Do you ever feel like when you speak, want to share an idea, or try to convince someone to take some action... people don't take you seriously?
That's exactly how I felt as a kid growing up.
I was painfully shy and would be too afraid to speak because I worried about what people thought of me!
But around the age of 17, I told myself, "Enough is enough."
From that point on, I made a conscious effort to work on my communication skills to show people who I was instead of always hiding in my shell.
I spent countless days studying the psychology of sales and reading books on how to persuade and influence people.
Over the years of this conscious effort, I became the person you see on camera today.
So in my latest KZbin video, I'll be exposing the top secrets I learned throughout my journey that I've been able to use to become more persuasive in my personal life, but in my business life.
What people may not realize is that psychology selling is directly applicable to B2B sales. Whether you're a sales development rep, business development rep, or any account executive, these fundamental principles of the science of persuasion still apply.

"In an ideal world, what would you like to happen?" -- that's a great question, Patrick. I used to ask this all the time as well when trying to understand what the prospect wanted out of a solution like mine. Spot on sales tip.

When I started as a business development manager, I must say I wasn't very confident about the selling part. I wondered if I could pull it off, not out of fear, but because I never strengthened my networking skills. It's not that I dislike networking, but I simply never honed it. Thankfully, your content gave me hope. It reminded me that I could leverage my existing skills in team management, communication, and marketing. Your clear and relatable content feels like it's based on genuine experience. So, thank you! And please keep doing those videos!👍

Hey Patrick, i know its a question not appropriate to this particular video (lOl), but for instance, is it a good way to grasp the attention if somewhere in a cold email we say "I noticed that you have no reviews on google my business or I noticed you dont have XYZ on your webpage..." is it a constructive approach or will it make the seller feel a bit "defensive"? Thanks for the content!

Amazing vid.🥰⚡ Pattrick Question - how can I apply the same strategy to sell my animated explainer videos to SaaS companies & agencies? Any suggestions? N yeah love your sales tips 😊
@patrickdang
@patrickdang 3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the question and I'll think about how to incorporate this answer into a video soon. But to answer your question real quick, you need to find the pain behind why a company would need a video like you're offering. What pain are they experience by doing nothing? Once you get this down, communicate it through a cold email and see if people respond.

@@patrickdang I already highlight problem "low conversions","high bounce rate of their site","personal connection" etc.in my cold emails. But I haven't received a single positive reply 😔 from last 2½ months. If you can please make a video for animated video production agencies like mine🙏 it'll be much appreciated 😊

No, I don't believe there really is no problem at all. Why do you think perfumes are made in the first place? You can't make them buy your product if you don't know it's value yourself.

Very informative but Patrick tends to be verbose so I have extrapolated the steps to an easy framework. I used planting a seed analogy. Here goes: 1) SEED (GOAL): 1. Want them to purchase something? 2. Want them to take action? 3. What to change there perspective? EXAMPLE 1. I want to offer software solution 2. I want this person to be healthy 3. I want them to consider outsourcing 2) PLANT (IDEA) X - I notice X (problem) Y - It can be Y (challenge) Z - I'm curious about Z (solution) EXAMPLE X - I notice X (problem) -Hey, I noticed that a lot of studios in the area are using Excel sheets to manage all of their members -Hey, I'm just curious on a day to day basis, how do you feel every day? You know, like your health wise. Y - It can be Y (challenge) -And I know that it can be time consuming and a lot of work to do. -And some people heart hurts or they get out of breath fast. Does that happen to to and why do you think that is? Z - I'm curious about Z (solution) -I'm just curious to know how you are managing your members right now...They describe pain -Why do you choose to eat those foods? 3) NURTURE (WATER): 1. Pain a) How b) Why c) What EXAMPLE: How -How exactly are you handling your customers? -How exactly are you handling your health? Tried switching to something that tastes good, but little more healthier? Why -Why exactly is that a problem? I mean like how many hours are you spending a week handling these Excel sheets? -Why haven't you done anything to solve this yet? What -What other software have you tried? -And you know what exactly didn't work? 2. Pleasure a) How b) Why c) What How -In an ideal world, how would you wanna handle your customers? Or what would you like to happen? -In an ideal world, how would you handle your health? Or what would you want in terms of health? Why -Reason why is that it seems you have problem and seem like you have clear idea of what you want. I might be able to help you. -Reason why is I have some tips on what I think you could do to get healthy. Since that's already where you wanna go anyways. What -Do you mind if I share it a little bit of what I do with you? -Do you mind if I give you some tips that has helped me? 4) GROW: Sell your solution. Let me know if you have any improvement to this.
