutting edge!! Anyone who actually works in carbon will tell you that it is one of the cheapest and easiest materials to work with. If the truth reached the consumer, then they would begin to question how a simple bike frame can cost up to 6k And how a shitty Trek ExE can cost more than a fully specked BMW motorcycle. And it’s not quantity. Because Trek produces considerably more bicycles than BMW produces bikes ( not to mention that BMW builds their bikes in Berlin (all except their cheapest model) and Trek is made in China)
@8o8ertmtb
@8o8ertmtb Жыл бұрын
Tell me about it, nothing difficult about machining those parts out of Ti at all. Just trying to justify the price.
