It's insane to think about nuclear war. But that's why we shouldn't fear it so much. @EOS 100 how naive are you. Putin always find an excuse to attack another country. He would find another reason if Nato would not be the case. He said expressly that he does not consider ukrainians as a separate nation and Ukraine as a country. So the full-scale war was a matter of time (the hybrid war has started since 2014) and for us (Ukraine) Nato was a way to defend our country from Russia (at least make it so that Russia has no desire to attack us).

@@jonsonrocket8549 Putin is always telling to Ukraine that no Nato should be in ukraine and that is the red line that has been crossed. Ukr has been warned for so many years and putin has been patient but due to the clown zelensky he took the bait to be a puppet of US and sided with NATO instead of being neutral and doing the minsk agreement, or doing negotiations with Putin. It’s like poking a bear then when it’bit you, you’ll blame the bear. Look what NATO is doing now, none. If Ukr just have been neutral then this wouldn’t be happening. @@---qu9uf your analysis sucks. Putin does not care about NATO, if NATO sought war with Russia, they would start it know. Putin understands that NATO will not attack Russia cause of nuclear weapon which Russia has. All that time Putin wants Ukraine to be a part of Russia and if NATO would not be the case he would find million reasons to attack Ukraine. Ukraine was neutral in 2014 and what happened? Annexed Crimea and occupied Donbass. How can you believe to someone like putin? If today Ukraine demilitarises and surrenders all weapons to secure its neutral status, tomorrow Russia will occupy the entire territory without resistance. That's what being "neutral" means for us, ukrainians, - we will not be able to fight Russia back and no one will help us.

Everybody , European people, American people are all crying today for what is going on in Ukraine and blame Putin. But the truth is that it was predictable and avoidable !!! They ( NATO allies ) ignored Putin concerns , and most importantly they insulted him in every possible way, for many years !!!!! Hi David. I'm a little confused about that significant statement by Putin which you quoted. Do you think he meant that he doesn't want the countries to influence NATO? He said, they "cannot influence". Meaning he can't have it, basically, right? Sorry, it's a little confusing. Because it could mean that they literally can't - but I guess he's expressing that it's very important to him that they don't. Yes?

Listen to the way Putin speaks - he RARELY raises his voice or loses his temper. Instead, he makes very calm, rational, logical arguments. He is an incredibly intelligent man with no time for dramatics (something too many politicians thrive on). He is very eloquent and takes his time to answer questions because he actually has a well thought out response. But I guess many people in the Western hemisphere struggle with respecting someone who demonstrates the unique ability to think beyond what the media tells them to think.

@Scott Spencer It still does not work. Western corporate mainstream media and KZbin are blocking it. The only thing that comes up are 2 or 3 minute Teasers or Trailers on the documentary but not the full documentary. It is not surprising because the Anglo-American Axis do not want the public to know the truth about Putin and see him as the "good guy". It is all about demonizing Putin. Now we have the COVID-19 scam and lie by western corporate media.

This was one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. As someone who hated Putin for no other reason than due to the propaganda that was fed to me as an American, this documentary was illuminating. I still disagree with Putin on many things like his anti-gay social conservative views and his dismissal of communism and his love for capitalism but he is a rational actor who wants the best for his people. I trust him much more than I do the criminals of the CIA or NATO, who want everlasting war. I believe Putin actually wants peace. I respect the man for this reason.

As a westerner view, being bombarded by anti-Putin propaganda? He is the one person that managed to keep a country afloat when it was going to shit, of course he is going to do things that people don't approve of. That is what you have to do as a leader. You can't keep every single person happy. But he is still much more of a leader than I have ever seen in my country. And I feel I have to add this. People might hate me for it. There are hundreds of great leaders modern civilization doesn't agree with. For example a lot of Roman dictators, but they did improve situations for their inhabitants. Now I'm going into a risky area. But Hitler? He introduced an affordable car for the masses, he introduced child welfare and he introduced women's rights. Putin isn't Hitler. Putin isn't in the same category as him. But you do know he is willing to do whatever it takes for his people to prosper.

But turn the tables, for the people in Russia it is agression... the same with invading the middle east, for those people you are terrorists.... The United States can only look at things from their perspective.

What anti-gay social conservative policy? can you specify? Are you living in Russia and know how that policy work? There is no anti-gay law, period, its a pure liberal propaganda, the law doesn't even punish any movie with gay on it it doesn't ban any media which feature gay, Beauty and the Beast got a homosexual character in it and the movie was shown in theater, there are gay celebrities in Russian show-business, they are doing perfectly well. The law was anti pedophile propaganda, and anti-gay propaganda, which mean no gay sex in media, no pedophile sex in media. That is what the law is about. You should visit Russia and see for yourself how many gays on Moscow street.

The Scarred Children of the War Any war is horrific, but a war that involves civilian casualties is many times more so. Of these civilians, children are the most vulnerable. The war in Ukraine will scar its children and change them forever. Still, I believe that it will plant in them the conviction that war brings nothing good, and there is no way to justify the harm and pain that it inflicts. In the past, wars meant occupation, plundering of possessions, and enslavement of the captive. Today conquering another country has no benefits. What will you do once you have conquered the capital? You will have to rebuild it after having ruined it yourself. The advancement of technology and international commerce and industry have made war irrelevant as a means of obtaining supplies and wealth. Today, war is simply redundant, and I believe that today’s children sense this very deeply through their parents and through everything that they themselves are experiencing. The blasts, the blood, and the corpses on the street, the biting cold, the fear, and the uncertainty are injuring their souls, and they will pass the scars they carry on to their children and their children’s children. Even children who are not under an immediate threat of rockets and bombs are sensing what is happening. Humanity is a single body; when organs in that body fight against each other, the whole body suffers, and the whole body learns the lessons. Therefore, I hope the lessons that the children of the war are learning through pain will sink into the consciousness of all of humanity, and everyone, around the world, will understand and feel the futility of war. The next generation will feel that instead of fighting, they would be better off complementing each other's needs by trading. They will know that only through cooperation can they succeed in this world. The insights that today’s children are gaining are priceless. My only regret is that they are gaining them through pain. I wish that we could teach them this through simple education, but life has chosen a different mode of teaching for them. Still, if we can understand what reality is teaching us-that brute force no longer leads to victory, but rather collaboration and mutual complementation-without experiencing brute force firsthand, it will help us transition to a new state of mind where war is not part of the paradigm. It will help us, and it will help our children even more. ᐧ.
