I was a drug addict with toxic mental health issues for 15 years... this was a consequence of discovering truth by accident and untangling the indocrination of fundamental Christianity taught to me by my parents. Indocrinated against my will from birth. I also didnt want to take responsibility for my life. Spiritual awakening almost killed me lol. I suffered tremendously when I realized how wrong I was about the nature of reality.... I am so gratelful for all of it now. Years after finding sobriety and healing, as I was trying to walk the road less traveled (great recommendation), I discovered another aspect of myself in the form of Leo. The moment I started watching your videos, my development as an authentic being skyrocketed and my existential understanding of reality deepened greatly. Not because you told me the Truth, but because you always encouraged me to become directly conscious of what is... thank you.

I work as a nurse with medically fragile kids. One of my patients was born with an extra chromosome (Downs syndrome). Each day I see her she attempts to give me a hug and kiss and most days I’m too wrapped up in my own internal dialogue to be present to her. Today, after listening to this I showed up to work. She once again attempted to stop me in my tracks to give me a hug and kiss. As I type this my eyes are filled with tears because she succeeded. I saw her today and she saw me. She hugged me, kissed me on my cheek and in that moment I discovered the meaning of life. Love. I can search and search and search for existential truth but the reality is it’s right here in front of me.

About the diamond in the rough part, I've been thinking the past week about the proper ways of raising cats. Cats actually don't learn through punishment, they learn through rewards, which signals safety and care towards them. But a lot of people are stuck in this 'spray them with water' kind of mentality, which just confused and scares them. If you want to raise a happy and good cat your job is to reward the behaviours you want in clear ways that fit with how cats work, which will be a well worth investment. I think the same goes for humans. I'm a physics teacher in a local secondary school where I live. Which means I regularly think about how learning and growth work and the role of education. Learning and growth happens through facilitating people and creating the right environment for it to take place while taking into account the people you're working with and how they work. There in lies a very valuable shift that can be made in the educational system. I think this shift that you made in your view of your audience reflects a potential for a larger societal maturation that can take place. So bravo for seeing and working to integrate that.

You act like a very entertaining guide to the Museum of Life. However, I never noticed your immaturity because I've been developing alongside you, and I somewhat embodied many of the "wrongdoings" you mention in this video. Over the past year, I have also recognized that these subtle behaviors have affected my relationships (such as sharing too much truth with people who were not open to it, or the urge to classify people and talk down to them). I'm so happy you released this video. It was crucial for me, helping me to better face where I was wrong. This process should lift a lot of burden off my shoulders.

As someone who has been following your work for a very long time (and most likely have seen over 100 videos) but probably never comments on your videos I want to offer you some honest feedback as sign of my respect and gratitude. In my eyes, with the second part of the video especialy, you have demonstrated a great deal of maturity. Maybe I'm stating the obvious, but by the nature of the medium which is KZbin it can sometimes be difficult for me as a viewer to decide how much trust and how much caution to have when engaging with your content as I don't know how much of your teachings you embody on the daily basis. After watching this video I'm once again reassured that putting the trust in you as a teacher was the right decision, and will continue to do so in the future. It strikes even harder since some of the ways you mentioned you were wrong I can 100% agree on, and is something that was visible to me, and I'm sure many other long time viewers as well. In that way I believe it must have required that much more maturity, and caused that much more mental labour to admit to those shortcomings and then publicly share it. To me this was also a great demonstration of the growth and leadership, by showing others what must be done by the example, which I imagine is naturally difficult in youtube videos. Now the hard, and so fun part - I have to go through the process of admitting my wrongs myself ;) but I know it is worth it. Again thank you for this video and I hope you will stay in good health.

Hi Leo really appreciate you recognizing how special your audience members are, even though I might be ego tripping a little bit. Anyways, you said that you are thinking on how to better understand and communicate with your audience, so I wanted to contribute with two ideas: 1. If you haven't already, you could organize individual or group sessions with audience members. You could ask them different kinds of questions and see how they react. You could even have them interact in a group and you would just observe. And like a scientist, you would try to do the same thing with people that aren't audience members as a control group. Like you said in the past, learning == making distinctions. I think this could help you in developing a model of your audience 2. One thing I value a lot is when you talk about your own experiences. This is why I loved this video and that's what prompted me to write this. I think there is value in conceptually explaining everything, but it abstracts away all the complex ways in which this information emerged and continues to live in your personal life. Also, when you speak in the videos you are always very confident. I suppose you're not like this when you're contemplating. I would be very interesting to see you inquire and evaluate and discard ideas, so as to see the way that you handle in real time your self-deception.

