the Queen Mother physically stopped aging around 80. And, she lived to see Charles get old.
@bjornhebergman8785 Жыл бұрын
It was lucky for Charles to have his grandma for more than a half-century. His grandpa died already 12 weeks after his 3rd birthday. It was George VI and his wife, then Queen Elizabeth, who took care of him and celebrated him on his 3rd birthday in November 1951, and it is the only memory Charles ever has had of his mother's dad.

So impressed with the way she was able to do so much physically at that age. I have patients in their 80s who aren't able to do nearly as much.. It was a great thing to witness. You go girl! 🤣
@travelseatsyellowlab3 жыл бұрын
Age 85 and beyond is very old, so no wonder those patients can't do as much. The Queen Mother didn't have to work outside or inside the home, so even when she died, there was little wear and tear on her body compared to those who were younger and worked, truly worked their entire lives.
@niweshlekhak96463 жыл бұрын
@@travelseatsyellowlab I think it has more to do with health care. Prince Philip was a WW2 veteran and lived for 99 years. He fought in the front lines with lot of stress and responsibility in his shoulders because he was an Admiral of an entire fleet. He was not married to the Queen back then so he was allowed to go on the front lines, he faced incredible stress for 5 years with constant bombarding and release of Carbon emission.
@mediterraneanworld2 жыл бұрын
@@travelseatsyellowlab who knows! I actually think her life while luxurious - was extreme rly mentally stressful as well as the pressure of living in a bubble however gilded it might be.
@travelseatsyellowlab2 жыл бұрын
@@mediterraneanworld over time she grew accustomed to living life in the spotlight. For her, I would think that the most stressful times were when her husband ascended the throne unexpectedly, then later, when he died and she forcefully had to carve out a role and reshape her image no longer as queen but the Queen Mother. Some ofh the scandals within the family undoubtedly took their toll but on the whole, she never had to toil behind a stove to prepare meals after working long days, could delegate childcare to her staff when her children were growing up, had homes free of concern for rent, mortgage, maintenance or insurance costs, had chauffeurs. For all the stresses, she had essential comforts that many people can't afford.

A few on the left of politics/and their 2 anarchist pals - poorsod2 - hated HM and all she stood for (there are a couple of pricks in every bunch of roses). At her laying in state the queues were so long they had to keep the doors of the palace of Westminster open so that hundreds of thousands could pay their final respects. The majority loved her as can be seen on this video.
