Crazy to think, this was supposed to be the first movie. However, he couldn't get funding for it and had to come up with the Raid Redemption. The success of that movie funded this :)

I too am confused by the shotgun blast to the face at the end, I really don’t know if what I’m seeing is cgi or not. I’m fact with it’s tiny budget I don’t know how they managed to do most of the stuff they pulled off. The first movie had 1.1 million USD This one had 4.5. Million Technically it’s a much larger budget, but most modern mainstream action movies in the US range from 100 million to 200 million. Everyone involved is a professional and they all out the work In. Gareth is simply one of the best filmmakers in the world.

producing films in Indonesia is probably cheaper than producing films in let's say US, but I agree it's amazing what they can create with much smaller budget

The lamest thing on this sequel is just the metal bat guy. He ruin the whole plot with his unrealistic moves. I believe if they remove that guy, the movie will be much better.