It did feel sort of elitist and like you looked down upon people who weren’t at your level of knowledge. Love is one of the most powerful teachings and it’s very important that you take that with you on whatever subject you choose to dive into. Just because we may not be as skilled in spirituality as you doesn’t mean we don’t have things to offer to the world And are not valuable, because we are. We need both sides of the spectrum to be able to appreciate the scale of your and many others wisdom.

I love Leo’s practical episodes but I have to admit I can’t wait for his next solipsistic episode concepts

2 hours in and it really hits home that you are appreciating myself and some of the other listeners who have been here for years watching and re watching videos and implementing these ideas to better our lives. Experiencing multiple awakenings and countless downloads when the dots in my head connect and the information that was just sitting there becomes wisdom. It made me cry to hear you say we have a spark inside because it truly feels like that for me and some of the plans I have for my life that are being worked on daily. Thank you Leo.

I appreciate this episode Leo. Takes a lot of humility and vulnerability to be candid and shoot an episode of this nature. I get so much value from your content and don't mind listening to you for 2+ hours and I notice myself judging others for not being able to hang for that amount of time for your episodes and this episode is a good reminder for me to judge less and not push others to develop tmselves towards truth

I had no idea what consciousness was until Leo started to talk about it. I was blindly following Leo, but it wasn't to my detriment. Leo introduced me to spirituality. I've been meditating consistently for the past six years. Lately, I have become enlightened (not in a bragging way, of course). I was progressively letting go of my ego. The only struggle I have is connecting with people - I'm not socially anxious or self-conscious, but it's difficult to be interested in mundane stuff. At rest, life is amazingly wonderful in the enlightened state.

nothing against you my friend, but wisdom and enlightenment are one of this things where, if you claim to be it, you usually aren't. just a heads up from another fool 🤙

@@Crocodile980-d6h Enlightenment is not something you become. It's simply the recognition that "all is one", which has always been the case, whether you've recognised it or not. That's why enlightenment is such a misunderstood idea. It's why sages and gurus wouldn't call themselves enlightened. It's not an insight you get, or some new state you obtain, it's the only thing that is, when you're conscious of the present moment, here and now. And the present moment is all there every was, "enlightenment" is all there ever is. I believe that's what they also call the cosmic joke- realising you are that, which you've been looking for all this time. People who claim to have become enlightened, have misunderstood it. You've ALWAYS been it.

This beautifully shows the full way. Years ago he opened the body, talking about sport, health, nutrition, exercise and so on. Then, with contemplation, meditation, psychedelics he opened the mind to an incredible extent. Now he is about to open the heart. When all of these are in balance and harmony, maybe that’s the Tao. Hopefully he will tell us when he reaches it.

Leo! I wanted to say thank you for uploading this, I found a new respect for you today. I remember watching your videos a few years ago and ended up walking away due to the abrasiveness you sometimes spoke with towards others, and that collided with my own judgements of you in a way that made it difficult for me to actually listen to what you were saying, and instead get caught up in my disagreements of who you were as a person. A few years later, I’m revisiting out of curiosity and found it really encouraging to hear your reflections, and also highlighted the way I was putting you in a box based on my own judgements of your method of communication. I see you as a beautifully articulated teacher of these topics, and the percussion you speak with is something that is hard to find anywhere else, you are truly unique in the way you teach and I’m very glad I came back to check in with what you’ve been doing. All of this to say, I deeply appreciate your honesty and humility, and the way it also showed me where I was wrong in judgement. I’m glad to see you’re back. Also I wish you the very best in your health issues you’re facing, and wish nothing but positive changes for you. Lots of love

I had to pause the video to take the time to write this. Massive respect for admitting your flaws and mistakes publicly like this, these are truly acts of a great man and how a rolemodel for other men (and women) should act, especially influencers and people that are incentivized to appear perfect and flawless.
